Recently…read morethey have increased their hours so that if you are ill on the weekend your Family Doctor can order labs on Saturday AND SUNDAY !! Likewise if you need to have a lab order already in the system completed, you can go on the weekend when they are not very busy and crowded, thus lessening your exposure during the Pandemic . NOTE: Currently the Rex Hosp. Outpatient Lab closes at 1 P.M. Sat. and Sunday. M-F the Hospital site Outpatient Lab closes at 6 PM It's Cary Outpatient Lab closes at 5 M-F and is NOT open Sat -Sun. This is a really big deal . Before if you needed lab work on the weekend your Family Doc. had to send you to an Urgent Care with the related increase in expense . The majority of the lab staff are pleasant and good at what they do Rex has made some unfortunate decisions regarding throat and nasal cultures that may require a visit to Labcorp instead, but for the most part I highly rec Rex Outpatient labs . Further praise :Rex Hospital Labs do an an excellent job at turn around times on labwork and the results are often available much more quickly than from its competitors

I had an appoitment for 11 AM this morning for getting my fingerprints scanned only for a…read morebackground check for a new position at work. I arrived and checked in 15 minuets early. After waiting for 20 minutes, the tech called me up to check my ID, and only THEN informed me that the fingerprint machine is not working. It's BROKEN. They told me to call the company that made the appointment and let them know as they had no way to communicate with that company. That's a LOAD OF CRAP! When I called the company, they were shocked that they hadn't heard from LabCorp, since it's LabCorp's responsibility to report any issues with equipment. I ended up having to travel to another company's lab a few miles away to have my scan done. What a complete WASTE OF TIME! Don't bother with this location.

I visited this LabCorp location on Saturday October 26, planning to have a battery of doctor…read moreordered tests done. I expected a professional well kept office with facilities similar to those at the doctors I have been to. I arrived to a waiting room that seemed adequate, though most of the framed signs and announcements were hanging crookedly on the wall. I had an appointment which I was about 5 minutes late for. I waited about 25 minutes to be seen. When I went back to begin testing the examination room had a very odd shallow yet wide bar height seat for drawing blood, which seemed to serve no practical purpose other than the moveable arms. It was uncomfortable, causing my legs to hang a good 6 inches above the floor, with the shallow seat sloping down so I felt the seat wasn't enough to sit on and I was sliding off it. The clock on the wall was stuck at 5pm there. I sat for about 5 minutes before a nurse returned with a paper cup and told me she needed to collect a urine sample. The nurse half refused to tell me where the restroom was at when I asked, simply saying "that way" pointing down the hallway. It was down the hallway and around a corner, and once I was inside the bathroom I was quite sorry I'd bothered. The toilet was completely clogged up, from the looks of it probably overnight, the nurse claimed only 3 people had used it that day, which at 10:30am made sense. The sink was covered in scotch tape, which was wrapped around it many times to prevent anyone from using it. I returned to the examination room to question the nurse about all these thing and leave as this was not acceptable professional lab conditions and I felt unsafe staying. She claimed that the sink being taped up was for all the drug testing, and that made sense on one level. However it is not sanitary and without even hand sanitizer there for those who are forced to use the bathroom (it is the only womens one, with only a single mens room otherwise) this is particularly troubling. I left immediately after speaking to the nurse, asking for my paperwork back. Her excuses for most of the conditions were simply "this isn't the location I normally work at." Please avoid this facility if possible. It seems to simply be a cheap drug testing mill that is no longer keeping true lab conditions.

This company issues false diagnosis. bEWARE. Medical malpractice. The worst medical care I have…read moreever been too. This was the one on Oberlin. do not go to this place. The doctor and I use that term loosely, sees you for 7 minutes exactly. Within that time they submit a 20 page document with several false diagnosis and the form looks like it is copied for every patient. They ask you nothing about your history. They refer you out to many different doctors in their network for more $$$$ it is a scam.

I am so pleased with the care that Dr. Nasir provides at Avance Care on Strickland Rd. in Raleigh…read more She is very knowledgeable and professional, and perhaps just as important, listens carefully to what you have to say. For the past few weeks I had been having severe nausea lasting several hours at a time as well as occasional sharp pains in my upper chest when I went to see her. She knew my neurologist has been treating me for migraines and also that I'm taking a generic over-the-counter pill that includes 250 mg. of aspirin which, if I'm having two headaches in one day, is 1000 mg. Although she is ordering an ultrasound to make sure it's not my gallbladder causing my health issues, she feels that the amount of aspirin I am taking (until the once-a-month shot my neurologist has just prescribed for me takes effect), is causing my extreme nausea and pain. She has prescribed Prilosec and as she said what she thought is causing my problem it immediately made sense to me. And her young assistant and office staff are just as attentive and helpful as Dr. Nasir.

Horrible experience…read more My child (5) was never spoken to directly except to guilt him that someone else was waiting (which was a few minutes at most and we'd waited over 10 to get to blood draw). Staff left the room and I had to ask her to come back, the dragging it out made it worse. He was traumatized by the experience and I was outraged. Never even got the blood draw. Unprofessional and unhelpful. Staff was only one person, second person left shortly after we arrived. Pediatric draws need a second staff to assist. No effort to take charge and make it a positive, less scary experience. Totally not kid friendly. Staff didn't seem invested at all in helping make it work. They have no business drawing blood for children. Would never go back.

I drove 34 miles to get there and made it just fine. Ridiculous and unnecessary. Obviously customers are not a priority.
