I'm giving up on all Walgreens pharmacies from this day forward...I've had bad experiences at other locations, but this might just be the worst now. I made an appointment for a rapid covid test to be performed by pharmacy staff and it's now 45 minutes after checking in for my scheduled appointment that I've been sitting here without my name being called. I get that they're busy but that's just ridiculous... when you make an appointment, it shouldn't take an hour after that appointment before being assisted. I'm about to get up and leave now and will get a rapid covid test that I do at home myself instead. My patience is gone. read more

This is the worst Walgreens in town. If you go up to the counter and the person helping you his named Kelly turn around and run. She's a horrible person and frequently threatens to call the police on people. She threatened to call the police on the person in front of me and myself because we wanted to know why our prescriptions were not ready. The person in front of me had proof online that his was ready and I had called and talked to Kelly earlier and she told me mine was ready. Walgreens might want to consider firing her and hiring someone that knows how to apologize instead of threaten to call the police. read more

I mean, what's there to say about Walgreens?? We've all been to one, we all know how they are and how they are the dominant top when it comes to drug stores lol. There's a guy at this one, Tommy. Not sure tho if he still works there, but he's awesome! One of the managers there. SOOOOOOO nice! Other than that, I mean...Walgreens! You've been to one in your life, you've basically been to all of them because EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of them are the same LOL! Except for the one in downtown Boise. All Walgreens are basically "like omg! I'm a soccer mom who lives in a beautiful suburban house! I have 3 beautiful boys! Their names are, Hunter, Jackson, and Quinn! They're my babies!" And the downtown Walgreens (this is most downtown Walgreens) are like..."umm, I'm a hipster..I've only ever been to the updated, modern Walgreens...(says this as he tightens his man bun)..yeah, bruh, I go get a bit at Whole Foods and then slowly saunter(?) over to the Walgreens for a pack of juicy fruit, bruh. Then, I skate home. What of it?" Does that give you an idea how different downtown Walgreens are vs one that are literally on EVERY CORNER, IN EVERY CITY! hahahahaha! Regardless, Walgreens is homey. I love going in at night time. Reminds me of when I'd go shopping with my mama as a wee boy and before driving back out to the house...she'd say, with her NYC accent "I need to stop at Walgreens. I went to this Walgreens around midnight for some snackies, needing a pick-me-up since I was tired from a long week and sad from some personal drama in my life. I didn't get the cashier's name. She's a lovely Asian woman with a sweet voice and infectious personality. How someone can stay that cheerful serving cranky and sometimes odd clientele in the middle of the night is beyond me, but after a couple minutes of chatting while checking out, I left in a much better mood. Come to think of it, I've never had bad customer service at any of the Walgreens in Boise. But this lady is one of the best and deserves a compliment. Thank you for cheering me up. read more

I don't typically use this Walgreens as it is a bit out of the way for me. My doctor recently ordered me some travel medicines for an upcoming trip (malaria pills, etc) from here because, fun fact, they also do travel vaccines at this location. (Good thing to note if you're in a bind and can't get an appointment at a travel vaccine clinic!) I came through the drive-thru around 9pm(ish) to pick up three different medicines. I was able to put a medical flex debit card on my online Walgreens account so that when I picked up my prescriptions, I could speed up the payment process. SWEET. The gal at the window handed me my prescriptions and I asked, "My doctor told me how to take these, but all of the instructions were so different and that was a week ago. Do you mind refreshing me on how/when to take each of these?" To which I was given the reply, "You can just read the bag. The instructions are on there." Well, yeah. Obviously there are instructions on there. (I'm not a very sassy person, but geez. Cue the eye roll and uncomfortable laugh.) Maybe I'm being a little too needy here, but almost every memory I have of going to a pharmacist includes them talking you through how to correctly take your medicine when you pick it up. I was frustrated by this experience because I asked for clarification on something and received a reply that was less than helpful and less than friendly. A few conclusions to wrap this thing up: 1. I did indeed read the instructions and figure it out. 2. I made different arrangements for my travel vaccines. read more

My daughter went in late at night around 2:30 am.... She stood at the register for 10 minutes before someone came up to the register, there was no bell to ding and no employees in sight. Finally someone came up and rang up her purchases... No apologies for having to wait. Not the service we are used to at this location. read more

The older lady with brown hair at the cash register in the store is extremely rude. I went in to put money on my green dot card and she acted extremely bothered that I asked her to do her job. Very poor customer service. If you don't like your job and dealing with people you should prob find another job. Old and bitter. read more

Here I am again writing another review of a 24 hour pharmacy. The pharmacist on duty refused to fill my RX because there weren't lines between the date 6 20 17. After he lectured me about it, I gave him a work note I had received from Doctor on 6/20/2017 stating the medication I was prescribed. He threw the script and the letter back in the drive thru drawer and said, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else". I gave him a few choice words and left. Went to my usual amazingly friendly and knowing Walgreens downtown on break when the opened and I explained what happened. The pharmacist said "Let me get you his name and our area managers phone number, this is about the tenth complaint I've heard about this gentleman". They filled It with no issue. Needless to say I am going to report the snarky guy and just stick with Walgreens downtown. 24 hour pharmacies suck. Sorry you spend $60k on an education bro and now you make $14 an hour. Went to the Fairview store (not my normal store as I was in the area waiting on a different appointment). Boy did I get EXCELLENT customer service in the cosmetics and sundries area from BRI. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant! She knew what products to suggest, where they were in the store and helped me navigate my coupons and rewards. I can't help myself but leave a review. I have a dairy allergy and I have expressed that to Walgreens many times. I have talked to the pharmacist as well as all the staff at the Walgreens on Fairview And Milwaukee. Unfortunately, they didn't take that very seriously when I ordered my prescription that I take daily. After having horrible stomach issues I was diagnosed with IBS. Well, as it turns out it wasn't IBS at all it was because there was dairy in my prescription that I was taking on a daily basis!!! I had them put it in my profile I asked them to put it in all caps I asked them to put it at the very beginning of my profile that I am allergic to dairy and they failed!! Not only did it cost me lots of money but it also cost me a whole year of my life!!! I was also treated very poorly by the pharmacist she acted like I was bothering her! I couldn't believe it when I found out that my prescription contained dairy. Such an oversight and I don't think they even care! Better make sure when you get your prescriptions that they are correct because you're your own advocate!!! Unbelievable I wish I could give them zero stars! read more

I gave this store one star because I couldn't just give it a zero. This store is totally bullshit. My girlfriend could barely even stand because she is a type one diabetic whose blood sugar got way too high because her vial of insulin broke. She was on the verge of a serious medical side effect such as ketoacidosis. Now what they did is let random people cut in front of us and in the end were out of stock on insulin. Wtf? Have you hit your maximum quota of saved lives for the day too? Don't go to this Walgreens. It's not a pharmacy to say the least. read more

This Walgreens had the worst pharmacist I have ever encountered. I was recently discharged from the hospital and needed prescriptions to be filled. I called, since I cannot drive, because I noticed they didn't adjust cost for insurance. And when I called. I couldn't say a word. Steve was a real jerk and wouldn't listen to anything I said. I went into Walgreens to get cough medicine for my boyfriend, and had my younger sister and her friend with me. They refused to sell me mucinex dm because apparently it's their policy to check anyone's id when buying an over the counter cough medicine, including children. Worst service at their pharmacy last night 12/12, I was just discharged from surgery and my husband went to grab my prescriptions and he didn't have our insurance cards on him due to we haven't receive them just yet, the tech proceeded to say she could look anything up and so my husband asked if there was a discount card at least, she again just said NO, will thank god we found one and saved on my pain meds but she still wasn't ok having to start all over again, this tech needs to keep in mind you guys are open 24/7 and to tell customers that you aren't capable of looking up insurance is truly sad when you are able too, unfortunately I wasn't able to get all my medications cause I refuse to pay that much money when I have ins, I do feel horrible for the elder lady that wasn't able to find her card. Walgreens Pharmacy- :( 24 hour service...I think not! Poor customer service, rude. Walked in with my daughter at 8:30pm to get her a flu shot. With 3 pharmacy workers behind the counter One of the pharmacy ladies announces they are too busy filling Rx to give a shot, and they're closing in 1 hour (or, the pharmacist is going home for the night). I mentioned to Pharmacy crew that according to their own website they offer a walkup immunization clinic (if they had the staff, which they obviously did) and the pharmacy is opened 24hrs. I asked if we should come back in 30-45minutes and the lady stated in a very rude manner they couldn't guarantee they could get to us...Unsatisfactory answer and rude service. read more

I would give this no stars if I could. I tried them for two Rx's and they messed up both. The second one they did a mis fill and doubled my dosage. I would have gotten seriously sick. When I told them, they wouldn't give me my co-pay back and said they did everything right. How is that even possible to double my dosage and say you have a script for it? All right let's put it this way only go there when I need to go there And that's when I have to take my son to the ER because they're the only 24 hour pharmacy my son isn't feeling good it's Sunday his doctor is an available so I take him to the ER . Yeah I may be over worried but I rather get them is it a name that I know you need even though I already know what's going on so please pick up the paperwork from the hospital we drop it off at the pharmacy they said it take about 45 minutes same insurance same everything normally pick up my prescription at Fred Meyer's but when I have to I have to pick it up from this one so I weigh more than 45 minutes understandable there was a crowd of people it's light it's late night My sons upset so I'm staying in the truck with him so I said my other half in the pick up his medicine well I was in the store for a good minute and before I even walked away like even in the prescription they could've told me his insurance didn't cover it so then I coulda already called the ER doctor that was on call that night and tell him what he prescribe my son isn't covered underneath his insurance which he should've already knew it was covered and what wasn't but the pharmacist was being a jerk. Not the guy working at the register for the pharmacist and the pharmacist himself. So my other half comes out tells me he can't get his medicine please not covered under his insurance course I don't really understand what the fucks going on because it should've been covered so I tell him to sit with him and I'll go handle it and I go in I'm asking why can't my son have his medication and the pharmacist proceeds to tell me that he can't and he needs to talk to the doctor and I'm like well it was at the ER so either you can call him or I will call and he said well I'll get right on that. What is he do he turns away and goes and does something else other than calling the ER at St. Luke's defining out what we can do for my sons pink eye infection medication and he acts like I don't see him tells me to go sit down because he doesn't want me just standing at the register because it's going to take a minute yeah it's gonna take a minute because the fact that he didn't want to do that so I got on there and yes I will be calling corporate as well because he did not pick up the phone at all to call the er doctor . So I did can I transferred about for five times got a hold of the lady that actually helped us when we checked in at the ER and she got me over there and then she's like do you want me to just you know you want to hand him the phone or do you want me to call the number and I'm like yeah if you know what I'll just hand you my phone you know I'm on the phone with you it makes sense and then he wouldn't do that he wouldn't take my phone or I could've put it on speaker didn't want to hey said no she can call here as it OK what's the phone number he repeated the number twice to me and then she ends up call me back from the ER telling me that he gave her a fax number and then when I ask him again Give me the number he gave me the fax number again and I said well honey that's a fax number and you need to get your shit right because at this point I'm getting irate my sons upset he's sick and not feeling well I work 64 hours a week roughly yeah I'm tired too I can understand working nights but there was no reason for him to be the way he was and not help a customer specially being a two-year-old child that has pinkeye and I didn't want to bring him in because pinkeye is highly contagious. So after him purposely giving the wrong number multiple times I finally was able to get the medicine my son needed so I didn't get home until about 1130 roughly and we got there About 930 When they could easily page me when I told him I was gonna be in the store outfront in my truck and then I was gonna send mother happen to also check on the prescription so they could've told him when he asked how much longer for My sons medicine but no . Not going to yes I was in my pjs And yes I had an attitude with him and I called him out several times even when I was on the phone with the ER since he was supposed to call them on the phone and I will be calling corporate because He didn't have to act like an ass old and i wouldn't have turn into a bitch read more

If I could give this location a zero stars I would. I went in to get my contraceptive prescription transferred from another pharmacy, as I am back in town from college for the summer. They said they would have it ready that night, so I went back in and it wasn't ready. I waited and waited all week to get a call saying my prescription was ready and even called twice to check my prescription status and nothing had been ordered! Finally I tried to call to speak with someone and I was on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on...I tried to call back and was placed on hold again...and they still didn't have my prescription ready...I have never had such a bad experience at a Walgreens location!!! read more

I normally use the Walgreens by my home on Ustick and 5 mile, they are terrible. But I have used this location two times for prescriptions in last few months and they are awesome. Always very quick, very friendly and knowledgeable. I wish this location was closers to home and I would exclusively use them. read more
