The best sushi in Baton Rouge!! Karadynamite, Hayden roll and spicy tuna rolls are all great value and tasty! Also recommend the fried rice and wasabi shrimp!

We came here for dinner Thursday evening. Quite a few doing take out and some in the dining area. Food service was a bit slow because of that but understandable being a small place. The menu does have options providing cooked fish, to raw sushi, a vegetarian sushi selection, and dessert sushi. I actually really enjoyed the cara sushi, which was vegetarian because it lent a refreshing taste. My second favorite that we ordered was the osaka roll which has eel sauce. It's a typical sushi place that's tucked away in the corner with a simple dining space and 10 tables.

    Food was good tho.....

Y'all be careful with that manger / cook ...Omg ..where do I start ? , we got here 7:45pm on a Saturday to eat , they close at 8:30 , we ordered some sushi it was good like always but the staff ! , omg I wanted to ordered something to go but the waiter was taking his time never gave a refill or asked if we were good or nothing .... Then when he came to get our to go order it was 8:20 , when he brought the order to the back , the owner / manger / cook , came out YELLING AND CUSSING THE WAITRESS OFF , and then looked as us crazy and told us he's not cooking anything anymore he's done for tonight and how crazy the waiter is and dumb .... Omg I was a little scared ......

The vibes very cute and modern and there's a very wide variety of sushi and it's all amazing, we also had the crab salad and it was amazing. Our server was so sweet it's a great place! There's no yumyum sauce though that was the only thing.

The food was amazing!! I got the shashmi sampler and it was all so fresh and buttery. It is very quaint and cute inside perfect spot for an intimate dinner or with friends. Service was great were immediately greeted and made sure we were take care of and our questions were answered.

While visiting my in-laws during Mardi Gras week, I was on the hunt for stuffed jalapeños. My spouse was craving a daiquiri, so we stumbled upon this fantastic establishment next door. Let me tell you, it was hands down the best stuffed jalapeños I've ever had. And I'm not exaggerating when I say the best. I'm from Texas, where I indulge in them once or twice a week, so my standards are high. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, just to stop by here again. The waiter was exceptionally kind, and despite having only one other table occupied, the place was impeccably clean. No picture of my food, but it was stuffed with an overload of crab

Food: In general the food was amazing, salmon was fresh, tempura wasn't too oily, and the Hayden Roll was amazing. There was also a grilled Salmon Roll, but we weren't able to get pictures. The grilled Salmon Roll is a great alternative if you don't like raw Salmon. Will definitely have to give this place another try for the Spicy Bomb Roll and some other rolls. Service: Our server was really attentive, as well as being courteous and professional. We couldn't really tell it was her first day. Some questions weren't answered clearly but the chef was able to fill in the blanks thay she couldn't. Besides brushing up on the menu items a bit, everything else was amazing by her. Surroundings: The restaurant itself was pretty small. Its a nice little spot that was really clean. I think the biggest table was around 6 people, but if going with a party bigger than that, would definitely recommend calling beforehand. It is really great for a date night as its not too loud and crowded. We got there around 6:00 pm and it seemed to be parties of no greater than 3-4 people.

We swung by for lunch on a Saturday. We did not know that it was to go orders only at the time. However, waka was gracious and courteous to allow us to do an order inside while we waited for it. Now on to the food, this was my first time to this establishment. I have had my eye on trying this restaurant some time. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We got gyoza, Kara aged chicken, and three rolls. The aesthetics of the food pack although to go was appealing as if plated to dine in. Gyoza was good, the Kara aged chicken was plentiful, thick coated batter with nice crisp. And the three rolls were excellent, the fish was fresh. Since I ordered rolls that had spicy tuna, you could taste the heat. T Overall, this place will be a repeat for me to come back.

I came here the other night to pick up to go sushi. I use to be a regular but constantly got disappointed at one point so I stopped coming. I ordered 2 Hayden. Shrimp tempura and a seared tuna roll to go and I was obsessed. They honestly need different to go boxes because it gets sloppy. But quality was great. So my friend and I came. The hostess/ service was very upfront on the kitchen being backed up and the wait being long. We asked for a few wine sample before committing and she was absolutely for it. We ended up getting a few glasses of Chardonnay. We highly recommend to not try the plum wine. We got the dumplings as an app. 3 sushi rolls to share and I got 2 to go. They've really stepped it up last time I went and I'll 100% make this my favorite place close to home

    Kale Age Chicken

Small place, minimalistic inside, seemed very clean. Food was excellent and probably will be my go to sushi place. Service was very good.

My not-so-basic shrimp tempura. I've never had one so pretty!!! Loved it!!

I was meeting up with a friend for dinner and we both wanted sushi. She lives near this area so I came on Yelp to research. Found this spot and based on previous reviews, decided to give them a try. Figured I'd be adventurous with my sushi choices. Love the wall color snd ambiance! Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was sooo good!! I didn't get as adventurous as I hoped (not at all actually) but regardless of my choices, the presentation made me feel like I did LOL!! I got scared of trying new things but my "basic" choices still looked so pretty! Loved everything!!! I will definitely be back!

The inside was clean, spacious, and wasn't busy, which was nice bec we weren't fighting swarms of people like at a typical buffet. I tried a little sample of just about everything. I loved how the food was hot and I'd say the chicken dishes were my favorite. I was pleased with the price, it was a little over $30 for 2 adults, which I felt was good for an AYCE buffet on the weekend. Overall, I'd recommend Hunan if you're in the mood for a fair priced delicious AYCE Chinese buffet!

** UPDATE ** 3/13/26 Guess management read my prior review…read more Came again for lunch today and they had a young man making the sushi fresh. Although limited selection, 2 offered rolls incorporated tempura shrimp, and since I only eat cooked sushi - I was thrilled. Hunan still has great fried wonton, dumplings and the BEST spicy pork dish on any buffet in town. Today I also tried their steam fish entree which was offered in a very light (soy/mirrin?) sauce - sooo tasty, and I don't even like fish much but keep trying to incorporate into my meals for light protein. When I asked the workers there what type of fish it was because it did not taste fishy at all, he said catfish which I was frankly shocked. I usually don't like fish because it's so FISHY tasting, but the way that they steamed it in there light Asian sauce really made it flaky and delicious without a strong fishy taste. Although this buffet is by far one of the smallest in the Sherwood / Broadmoor areas, if you haven't tried it yet I definitely recommend you do so. Especially if you can come going to buffet is fresh when they open at 11:00 a.m.

We were out running errands and the pang of hunger reminded us that we had not eaten breakfast…read more Following a brief stop at the Asian Mart, we proceeded to Teriyaki Tiger, which was conveniently located nearby. The estimated wait time for our call-in order was 18 minutes. My husband arrived 5 minutes after placing the order and found that it was ready for pickup, enabling a quick in-and-out experience. This establishment proudly proclaimed on its website, 'Extraordinary specialty, authentic taste carefully selects the freshest ingredients and serving traditional Japanese culinary skills to satisfy your taste buds.' After driving by it numerous times, we decided to indulge in one traditional, authentic Japanese item from their menu, eager to experience the epitome of culinary excellence. Marvin Gaye sang 'What's Going On?' So, let me describe what's going on at Teriyard Tiger, located at 11228 Florida Blvd... absolutely nothing. Because when it comes to authentic Japanese dumplings, they are not being served here. The perfectly crispy looking machine-made dumplings looked crispy, but tasted like eating a flavorless frisbee. As someone who shelled out $12.13 for two orders of dumplings, I expected to get the real deal, not some pre-made, pre-frozen impostors. The filling was basically just cabbage with some mystery meat that might've been pork, but I'm not convinced. And don't even get me started on the soy sauce - it was like they tried to recreate Japanese flavors, but ended up with something that tasted like it belonged in a bad 80s movie. Here's a tip: just use Kikkoman like a normal person. Several reviewers are praising this establishment, but my initial experience with their dumplings was underwhelming. The cost of dining out has skyrocketed across the USAs and menu prices keep climbing. Wasting my coin on mediocre food is not an option so as the adage goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately, they failed to impress by serving frozen food, which raises concerns about the freshness and quality of their offerings. This experience has led me to question the authenticity of their claims. Consequently, sticking to my one time resolution I will not be giving them a second chance unless someone else is treating.

The Ramen was the best part of the meal, one of the biggest Rams have I've had and for the price it was already worth it. Great presentation with a load of toppings. The quality of the toppings were great, but again, just like my first sentence, the egg felt and tasted rotten which ruined the whole mood but again the Ramen was one of the best taste of Ramen I've had.
