I took my 20+year old microwave which was failing. They repaired it for $115 in one day. Works like new.

I generally only do reviews that deserve 5 stars, Not this time…read more This review is directed at the "Manager" in the back room, who couldn't bother herself with talking to me directly about a repair that ended up taking 16 days because of a problem on their end. Also, no apology. I needed a new battery for my Moto G Stylus, which is a couple of years old. They needed to order the replacement and said it would take 3-4 days. It's a 2-year-old Motorola, so that seemed reasonable. The person at the counter said they'd keep me posted, and the receipt said they would call me in 2 days. After a week, I called to check on the status and was told their records showed it was "out for delivery", but they couldn't give me a date. Several days later, the tech called my wife to inform her he broke the screen when replacing the battery. He apologized and took full responsibility. That was appreciated. Again we were told it would be 3-4 days. I would expect that since it was their fault, they would have paid for expedited delivery this time. There was no word while I waited for the repair. After a week from talking to the tech, I called (Friday) and was informed the screen was expected by 4 pm the next day, which would be on Saturday. They'd let me know if it came in early, but the worst-case scenario was that it would be Monday before I could pick it up. I finally received a call that it was ready 16 days after dropping it off. When I went to pick it up, the counter person was indifferent and charged me the full price of the battery and service. (They did not charge me for the broken screen since it was their fault.) I asked them to consider a discount due to the inconvenience of the extra 9 days without my phone. He said he'd check with his manager in the back. He said his manager said policy didn't permit discounts on shipping delays because it was out of their control, but the best they could do was to knock $10 off the total. I responded that any alleged shipping delay was directly attributable to them breaking the screen which was their fault. He held his ground. A paltry $10 was a missed opportunity to keep my business. The least the manager could have done was get off her ass and talk to me directly and offer a sincere apology for my inconvenience. They probably don't care, but I'll take my business elsewhere in the future and tell anyone I know to do the same.

Wow! Terrific customer service and our iPhone was ready when promised - great experience!…read more We stopped in at 10 am, dropped off our iPhone for a battery replacement and for new gorilla glass install. We were told it would be about 2 hours. We ran some errands, came back by and Serena (who is wonderful!) said it would be about another 15 minutes. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, we received the text on our other phone that our repair was done. Very professional, very clean store and they are abiding by all Covid rules. Recommend this location highly - great location but if you are a WF resident, you know this parking lot can be a real pain. Very small parking spaces and not a lot of room to navigate - I'd recommend parking by Vitamin Shoppe and walking over, just easier to get in and out of lot from that side. $119 for iPhone 7 Plus battery and brand new glass

Great selection of Laserdiscs and CEDs. Checking out was a long process, everything was done by hand and had to be double with an owner over text message. Then the final total was added up wrong. Almost got charged $49 for $31 of stuff. But again, the selection of movies was surprisingly good.

I went here one time a few months ago and I bought David Bowie's original Station to Station…read morerecord. It was twenty dollars, lovely, and worth it. There was an old man who I figured was the owner and there was another old man who I figured was the owner's friend. As I was looking around, I was picking up records and examining them and putting them back and the owner kept yelling at me to put them back not upside down. The second time I went here was to see if the old man would buy some old records from me. I brought about twenty, all in decent condition, but some of the groups were so obscure that I'd never even heard of them. I entered the shop with my backpack full of records and a big smile on my face. I was hoping he'd find some rare, one of the only fifty made, special edition kind of record in the collection I brought and that I'd be going home with big bucks. So I handed over the records to the old man, and as he was sorting through them, I was roaming the shop. It was a beautiful little room, there were so many album covers on display, King Crimson especially caught my eye, there was so much media and so many choices, but of course I was only getting these positive impressions because I had a good feeling that the value of those old records I had given him would be very good. After probably ten minutes of exploring the area and waiting for the old man, he finally cleared his throat and said, "I'll give you three bucks." I stared at him blankly for a moment waiting for him to say something like, "No I'm just kidding, this Neil Diamond record you've brought is truly one of a kind," or "Wow I've never seen a Jackson Browne that's as fine as this," or even just a, "I'll give you $50 for the all of it," would have done. I sputtered out a, "Th-three?" And once I realized that he was serious, I could only gawk at him. With the sudden disappointment, I realized how cramped and cluttered the shop actually was and how the floor creaked as you walked around and that the air smelled of cardboard and urine. I will probably be returning here again to get that King Crimson and some other stuff, but I will always remember the disappointment that I suffered here. And the place will always seem cramped and cluttered and the floors will always creak as I walk around and that the air will always smell like cardboard and urine to me.

And so I find myself flailing the day before an event without a) a giant cardboard cow cut-out -- or in this case b) a video projector. Panicked, I started pulling up Google searches to see where I could rent one same-day but most of the places I found were parts of larger organizations that weren't locally based and didn't offer same-day delivery. Enter Custom Light & Sound. I phoned them up and spoke with Matt -- sounded youngish, and maybe a little green. Asked me all the right questions though -- how big and how dark is the space, how many people are attending. After he took down my info and told me to pick it up before noon, I had to finally ask him how much it was and what the product was. Turns out, he'd picked something out for me based on my needs that wasn't featured on their website. So, whereas I'd thought the costs for their projectors ranged from $100-200, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my not-on-the-website projector was only $85! I went to pick it up and met Lee at the register. The first words out of his mouth were "21" which is an odd thing to say to someone you've just met. I looked inquisitively at my husband and then back at him. And he expounded: "We only rent to 21 and up." Good Lord, I'm pushing 30. But whatever. Turns out he's best friends with my husband's former college roommate -- so it's okay that he bruised my ego. They called Wayne to come out and check on the equipment before handing it off to me. He was a bit gruff, but did look through everything and assure us it had all the required cables, etc. The credit card machine wasn't working at pick-up so Lee gave us the okay to take it with the promise that we'll pay when we return it. Equipment ran great and interactions with the folks here was overall a positive experience. And don't be fooled by the cramped-looking exterior. Once you enter this little treasure trove, you'll discover it runs deep and is packed to the gills with audio and lighting goodies, plus fun accessories like disco balls and fog machines!
