I was planning on doing myself. I don't wear a lot of makeup anyway, I can do it myself. Yadda yadda yadda. This is one of those decisions that in hindsight I would never question again. I wasn't really interested in futzing with fake eyelashes on my big day. We paid for a good photographer and even though I have good skin, every single imperfection and discoloration and anything will show up on the high quality photos and BOY AM I GLAD I sprung for getting my makeup done. I can tell as my photographer took pictures of me before and during my makeup application and I saw flaws and spots and pinkness in my skin (around my nose etc) that I never realized was there. All of that vanished under flawless makeup Sarah applied. Sarah took my suggestions for color and ran with them. She is meticulous and has the utmost attention to detail. She does not rush. She does not over do it. In the end my makeup was FLAWLESS and added beautiful shades of color to my face without looking like I was wearing too much. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. Her application of fake lashes will put any other makeup artist's to shame! I couldn't even tell where my lashes were and where the fake lashes were upon scrutinizing in the mirror up close. They would have stayed on for DAYS. So would the rest of the makeup. She uses MAC/high quality waterproof that will not come off in rain or with the inevitable tears, etc. On a side note, she is just the type of person you'll want on your big day. You really feel like she is focusing on every detail and she is not rushing or distracted. She really makes you feel like she is dedicated to doing her best work for you and 100% focused on you. She was early to our appointment. I could go on and on. Sarah has a working relationship with Honey Salon and can do makeup in their *beautiful* space. Very convenient as I did both my practice sessions and my big day hair and makeup in the same spot. She charges a fair price - you really get what you pay for with this one. The procedure included an upper blepharoplasty, platysmaplasty of my neck, and SMAS facelift. In addition, I underwent an CO2 laser treatment. Prior to these procedures. I had a meeting with another plastic surgeon in Del mar, California. His estimate was startling and well beyond what I could afford. I then went to see Dr. Lichtenberger and he explained to me that I didn't need to undergo unnecessary procedures to get what I was looking for. Instead, he felt that I could attain a natural look and that's exactly what he did for me at a reasonable cost. The office staff at Life Aesthetic Center, including Erin, Debbie and Dana, made me feel so much at home and so comfortable while undergoing the initial consultation, the preoperative appointment and finally the procedure and follow-up appointments, putting me at ease with lots of great information. Dr. Lichtenberger is one of the most sincere, patient and truly caring people I have ever met. He is an outstanding listener, and I never felt like I was asking a stupid question. Despite my nervousness prior to the procedures, he said that was normal and on the day of my procedures, he put me at ease the entire time. You also need a $100 consultation appointment that does NOT go towards the actual appointment which you will need to schedule for a different day. I have never heard of a consult fee not going towards the actual appointment and needing to come on a completely different day to get basic neurotoxin, which takes all of 10 minutes max. I have responded politely the first three times knowing that someone has transposed my phone number. Having worked in Health Care I grasp that their real patient very likely is not receiving appt reminders nor test results because their messaging system called " Klara" which is a combo of software and AI is glitching due to an input error. I have left texts, left voicemails and spoken to office personnel, one of whom told me the practice was having issues with messages going to folks other than their patients. This person attempted to tell me that one of their patients and myself shared the same phone number and that their patient was ignoring messages which is why I got messages despite not being a patient. I tried to tell them that in the US two different individuals don't have identical phone numbers while living in different states. I would be cautious about using this practice until they straighten out their medical records and messaging system.
