I have eaten at hundreds of Asian restaurants in my life. This was absolutely the worst- bar none…read more Here is the recipe: steam vegetables for a few minutes until they are not steamed at all. Drop them in a can of coconut milk. Pair it with the cheapest quality of rice on the market (Uncle Ben?). Call it Panang curry. I had to throw it away, and for me to throw away food it must be absolutely stomach-turning. The young lady at the register had a slight accent, and in order to do pleasant small talk I asked her where she was from, having an accent myself. I thought we may be from the same country. She said she could not reveal private information. That was absolutely weird, also considering that customers receipts, including their signatures and how much they tipped, are pasted by the register. An absolute and far more serious violation of customers' privacy. But, if we stick to the food only, it's an absolutely must avoid. Minus 10 stars. That bad and worse.

The food came out piping hot and fresh. Both dishes were tasty and reasonably nice portions. The Pad See Ew did not have a lot of pork, however it was fresh and good flavor. I ordered medium spicy and it came out perfect. The Basil ground pork dish had a lot of green beans and not much of the basil flavor I expected but it was fresh and flavorful. I would probably hold the green beans next time but that's my preference. Overall, everything was very good and hit the spot. I would like to try some other dishes next visit. I would give it a strong 4.2 if I could rate in between 4 and 5. Also note our service was excellent and the server made numerous visits to check on us. Thanks

I love Eat Tea! If you are looking for bubble tea, you have found your new favorite place…read more It is located in the shopping center off Hodgson Memorial with TJ Maxx. Eat Tea is on the side with Jersey Mike's. There is a small amount of parking on that side. The service is excellent! You can order on one of the iPads if you are in a hurry or in general. But the staff are happy to take your order as well. The menu is vast. There are many types of teas, bubbles, add ins, foams and more. I tend to try a new tea when I go in. You never know what you like until you try something new! I love the fresh fruit teas. Yes, they do use actual fresh fruit. I'm not a fan of very sweet teas. Generally I will get mine half sweet or unsweetened. It depends on the tea. Just ask the staff about the level of sweetness if you want to know. They also have fresh mochi and crepe cakes. I have not tried the mochi. But the crepe cakes I have tried were delicious. There are a few tables inside the restaurant. It is not meant to seat a lot of people. But it definitely can fit a few comfortably. There is a bathroom in the back down the hall. I continue to go back to Eat Tea. They have great teas in a convenient location!

Polar Sweets in Hinesville, GA is a local poke bowl, rolled ice cream, and boba spot…read more I was in town and decided to stop by to try their boba. As a Korean-American, I have high standards for boba, but I'm very open minded to trying different boba spots! Unfortunately, the bubble tea at polar sweets was not good..... at all. To be honest, it was probably the worst boba I have had in a long time. I know that's harsh, but it's my truth. This is such a great location and I think this spot has the potential to make great boba!! But unless changes are made... it was the worst I have had. I ordered a rose milk tea with half the sweetness level (50% added sweetener), and boba. My husband got the classic milk tea... There are a few red flags for me. 1, Everything is powder based, even their "green tea" is not freshly brewed tea and is simply powder. I think if they invested in brewing fresh black tea or green tea, it would significantly get better. 2. The rose tea... I asked for half sweetness and I heard the associate say amongst each other that they put the regular level of sweetness in it. Instead of making me a new one, they just added a ton of more milk. My drink tasted like straight up milk with a hint of rose? I can understand if adjusting the sweetness level isn't a familiar concept, so I can see if this was like a "first time" situation. However, the solution should have been to make me a new drink OR put more of the rose powder to make the drink into a portion of two, where both drinks will be 50% sweetness. 3. The boba was also very stale. I used to work at a boba spot, so I can 110% understand the challenge it is to maintain a constantly chewy yet soft boba. But it was super stale, which made it stick in between teeth and just isn't the same texture of tapioca. Overall, I had a very disappointing experience here, but I give them a 2 star because the worker I did talk to was super cool. There were a lot of workers there, and there is a variety of options that I didn't have the opportunity to try. Those might be amazing! The shop has lots of potential and I can tell it was built and designed with customers in mind. It seems like a place families can go and make cute little memories. I have a big heart for local shops and entrepreneurs, but this one just like.... It just needs to change their approach to boba if that's one of their main selling points.
