I'm out here in Brunswick on training. I'm from San Diego, so it's rough out here for a Californian to say the least. Wake up coffee is a diamond in the rough. Let me tell you, pulling up you think "ya we're in Brunswick". Then you walk into this place, gorgeous aged wood paneling, a nice display of merch, and the nicest most inviting service I could've asked for. Being home sick as I am Wake up coffee definitely made me feel like I belonged. Which says a lot being that we're in Brunswick! I have fallen in love with this little coffee shop & am going to be so sad once I leave the area. For starters, the overall atmosphere is so calming and enjoyable. I love the set up. There are plenty of places to have a seat, enjoy company, or study. As well as a beautiful outdoor area. The service is awesome, every time I have been I have been greeted with a smile and friendly hello. Every time I go I try a different coffee, and let me tell you I have not been disappointed. Their seasonal flavors are to die for. It's something a little different without the overwhelming sweetness or artificial flavors. Now for my absolute favorite part of Wake up coffee co. Very good coffee. Was talking with one of the baristas and he told me all about how they make most of their own syrups and sauces. I could definitely tell because they were very good. Also a bunch of great sitting rooms to either work or read in. Highly recommend. read more

I got a chocolate chip waffle, a caramel hot latte and a blueberry muffin for $12. The girls were so friendly and fast. My waffle was so fluffy and delicious. I'm just visiting from out of state, but I would definitely recommend this coffee shop. read more

I didn't want to go here but we got a flat tire and ended up in this town. I ended up buying four new tires and spent more time in this town than I would have liked. Luckily after we were finished I looked for coffee around us, and this place was not too far away. I was thankful that this local gem was around. The place inside is gorgeous. I think I'd gladly sit in there for awhile just to take it in. I loved that the place looked super hip but right up front were three older people talking about life. Reminded me of the super small town that I'm from. And they were regulars. Cashier knew them all by name. Coffee is fair trade. They have a lot of flavors for lattes and it seems like they make some in house and some not in house. Why don't you just make them all in house? I got the vanilla latte. It was good but sweet. Husband ordered a cortado and he just said meh. He's a little bit pickier than me when it comes to taste. The guy taking our order was very nice. He tried to interact with us more but operating on no coffee and frustrations of our trip being delayed I was not the happiest person so I kept my answers short. He was very kind though. This made the stop in the town a little nicer. read more

4.5 stars seems right to me. Super cute local fair trade coffee shop. I tried several latte options (chai latte, turtle mocha, island mocha) and the island mocha is by far the best. The others were good, but the island mocha is AWESOME. Coconut really works in coffee! They also offer a variety of homemade baked goods. I've had the bacon cheddar scone, the raspberry white chocolate scone, and the banana nut muffin, and all were great. Probably I'd opt for the raspberry scone if you could only have one. If you're in a rush, you can call ahead and they'll make up your drink in advance so you can grab and go. They also have free WiFi and lots of seating, so it seems like a good place to work if that's your jam. read more

My favorite place for a coffee when we visit the Jekyll Island and Brunswick area. Good coffee is an important start to the day and Wake Up Coffee always delivers. Coffee is really good, pastries are delicious and the staff are always friendly and engaging. Nice to walk in the door and immediately be met with warm "Hello" or "Good morning". I've studied here several times (the free wifi is great), and I loved the experience each time. Their music selection is great to work to and the coffee shop was originally a small house so it definitely has a cozy and cute ambiance. I recently discovered their adorable outdoor seating which was originally the garage of the house and they leave the glass garage door open to let in the Brunswick sun and breeze. Their coffee is delicious - my favorite so far is the raspberry honey latte. Their muffins are always on point and their macaroons are a must try. A lady that was sitting next to me had an order of Belgian waffles with fruits and whipped cream on it...I definitely need to order that soon! read more

I expected to not like this place -- how can a coffee place in the middle of nowhere Georgia (Sorry Brunswick..you've always been a bathroom pitstop for me between Savannah and St Augustine) be so up to the standards I set for craft coffee places? Delicious coffees in a charming bungalow. The two women running the cafe were helpful and kind, but the best part was when they greeted the person who came in after us by name and had his coffee waiting. My daughter had a strawberry and blueberry smoothie made with real fruit and I tried a half-sweetness honey/raspberry/vanilla latte as suggested on their menu board. This is the best Coffee shop in St. Simons and Brunswick. St Simons doesn't serve waffles... yet. But their coffee is on point. Small and cozy. Brunswick is a tad bigger and some sitting area to hang out and chat with friends, study/work and a nice little getaway to open up a book and just have me time. The waffles are delicious. They have several options, but the strawberries were nice and sweet, didn't really need too much if the syrup.
