The pharmacist seems very knowledgeable and you can't beat 'drive thru' anything but the parking lot is in an odd place, shared with a 99 cent store. The entrance/exit is attached to the other store and makes it sort of a pain in the neck to get to. read more

I ordered a Christmas card here and they said their printer is down-it has been down for a week. The lady in the photo department was kind but other times that I called the others were extremely rude and ungracious, as if it was MY fault that THEIR printer was down. I am extremely disappointed and will not be coming here ever again I do not recommend this place to anyone until they fix their services and their customer service. read more

This store is run by a bunch of degenerates. Every time I have tried to use their automated pharmacy service, it claims I need to speak to a representative. Today I waited on hold for literally 21 minutes- all the while, being subjected to horrendous 50's music before I finally hung up in frustration. I drove over there, waited in line with my car for 15 minutes before I stormed into the store. As soon as I get to the counter- which meant even more waiting of course, the pharmacist answers the ringing phone! When she finally asks what she can do for me I show her how I literally waited on hold for 21 minutes and she says "yes everyone has to wait on hold- this person just waited 7 minutes!" OH MY GOD, 7 MINUTES???? I told her- I can deal with seven minutes but 21+ minutes is not acceptable! All I wanted to do was make sure a prescription was refilled! I cringe knowing that every month I have to deal with their Kafkaesque pharmacy. On top of all this, I went to develop a roll of film two days ago, and the girl working there looks at me in horror when I tell her I just want the negatives processed. She literally didn't know what negatives were and told me she couldn't do it. I asked- "Don't you work here?" "Yes, but my manager left me all by myself to train" Right. That makes sense. The customers all looked like they walked out of a burning pit. God I hate this place. read more

This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy that I have ever been to in my entire life! I had my puppy's prescription transferred over to this location around 10am and was told it would be ready by the time I got off work at 7pm! I show up at 7:15pm and wait in the long ass drive thur just go be meet by DeAndrea the cashier at the window. I pulled up and immediately could tell she hates her job and hates people in general. I told her I'm here to pick up meds for my puppy and she immediately states that "they do not have it in stock" I gave her a shocked look on my face and stated I called over 8 hours ago and faxed over the prescription and was told it was in stock and had just enough for his order. I followed up by saying "why didn't anyone call me?" to at least say you don't have it?! I get the ghetto look and eye roll and hear "Well I dunno know but I called another Walgreens and they will fill it for you. It's already almost 8pm and most pharmacies close at that time and it doesn't help that it's on San Pablo avenue one of the busiest streets at this hour! Oh but I'm sure DeAndrea didn't care but guess what DeAndrea my pet is very important to me and yes the other Walgreens had the meds and gave me great service well beyond what you provided Won't be coming back I'll stick to Pharmaca! read more

Astonishingly bad service. I waiting in a long line and they kept calling for help. Two individuals were calling, but only one waiting on customers. When someone finally opened a new line, they took people from the back of the line first, leaving us who had been waiting much longer to continue to wait -- quite a while. I am not sure how long as I decided to leave with five people still in front of me and no movement in the line (at least in front of me) for almost 10-minutes. The employees at this walgreens are very kind, so I don't want to take away too many stars. HOWEVER! I have never gotten in and out of this store in less than 20 minutes. Even when I'm just buying cigarettes, or tampons, or any other single item that I don't need to go roaming around the store for. I don't know what takes so long but it's like as soon as you walk through those sliding doors, you enter some kind of parallel universe where everybody is destined to be late. Only come here if you have the time. Good selection of nail polish, snacks, and a few other items...especially considering it's a more basic walgreens compared to others in the east bay and San Francisco. Also, my friend just told me the pharmacy takes years. But I go to kaiser so...that's none of my business. read more

I go here very often for pharmacy & photo. Pharmacy - long waiting, computer seems to freeze most of the time and patients need to wait longer. Please increase staff. Photo - expensive, the quality is ok. I had passport size photo taken here and it came very bad!! the light and color tone wasn't good. I told the staff that I didn't like and he said I didn't have to pay. Thank you! Wouldn't recommend this place except for emergency. read more

This review is for the pharmacy!!! This is the slowest pharmacy I have been to! I called them. It said that there were 2 callers ahead of me for 20 minutes, then the recording went back to there are more callers ahead of you please wait!!! I have been waiting for 33 minutes and still no one picked up my call. So I hung up!!! I will be changing to a new pharmacy!!! They obviously need more help since they are so understaffed!!! read more

Look, I usually don't get super excited about Walgreens. But Deandra in the pharmacy department went out of her way to call my insurance and figure out why I was paying so much ($50!) for birth control. It turned out my insurance completely covers the brand-name but not the generic. (Not only that, but they provide a three-month supply for the brand-name!) She solved the puzzle, without my even asking. And, since I needed it right away and this Walgreens didn't have it in stock, she called another local Walgreens and had them fill it right away. If it weren't for her, I'd still be paying $50 and having to pick it up every month. This is a person who goes above and beyond, and it's truly awesome to see. read more

Pharmacy staff are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They keep me up to date on my prescriptions. I recently was hit by a car and my meds went from three to 14. They had everything ready for me within 24 hours of discharge from hospital. read more

If I can give it zero stars I would. This is the most fucked up pharmacy ive ever been to. Horrible service, long ass line with only one person taking care of both the line and the drive through. Told me to wait 30mins for my meds and when I came back in 40mins....they gonna tell me to wait another hr. And not to mention the pharmacist was a racist, rude ass woman. Damn they pissed me off. Horrible service. Long wait and wrong prescription. I spent 30 minutes sitting in drive through for them to tell me that they never filled the order, but they will now. So then, I parked and walked into the store. I waited for another 30 minutes for them to fill the order. They knowingly filled the prescription with the wrong pills and handed them to me. I noticed an extra "e" in the beginning of the prescription name but had assumed that it was the same thing. I took it home and gave it to my sister. The next day, my sister took the prescription and felt ill immediately after. So then, we researched the extra "e" on the prescription name and discovered that it was a completely different drug. We called the doctor, who too said it was different and for us to take back to the pharmacy. We called the pharmacy and they told us Oops, wrong prescription. And then they gave us this long story about how they already charged the insurance company for the wrong prescription, therefore cannot issue the right prescription because of their billing errors. huge mess. read more

Consistently horrible service at the pharmacy. Don't fill prescriptions and then never call you to tell you. Poor attitudes and general lack of communication. Photo dept is also poorly run. Ordered photos through snapfish, order didn't get filled, yadda yadda, sat on hold forever and finally gave up. Stay away! read more

I have been coming to this store since it opened. Maybe I am so familiar with it that I don't find fault. I like the store, have always had pleasant staff helping me and usually find what I cam in for. Now they are open until midnight which is great. I used to use the pharmacy years ago but stopped because of bit and miss service. It seemed like they always had different pharmacist and did not seem very organized. Having a doctor call or fax a prescription in usually did not go smoothly. Better to have one in hand. I did like the drive through. I have had pharmacy staff help me with over the counter stuff recently and they have been good. When passing by the pharmacy when they have a line the conversations that I may here reinforce the problems still exist. read more

Well I have to say that I was very impressed by the service I received last evening. I want to thank JL Taya and Harmandey Singh for their above and beyond help after purchasing a phone and card. Being a man I was trying to activate the new phone and thought I had followed the instructions to the letter (there were two of us together) but the darn thing kept sending me in circles. Neither of the two employees fore mentioned were aware of this service and offered to help me turn its service on. I had spent quite a few minutes and handed the phone over to JL who attempted and then saw my error and used his personal phone to turn mine on. Try and get that done at Safeway. I was at Safeway first to buy the same type of phone but NO ONE would help me. I would have given this a five but I never rate anything a five so four is my top rate and they certainly earned it.
