Waitrose is the quintessential British grocer, always with local produce and foods. This location is wonderful, as it used to be John Barnes. So the building is massive. The olive bar, bakery, produce departments all are incredible. So many delicious options to choose from.
And the prices are quite reasonable considering most of the fresh goods are grown locally, and if not it is always indicated on the packaging. They often adjust their prices to match Sainsburys as well.
The customer service is also exceptional. Everyone working there is very happy to help. Unlike Sainsburys and Tescos, the people that work there care and will walk you from isle to isle making sure that you find everything you need. There is always someone who is helping in the wine department, and each time I have found them extremely helpful. They always give great recommendations and I am always pleased with what I leave with.
Also, if you visit waitrose.com there are TONS of amazing recipes that are made easy when you shop in the store. I've already made a couple of the veggie recipes, and I was not disappointed. Waitrose, Finchley Road - Hands down my favourite grocery store in London. read more
