Nigiri
Pedro S.

I am baffled how someone allows a place like this to exist. It's a disgrace to the Korean and Japanese culture. I've truly never had anything worse. As soon as I saw the presentation I wanted to get up and leave but I decided to give it a try. The fish on the nigiri was freezer burned and turned to mush in one bite. The peppered tuna looked like dogs had chewed it before it got to the plate. The rice was not sticky so it did not hold its shape. The spicy tuna roll fell apart and was again freezer burned. The dining room was disgusting. After two bites I got up and asked for my money back. The staff looks like they just rolled out of bed and put pajamas on to come to work. When I asked for my money back the staff giggled. No one seems to have any pride in what they're doing here. Truly terrible. Awful. Disgusting. I don't have enough words to describe the pathetic excuse of an attempt this place is at modern Asian cuisine.

Worst sushi I have ever had in my life! Total waste of money. Don't waste your time or money here. For example: my roll came out more as a poke bowl than a roll. Each roll was cut different sizes and most weren't even fully cut, causing the rolls to completely come apart. I even tried using a fork to eat. I don't think there is a sushi chef working here because this is not a mistake they would make. I didn't even mention the dust rich light fixtures above each table. Or the sticky tables. Or the extremely dirty utensils. There are better sushi places in Waco. Go there!

We ordered to go and the food was pretty good. Wasn't as warm as i thought but it was pretty tasty. We all loved it with some kimchi.

The food is great. Seaweed salad and tuna tower are my fave. But this place has to do better or people won't come here! Kids are watching tv on their phones at volume 10 (this is their babysitter). In a booth a grandma and kid are stretched out sound asleep. They look homeless. The girl at the counter is screaming and cackling jokes to the kitchen. And the storage room is in the dining area!! Cmon management. Really????

Not impressed at all. First off the place was super dirty, kinda gross. Most tables were dirty the bench seats were crusted and stained, but couldn't see all that until after you order as you order when you walk in the door & they bring it out to you. We got 2 of the dragon rolls which is spicy tuna on top of a roll with cucumber tempura shrimp avocado. The roll itself was decent but the spicy tuna was terrible! It was room temperature, almost warm and the spice was like a chili powder you might use in Mexican food .... It left a horrible taste in your mouth and did not taste anything like I've ever had. And I love sushi, I've tried a lot of different types. If you are looking for sushi in the Waco area I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place

What a fun place to eat! Sushi with a Korean twist, some of the dishes I tried are delicious. I will definitely return each time I visit Baylor. Place is a self serve style, simple and that is why I liked it. Order, get a number and find a table, the employees bring your food. Very positive experience.

Big rolls for the price, but now I know why. Very low quality sushi. We tried 3 different rolls, and didn't like any of them.

Great sushi! Their prices seem high but overall everything is great. I cannot think of going anywhere else in Waco, TX.

The food more than makes up for it. As long as the place is clean (and it is), what does it matter? It's all about what's going into your belly. They serve a mixture of Korean and American comfort food. I had a dinner salad and an order of Mandu. The salad veg were perfectly fresh and crisp. The Mandu was fried to the right color and texture, the beef filling was savory. My boyfriend had the beef bulgogi with fried rice, a side salad, and chicken & potato soup. That beef bulgogi was bangin'!! The rice...woo-wee was it tasty. Service was genuine and they were especially good to our sweet little fur guy.

My brother & his wife both had beef bulgogi burgers & we had two sides of Oriental fries which were tempura fried fries and veggies & came with a sesame soy sauce & when added it was DELICIOUS! I'm visibly from AZ but my family love this place. I'm glad they shared it with me.

This franchise stands out above the rest in freshness and flavor. Everything tasted like it was made with real care, not just cranked out. The staff were so friendly and accommodating!! I ordered my go to choice, the Mix Grill Plate, and it blew me away. The meats were perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and served in generous portions. As for the macaroni salad? It's hands down the best I've had at any of their locations I've visited. It was creamy, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the hearty plate. If you're in Waco and even slightly considering it, just go. This location sets the bar high.

Unfortunately, while the food visually looked appetizing, everything ended up being pretty salty. The only thing that was tasty to me was the macaroni salad. I did like how big the portions are for the bowl option, which came with 1 scoop of rice and one scoop of either macaroni salad or veggies. It's too bad you can't swap out the rice for two scoops of macaroni or do a macaroni and veggie combo.

The man out front was friendly and we got to chatting about where he gets his ingredients; there aren't an Asian markets in the area so he has to drive a good distance to get stuff. I ended up getting the 'trash can' bowl with beef and maxed out on all the veggies. The portion was ok-a lot of rice a couple bits of protein with a squirt of the sriracha ranch which was 'totally mild' as advertised. If you think about the Magnolia siloes as an amusement park then I understand this place, you're paying a slight premium for something that's just ok because you're in an area designed to part you from your money while you're caught up in the atmopshere.
