Fast, good quality compounding pharmacy. I tried one a bit closer, but switched back to Portico.

Super great place. It's comfortable, the employees are helpful and the location is easy to access.

EVERY MONTH: I call to make sure they're filling the prescriptions that have been sent in (doing…read moretheir one job). "Yes, you do have my prescription, my provider sent it in two days ago" .. "Yes, I'd like to pick it up today" 2 hrs later and 20 minutes in line: "I'm sorry, but we don't have it. You'll have to come back in half an hour" MONTH AFTER MONTH. Worst pharmacy. I'd change and stop the insanity but they're the only ones who take GoodRx which is cheaper than using my commercial insurance. Another thing that makes so much sense... DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY IF YOU CAN HELP IT. Terrible systems -they can never "see" the prescription initially for whatever reason- followed by routine incompetence.

Loss of good employees in the pharmacy. I depend on people I know in order to be comfortable and I…read moreknow Im taken care of. That is not happening. I have to be extremely careful of how my anti seizure drugs are ordered. If I order them 5 days before im out that maybe too soon, or they have to order it in. Twice I have run out of meds and even went to the 24 hour place, and was told that my Rx had been moved to many times...?? I have not moved it since I got it in October. I could get no emergency supply. So, I was told to go to the hospital and have a doctor write me another Rx...really? I can pick up an early supply if I pay the $1,600, but Medicare and Idaho Medicaid wont pay for it. I am now considering Costco.

I am very thankful that I am not dependent on prescriptions. This was not always true. About twelve…read moreyears ago, I was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure, My doctor labeled me as a ticking time bomb. I was that that time, an extreme foodie, eating my way through Boise and ordering Camembert and Bleu cheeses from France. I knew I had to lose weight and exercise but it's hard to be consistent day and day. out. More than anything it's a mental game. Long story short, I changed my lifestyle and became a vegan, and started to exercise regularly and I am no longer dependent on prescriptions. The rest of the troops do need prescriptions for a variety of reasons and it's super critical to have a friendly and understanding pharmacy. Our first pharmacy was at the Rosauer's location when they were opened. We knew Stacy, Jon, the Steve. They were awesome but when Rosauer's left, we tried several locations including Walmart. What a disaster! Wrong meds sent, wrong meds given to us, long wait times, and overall just poor service. When my wife got a job offer to join Albertsons on Eagle and McMillan, it was completely practical to have all prescription needs filled by the Sav-On team inside the Albertsons. We have consistently been regulars ever since and even though my wife is no longer there at Albertsons. The team is currently being led by Ryan and he's doing a super job with the craziness that has happened over the last two years. His staff has always treated me with respect and courtesy. One particular gent always stops what he's doing, looks up, and greets me, "What's up Friday, Good to see you again". It looks like Cheers for prescriptions. The rest of the team has stayed consistent which means something these days. Most of the time, employees don't stay long and in the pharmacy world, there's always a need for more tachs and more managers. I can't say whether or not that's a good thing per se, but as long as my wife and kids need their meds to function on a daily basis, I am thankful to have Ryan and the team greet me and take care of my family.
