The lobster bisque had a very fishy, burnt taste to it. Would not recommend. The side salad was excellent with very fresh, crisp cut vegetables on it. Very refreshing and great mix of flavors. For dinner I had the vegetable pizza. Lots of vegetables, however, it needed to be cooked another 5-10 minutes. The crust was very mushy. The Reuben sandwich was good. The corned beef was tender and had a good flavor. Would give it 3 out 5. They were setting up for a live band. Lots of commotion, however, we did not stay for their set. All in all would give it a 3 out of five. Would like to try it again as it had 4.9 stars. Maybe just an off night? read more

Wakeman Elevator is a hidden gem in the small town of Wakeman. We decided to try it out for a date night after hearing so much about it. It's a cute little place that serves beer, wine and food. They have a kitchen and a food truck. You still order food from the food truck at the counter. The service was friendly and the place is decorated so cute for the holidays. We had a great time and think it would be fun to get a group of friends to go back there sometime. read more

10/10 would recommend stopping by! Not only is the atmosphere welcoming, but the owners were kind and generous. Food and drinks were also great and were priced very responsibly. They even had live music! We found this place while riding along the North Coast bike trial and couldn't have been luckier. They opened up their property to us to camp for the evening and made sure we even had a safe, dry, warm place to take cover if the weather took a turn. Recommend to me by a friend for Bloody Mary's on Sunday the bloody Mary's are from a mix but still tasty and the toppings are delicious it's hard to find a good Bloody Mary with all the fixings and this place delivers that. Flat bread pizza was very good. My favourite so far is the bacon chicken ranch, meat lovers was also quite delicious. The deco is eclectic and interesting to look around and see all the things they have in this place. Service was courteous and informative. Might very well be my new favourite Sunday brunch spot definitely check this place out wine and craft beer selection also picked up a locally made hard apple pie cider by Redhead cider house. I stumbled upon this quirky establishment with some friends after some fall festivities. It feels like a visit to grandma's house during the holidays and the staff make you feel like family. They shared the history of the establishment and their passion for what they have created. The food was good and the prices overall were very reasonable. Plenty of Ohio wines to choose from as well as cocktails and a handful of craft beers. There were a few hiccups with part our order coming out in a timely fashion after ordering at the bar but they were quick to acknowledge the error and correct it at no cost to us. I ordered the mixed greens salad and 1/2 loaf of bread with oil and it was enough to feed 2 people!!! Massive Massive Salad!!! Stop by. What a cool place in the middle of nowhere! My boyfriend and I made a stop here on a Saturday night to specifically check this place out. It reminds me of a mix between a craft store and a barn decorated for Christmas time. There are antique signs and memorabilia all over. There was live entertainment (the guy they had was really good). They serve food until 8:30 which unfortunately we missed out on as we arrived after 9pm. They have a good selection of 5-6 craft draft beers and enough liquor to make moscow mules and a few select martinis. They have a large selection of wines with about 10 from Ohio wineries. They give a heavy pour at $5 a glass (love it)! You can also buy bottles which start as cheap as $15! This is a great date spot or to hang out with a group of friends and share a bottle of wine! read more

Pretty nifty little place! We visited before they had their official grand opening, but it was great nonetheless...and packed! With live music (that was really good), a giant room adjacent to the bar area, there was plenty of space for all the people. It was our first visit and won't be our last. We had a great time and the owners both came over to welcome us and chat. It made us feel very welcome. We had a few drinks and ordered a cheese plate, shrimp cocktail and two pizzas. Food was very good. Can't wait to check it out in the summer...looks like they have a pretty nice porch set up! read more

We came here to have dinner with some friends visiting from out of state. We live almost an hour away, so it's not a place that we would come to often. Very cool atmosphere and the owner was very friendly. But.......either they are short-staffed, or they are incompetent. The drinks came fairly quickly, but my salad took about half an hour for me to get, and they completely forgot about my boyfriend's perch dinner. He had to go up and remind them about it, and even then it took forever to get. The prices seemed a little high, but that could be because my grilled chicken salad was enough to feed four people, and there was probably a pound of perch in my boyfriend's meal. How about serving realistic portions for one person, and charging realistic prices for it??? Then, when we of course had to ask for to-go boxes, I knew right away that we would never see those boxes. Again, my boyfriend had to go hunt them down after we waited for way too long. There was live music, and they were not bad, but loud enough to make it hard to carry on a conversation. In short, the food seemed OK, the atmosphere was quaint, but the service was horrible. I wouldn't come back here again unless it was for drinks and appetizers, and even then, I'd make sure that I wasn't hungry! read more
