This pharmacy location should be shut down as 95 per cent of employees/ management have 0 knowledge of customer service; products they do/do not have on hand or when they will get them; just "whatever the truck brings--we never know"--often believable wait-- anywhere from 25 minutes to in one case 1 hour forty minutes for a tech or pharmacist to answer the phone so that I could determine if prescription was ready or if in stock (in most cases it is not) or any type of pharmaceutical question. 15 plus years going here and while there were always some glitches past 5 have been ludicrous. I have insurance with them but constant issues/attitudes of the never-ending parade of employees is unbelievable. The following issues occurred twice in past 3 years: In one case, a portion of my pain prescription was "left off" causing me to have to now count medication; was told machine counts them so that is impossible; last time it happened 20 strong pills missing and when called they told me I would have to wait till end of day for machine to count, yet 20 minutes later they called back and "found" the missing 20, placed them in a plain bag, no label, and had me pick them up with no explanation. When you use automated machine it will say you have no refills when your bottle says you have at which time they ask you to get in your car, drive up and show them. Then one must wait forever to get them filled. Drive through window to pick up new prescription to be told they have not had that in two to three months when in reality it was filled about two weeks prior. When pushed they usually find some in the back. Message service to let you know your prescription is ready is rarely activated or is incorrect; thus you have to keep calling. Constant array of new faces, both pharmacists and assistants, and while many people are behind counter no one seems to knows what they are doing. No teamwork or follow-up whatsoever. There are 2-3 people who have been there for some time and are very helpful yet one never knows if or when they will be there. Refills continually disappear from the computer screen--told last time by one of the better techs that they have new system and the new people do not know how to use it. All say they will call back if there is problem but no one ever does. Nehemiah and a pharmacist named Mara? were helpful but they are only ones who ever bothered to call back when I was out of important medication for over a week. When one does go in and wait patiently for order not ready, all customers in line are very upset. They just casually tell women with sick children; older persons; you name it, "Sorry we are out--insurance does not cover it", etc., leaving some people near tears as they are onto next patient, offering no alternatives to customers. One guy there for awhile thought that having refills meant to call the doctor each time I called it in, causing my doctor much consternation. When I finally decided to lose the insurance I had there to change to pharmacy across street because of sheer frustration, new store said oh dear, Walgreens? It will take hours--they never answer us when transferring. Called back 4 hours later and was told by new store it had not been answered yet and it can often take up to 24 hours to transfer from Walgreens. Called yesterday to see if prescription was moved over and they gave an incorrect time of transfer by almost a day. I asked politely for their name, and this pharmacist (M. Jones) was seemingly put off by the request. I asked as there are so many workers there; when I said I am sorry, I am not trying to be rude, just frustrated, Mr. Jones stated that I was very much being rude--and I am the customer! Long-term tech there I knew told me two years ago he was leaving because no one in business wanted to work there. They act like they are doing YOU a favor answering questions/filling your order. They need a Walgreen company rep to come in and overhaul system, instructing persons in customer service and efficiency and perhaps a massive firing/transfer of many employees where they are not dealing with people's health. I am very surprised that over past 5-6 years someone has not been given wrong medication, causing a medical crisis. Go in, watch for ten minutes, and see if you want group they have now filling ANY medication for you as it often looks like an episode of The Three Stooges--it would be humorous if it were not so frightening to think what they might be inadvertently prescribing. Have I been short-tempered at times (although I have always apologized and attempt to be pleasant afterwards)? Yes, usually out of pain, frustration, and time (sometimes up to and over an hour) spent waiting on phone, but then again I am the paying customer and they do work for me and the rest of the public. I am in the midst of finding out how to properly lodge a formal complaint against them although I feel badly for the few good people they do having working there. read more
