Sophia needs customer service training NOW If a patient is calling for their medications, clearly they need their medication. To be rude, snarky and disgusting in the morning because you all failed to order the correct quantity and follow up on any additional quantities that were needing to be ordered is not the fault of the patient. Your job is to order the drugs as needed Ensure that you have enough to fill your orders and update the system so that way your patient can receive them. That is not what is happening that is not acceptable. No one should have to wait 2+ weeks to receive medication. If there was an issue with the manufacturers distribution, some form of communication should've been relate to the patient or you all should've been working with. Your local network of stores to obtain the additional quantities needed to fill these orders. Especially for a restrictive drug. To be so disregarding of the patient's need for their medication and the length of time waiting for medication is just disgusting. If Sophia cannot provide the level of service that is expected from a Walgreens associate then maybe she should not be one. read more

PAINKILLER OTC This Walgreens is likely to exacerbate the headache you (probably) already have. My wife chose this drugstore as our primary pharmacy, mainly because it's convenient for us on Lily Cache in Bolingbrook (as a bonus, there's a Buona Beef directly across Weber Rd, so I usually dip in for a sandwich after picking up her prescription). I'd estimate one of us stops here every 3 weeks, so we're fairly frequent flyers. We recently encountered an issue where they processed my wife's prescription incorrectly. Instead of giving her 90 pills for 30 days (@3/day), they gave her 30 pills total believing it to be 1/day. I have to think there are instructions clearly printed on the label--because y'know, MEDICINE--so someone working here wasn't paying attention. After bouncing back and forth with phonecalls, one woman eventually apologized for the oversight of a coworker and vowed to fix it, which they did. Over the last few months my wife's made some friends over in pharmacy pickup, and they've been kind to her and helpful for the most part (excluding the one lady who bungled the 'scrip). I, on the other hand, am given a chilly reception any time I walk in. The associates at checkout barely engage in eye contact or return pleasant small talk, hardly ever doling out a 'thanks' or 'have a nice day'. On the last trip, the guy bagged my snacks and rang me up without saying a word. I might as well be a leper. * TL;DR * Pickup ya meds, grab a snack, and bounce. There's not much else here worth lingering for. It's a shame this Walgreens doesn't have a liquor aisle (wah wah), since a wall fridge with cold beer would've definitely bumped them up a star, at least. The customer service has been generally poor across 5-10 visits; messing up an important prescription for medication seals their lamentable fate. read more

One star for the pharmacy, 5 for the helpful redheaded manager, 1 for the front cashier. I submitted a refill request for migraine medication. Came to the store over an hour later (with a migraine, hence the refill), and was told 20 minutes, they just got it. (funny, one sent at the same time to my home store was ready 20 min earlier). I was in the area to meet my boss, so I stocked up on 5 hr energy for the caffeine, pain meds, and water (the manager helped me look for a Netflix gift card they no longer carry, super nice!) and the cashier was slow, unhelpful, and not nice. I met with my boss for more than 3 hours, came back to pick up my prescription, and told it still wasn't ready, it would be a few minutes. What. In. The. Merry. Freaking. Christmas. When I was here earlier, if expressly communicated that I had a migraine, I needed it as soon as possible, and she had (coldly) said 20 minutes. 20 minutes and 3 and a half hours are VERY different. I came to use the restroom (through a creepy, darkened door where it says restrooms are available upon request, but when I "requested" was told, "it's open" like I was supposed to know) so I could write this while my irritation was fresh. During the time it has taken to compose this whole standing by the water fountain, I received a text saying my Rx was ready. Apparently they were waiting to hit a "confirmed" button, but couldn't do so while I waited at the counter. I do my prescriptions online, and they are always ready when promised at this pharmacy. I am not sure why people continually complain about this pharmacy, but perhaps it's their approach to getting their prescriptions filled. Try something else, people. read more

I'M SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM THIS LOCATION TODAY!!!! I ordered thank you cards for the sympathy we received from a recent death in our family. I ordered a total of 65 cards via on line because I like the convenience of picking it up when it is ready but it turned out to be more of an INCONVENIENCE!!!!! On my way home, after I picked up the cards which I spend more than $100, I felt like counting it since it was not as heavy as I expected and sure enough I was missing 24 more cards. I had to go back to Walgreens and at that time I had to wait for a while for somebody in charge of photo to help me. Then the person who took care of me was the one who did the processing and he told me that the reason was probably when their machine got "jammed" and the rest were not printed. My question is, so if it was missing more than 20 cards, how come I was not notified. When I picked it up, the box showed 59 and I paid for 59 cards, the least they can do is make a note in the box that only certain numbers were printed. When I came to pick up my order, the machine was working so nobody even bothered to print the rest that was missing. If you are a responsible person, you make sure that the count is right before you put it in on file ready for customer pick up. I am a very reasonable person but I think this is not acceptable!!!! I did not even receive an apology for the inconvenience. I do not expect one, it's just that I planned my day thinking I can just go in and out to pick up my thank you cards then went to buy chicken for our lunch that my daughter is waiting at home. So my day turned out to be staying at Walgreens, re-counting the cards and checking which one was not printed since I ordered three kinds then went home with cold chicken and my daughter crying because she was hungry waiting for me. I live close by but i will not go back to this Walgreens location for photo. I spoke to the Manager thereafter and all she did was listen. SO SO DISAPPOINTED. I have always come across this issue with Walgreens for years and never had to complain about it but now. Walgreens always advertise paperless coupons but coupons don't work when you go to the store to use them when already clipped to the account. The stores crew including management all act like they have no idea of what goes on with paper coupons Walgreen provide on the website if you have an online account. The cashiers are the worst in trying to apply the coupons and when a manager is paged to come to get it done while customers are waiting, they take a long time in doing so, and at the end of it customers end up paying more than necessary. If only i can give this store a zero star i would! We dont usually fill Rx but every time we do this place is the worst pharmacy! I used to work in walgreens pharmacy, 24hr store, and we are busy! We can fill and get the Rx ready and if there's any problem with rx we call the patient and ask them if we can transfer. Last night this place called me for my toddlers flu meds and they said they don't them in stock so they said the other store has it (next day which they have All night and day to call me and to fill rx) now we are about to pick them up at the other store they said they dont have the rx in stock! I dont know what the hell they're doing seems like they are not doing their damn job! I am sorry i dont usually complain or even post anything but i think this is too much. My babies are sick and we even gave them time to fill a simple rx. These people dont care about people that needs their meds. They just work in the pharmacy just to have a job. They need to have compassion and feel for the sick patients thats important for them to get their meds ASAP they know how it feels when they're sick. I just hope this people will get their act together! I even told the person at the other store can she call the other store to transfer rx that has it in stock and she acted as if im giving her something to do. I dont trust her i might as well do it myself and we All have flu in my house even my self and i am taking care two sick toddler. read more
