I recently moved to Chino Valley from Prescott. I used Walgreens in Prescott exclusively so I hoped to continue in ChinoValley. My first experience should have been my last but I thought I would give them another try. The second experience has been worse. A prescription was went to Walgreens Chino Valley on December 24. My daughterin law went to pick it up on December26 and was told it was there but had not been processed they would sent a text when ready.It is now December 29 and I just got a text that it is ready. Absolute trash store now. It used to be so good but EVERYBODY quit and I can see why. Ignorant, RUDE staff/management that can't literally run the cash register. They blame EVERYTHING on the prior managers/employees, the ones that actually kept the store clean and new what they were doing. Product just sitting in crates and nobody knows ANYTHING about ANYTHING. Sale item, no idea. Location of item, no idea. Return, no idea how. Forget the pharmacy as it's either closed or totally clueless, just go down the street to a REAL pharmacy, chino valley pharmacy. Very disappointed with the service I received from the Pharmacy. I initially went to pick up my prescription through the drive thru and was told the debit card machine was broken (not their fault I understand) Came back later with cash and went in the store. Waiting in line behind another customer that was being helped at the counter, the person at the pharmacy counter then says "we're closed, we can help you in 20 minutes". I then wait the 20 minutes and go back through the drive thru...and I am told the cost of my RX (which was high) I asked if it was ran on my insurance. This time I'm told that my insurance card doesn't work. (I just used it at this pharmacy 3 days ago without issue) She runs it again and says it went through and this time says the cost is higher than the first quote. I ask about the discrepancy and she says I don't know maybe go to Walmart and have it filled. I am just flabbergasted. read more

NEVER! We have never had a bad experience with any of the employees at this location! Never! As soon as you walk into this location you are greeted with a "Hello" and a smile and it is geniune! The girls at the pharmacy are super friendly, everytime my daughter and I go to pick up medicine for my parents they are very nice and helpful. My doctor sent a prescription over to this pharmacy in chino hills and the first day we went in, the young lady said it wasn't ready yet, she said come back later or tomorrow. We went back the next day and the tall dark male working at the pharmacy said we have to go lunch and started rolling down the window gates. Then he said to me, are you here to just pick up? We said yes, a prescription was sent two days ago and should be ready. He asked my name and looked in the computer then said, oh, the medication you want is over the counter . Then locked up his windows . We found the medication but it was much more expensive. My doctor sent that prescription for a reason , so my insurance would cover it but he did not want to fill it, I'll never go back to Walgreens in chino valley after being an avid customer for years. Very long wait lots of customers (12+) in line at pharmacy but only 1 person serving customers. We went in for COVID booster and we had an appointment but we waited 45 minutes. WOW! Worst pharmacy Ive ever been too. Cashiers up front are very nice. Manager is over worked but does a great job. The pharmacy staff must have come from some place where rudeness, impatience, yelling and being down right incompetent is acceptable. 5 times in the last 6 weeks they have been quit impertinent and would rather argue with you than fix the problem that is on their end. This is my second experience with Walgreens. It's amazing that a pharmacy will pick up the phone "please hold", and NEVER return to the phone call. I have been on hold for over 25 minutes. I ended up having to drive 30 minutes each way only to be turned away as they didn't fill the prescription. All which could have been handled by phone. Moving my prescriptions somewhere else. Called my doctor and was told it went through, problem is on Walgreens side. This used to be a worthwhile place for my one time prescription needs. This is a few months late, but a 40-something lady in the photo dept was extremely helpful & patient. Saved me $20. It was my first time with a old photo disc & I never would've known the difference. Very important pictures and she was huge help. The store always neat & clean, I dont shop there often, as they are pricey (a corporate decision, not their fault) sometimes good deals on makeup though. I have been in this store in Chino Valley on several recent occasions. In the past, I used to frequent this location. However, I have recently made a firm decision that I will never give this store my business again. This is due to the fact that I have been overcharged the last three times I have made purchases at the store. WATCH YOU RECEIPTS FOLKS! This store likes to put one price on the shelf and charge you a higher price at the register. The first time I noticed it, I assumed somebody just didn't make the changes in the system. The second time it occurred, I called the store manager to the counter and she became quite rude to me with no apologies forthcoming. The third time it occurred, I decided just to report the matter on yelp and let corporate know about it. Just think, if Walgreens on Highway 89 in Chino Valley, AZ charges just fifty cents more on each receipt for each customer that they ring up and they have five hundred purchases in a day, that brings their daily overcharge total to $250 and their weekly total to $1750 and their monthly overcharge total to $7000. Some people don't earn that in a year. Considering the rudeness of the staff at the Walgreens on Highway 89 in Chino Valley, AZ and the fact that they overcharged me the last three times I made purchases in the store, I would not hire any of their staff to take out the trash or patronize their store in the future. I could see if it happened one time as a mistake and even two times as a fluke but after the third overcharge, I can see that Walgreens is in the habit of doing this at that store, just to make an extra buck. Well, not mine Walgreens, not mine. I will never enter your store again. read more

There is something seriously wrong with the pharmacy. Every time I try to pick up a "ready" prescription, something goes wrong; e.g., pricing, wrong Px number, ready but not ready. I could go on and on. Use the mobile app and prepay for a prescription? Fine, but the cashier can't see your payment on their cash register system. Give them your phone so they can scan a QR code or tell them the numeric payment code...then the cashier looks at you like a deer in the headlights. Always problems. And did I mention a run-of-the-mill prescription can be delayed for days? Call them about it and suddenly it can immediately be filled. There also seems to be problems with them communicating with providers and insurance companies. read more

I have been on put on hold every time I call this place, and i am stuck on hold for at least 30 minutes if not longer. Over the course of the last year or so of using this Walgreens the quality of service has been rapidly declining. I waited for two weeks for them to fill a prescription for my baby, had to argue with them in order to get important and very much needed medication filled on time, and like I stated above I've been put on hold for over half an hour every time I've tried to get ahold of them. During two of those on hold wait times, I waited for 45 minutes only to have the phone hung up by them. Absolutely ridiculous. I also called them trying to refill an incredibly important medication, and I am still waiting for it to be filled two weeks later. Such garbage. read more

This has been the only pharmacy I've used for years and sadly my most recent visit will be my last. I noticed over the years that their service was becoming more and more slow. It even took them two days to fill a prescription for my daughter's vitamins on one occasion. Today took the cake. I waited in line at the drive thru for over a half hour. Now normally I would have just gone inside. However, today I was contagious and didn't want to get anyone else sick. When I got to the front of the line, the girl ran off without confirming my name and told me they didn't have my prescription. I showed her my discharge paper from Urgent Care that said where my prescription had been sent. She then realized that she was looking for the wrong last name. This wasn't even the worst part. After waiting a good 35 minutes to get to the window, she tells me my prescription isn't ready and asks me to go to the back of the line. At this point there were only two more cars behind me, but I was appalled that she would even ask. I blatantly refused. They get two stars for being open later and being a good shopping atmosphere. However, if you want your prescriptions filled in a timely manner, you're better off just heading to Prescott. read more

Some have referred to Chino Valley as a one horse town... It's obvious those people have never been there, as horses outnumber people... So, it should be no surprise that we have one standalone drug store here. Ironic, because if you want assistance somewhere more than about a foot and a half away from a register that is actually open, that is exactly what you will do: stand alone. It's not really a surprise to see a lack of service in a store like Walgreens... But, when the stars align in the west chasing the setting sun over a bent fence post and you get the help you need, it would be nice to get it from someone warmer than a Dementer on a chilly London morning. They have a good supply of stuff, and that's a start, but the reason for the three stars in this review is that they have acquired a couple more friendly people, giving you even odds that you will get a friendly person with a smile on checkout. The new people seem to not hate their job, and hopefully won't be quickly corrupted. This store is not worth skipping for an alternate elsewhere, so there you go... read more

When we first moved here we picked this as our pharmacy. Every time we to get meds went something went wrong. It took at least 30 minutes every time to pick up medication that was already supposed to be ready. Half the time it was not and we had to wait longer. We brought this up to management and 8 months later the same thing. We ended up changing pharmacies. read more

Everytime I have left from picking up a medication I always a get a friendly reminder "if you have any questions please call we're here to help". This is the SECOND time I have called with a question regarding my medication. However the second time was much worse. To have an IMMEDIATE SIGH from the PHARMACIST after I ask about a missed dose. She then began asking me multiple times why I missed my dose and talking over me as her voice got louder and louder! after I politely tried to avoid the question and continuing asking how to proceed with my dosing instructions, she yelled out to me my two options. Then continued to argue with me after I told her I was just looking for help and was not going to argue with a pharmacist as to why there was a missed dose. We're all human and sorry but SHIT happens. Very rude. Unfriendly pharmacist here. We waited over a half hour for prescription, finally got back in line...it had been ready but they forgot to let is know. No apology or anything.
