This will be the only review i will ever write about a dentist, through the years i never took care…read moreof my teeth i ignored oral hygiene. My anxiety was triggered my teeth problems, and these last couple months it got the best of me. The month of December i had a mental break down with a crackling sound in my mouth that i couldn't find out what it was. It made me clench my teeth and thought my molars were infected. I went to the first dentist and suggested i need four fillings, i went ahead and gave him my money. I thought it would cure me up and i would be on my way back to work again. Two weeks passed and i heard the same crackling sound and i kept clenching my teeth as if something was there. I decided to go back and informed them what was going on i saw a second dentist and suggested a deep cleaning. I went ahead and set the plan up and got treated for a deep clean. After a week that same feeling of anxiousness and depression was still there. The crackling sound was effecting the way i eat and i was obsessed of getting the feeling to go away. My mother suggested a different dentist so i went ahead and scheduled an immediate appointment. I explained to the new dentist that i had puss and felt something in my mouth so my teeth kept clenching. The third dentist referred me to an endodontics and did three key nerve test on the molars i thought were damaged or infected. When he was finished he suggested to have a root canal done. The root canal was finished and it was time to begin the healing process once again. Two weeks have passed and my mouth felt off, my mind was still occupied on knowing there was something in my mouth. At this time i felt useless, i wanted to give up and when i had my appointment for the cementing of my crown. I informed my third dentist that i need you too look at the right side of my mouth. I felt the puss and anxiety through my mouth an minutes after he seen that my upper molar was cracked. He suggested another root canal on the top molar just below the molar i just had a root canal done. My anxiety spoke for me and yelled extraction. I went through a dramatic experience because it was a January and at this time i had no job. I lost my mind because i thought i was going crazy and i was ready to petition myself into a physiocratic unit. This has to be my last hope and i will be okay from now on. The process of an extraction takes months to heal not just two weeks so i started my healing process once again. This time i had a bible, tusli tea, gaba calm supplements, veggie soup, yogurt soup and meditation guidelines to guide me. Once the two weeks passed i felt the crackling sound and diminishing anxiety through my whole body. My neck felt unease i did not want to eat, i scheduled an appointment and spoke with a PCP to help me with my diet or get a physical exam. Well, in that case my PCP prescribed me antidepressants on top of that i had the crackling sound on my teeth mocking me. Life was about to eat me up and take me away for good i felt. I entered the month of February mentally focusing on fighting on how to get my mind back in terms. I cried to release my anxiety i vented to my wife, i started doing medical marijuana but it did not help. On February 12, 2019 I woke up scared and in a panic state tears sunk me into my bed and i told myself i cant give up. I went online and searched for the nearest dentist i didn't care about qualities i was going to just go talk to five dentist today if i had or maybe even ten a day. So i seen Gateway Dental online that took my insurance, I spent almost all my life savings to help me with all my dental procedures. This was my last hope, and met Dr. Reid i informed him of everything that had happened to me. My mental state, my dental problems and my health i felt like pouring everything i got and requested his help. Dr. Reid listened to my whole story and wanted to evaluate my whole mouth, he wanted to know what was the cause. He was calm with the fifty questions i had for him, he took his time and informed me why i felt anxiety and why my bite was off. Before i finish this story do you know how hard it is to get a dentist attention and for him to actually care not just about money but mental and physical health. Dr. Reid did what other dentist did not do is take there time and evaluate your symptoms. The answer was right on the top corner of my molar. My wisdom tooth, I just had the procedure done today and my anxiety level was so high i honestly thought off funeral arrangements but no. His entire staff and team made you feel calm and relaxed. The oral surgeon who performed the procedure who i met for just 2 minutes made me feel relieved. Please share this with your friends, your coworkers and your loved ones this will be the only review i will ever write. If you are ever suffering from dental anxiety or dental problems I'm a speaking truth. I recommend this dentistry to anyone if you have questions go to Gateway dental. I am at peace

When our family dentist recently stopped accepting an employee sponsored insurance plan, we decided…read moreto try Glendale Modern Dentistry. The experience did not go well! I am sharing my story to inform others that they can find better oral care elsewhere. In mid-June, I went for my first check up and cleaning at Glendale Modern Dentistry. Upon arrival, I learned that required, pre-appointment forms had not been emailed. As a result, I would have to complete them before my appointment. No tablet computer was provided, so I was left to fill out the forms on my personal cell phone. The task was made more difficult due to a lack of internet service in the office. I was told to connect to Dunkin' Donuts WiFi, which again had a poor signal. Eventually, I stood outside in the 100+ degree heat to complete the series of forms. Next, an extensive set of X-rays and photographs taken. Then I was escorted to an exam room where the hygienist hurriedly performed periodontal charting. I attempted to explain that I was very anxious, and usually the hygienist numbs my mouth to avoid discomfort that occurs during my cleaning. The hygienist seemed to lack empathy, and told me that she would prefer to try doing the cleaning without a local anesthetic first. Next the dentist reviewed the X-rays with me, indicating that I have no cavities. When the time finally came for my cleaning, the hygienist refused to perform the service unless I agreed to the following additional procedures: - Scaling and Root Planing -Adjunctive Pre-Diagnostic Test that aids in detection of mucosal abnormalities -Fluoride Varnish -A laser treatment (which she eventually admitted was unnecessary) Again I explained that I was very anxious, and that for this first visit I simply wanted a local anesthetic with a standard teeth cleaning. It was important that I gain confidence and establish trust in the hygienist's quality of care. The hygienist repeatedly refused to do a basic teeth cleaning unless I agreed to the additional procedures, so I eventually left the office without my 6-month cleaning. Of course now my insurance has now been charged approximately $1700 for the X-rays and exam, and I am left without the routine cleaning for which the appointment was intended. At the same time, my young-adult son was being seen in another exam room. This a young man who takes good care of his teeth and has had routine dental appointments every 6 months his entire life. His experience resulted in an out-of-pocket charge of $85 for an unneeded deep cleaning. The hygienist also recommended he get a laser treatment, but eventually said that it could be done at a follow up visit instead. Glendale Modern Dentistry is not interested in quality health care. They seem to be much more focused on up-charging people for unnecessary services. Save yourself the inconvenience and expense by going elsewhere!

I had an…read moreappointment scheduled for over two weeks and had been receiving text message confirmations to my phone number. My appointment today was at 12:00 PM. At 10:05 AM, I received a text confirming my 12:00 appointment while I was at work, so I continued working as normal. Then at 10:29 AM they sent another text saying my appointment had to be canceled. I did not see that message because I was working. I started heading over to the office and called to let them know I was almost there. That's when the receptionist told me they had sent a text saying the appointment was canceled. There was no phone call, only that one text message that I didn't see because I was busy at work. My job was already giving me a hard time about leaving for the appointment, so I asked if they could at least provide a doctor's note since my work requested one. They gave me a letter, but when I asked if someone could sign, initial, or stamp it so it would be valid for my job, the women at the front desk were sitting there laughing like it was a joke. The situation was so unprofessional and uncomfortable that I had to walk away because I was honestly shaken by how unpleasant the whole interaction was. If this is the way management operates, then it seriously needs to do better. I have been to this office before and have never experienced anything like this. I am specifically referring to the two women working at the front desk on 03/12/2026 around 12:00 PM -- their behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm not even upset that I didn't get seen. I'm upset that there was such an unreachable method used to inform me my appointment was canceled. I had already left work and traveled across town. Then when I got there, they couldn't even give me a proper excuse note for my job. The front desk staff were rude and unprofessional

If you're like me and get clammy skin the second you walk in to an office till the time you leave, not believing anything you were told.. then this is for you. I never say too much about places I have enjoyed so I'm feeling a bit perturbed because I am going to have to overshare starting with the waiting room. The office is on the second floor next to the elevator. It over looks an open courtyard and the waiting room is adjacent to the courtyard. With the open windows concept, I never got the claustrophobic feeling accompanied with the usual drabby walls and tight fit of most waiting rooms. The office manager had pre sent me all of the forms to fill out and sign via text. The forms were easy to complete and worked as a fast pass to the hygienist. The appointment time was honored and I was seen right on time. As I walked back to yet another room that has traumatized me my whole life the air felt different this time. Jada was as cool as a cucumber and is a pro's pro. She actually listened to my concerns. She walked me through the steps making sure to take the extra time needed to examine my mentioned problem areas. I felt that she actually cared and didn't miss a beat. After she completed the exam and cleaned my teeth the doctor came by and kept the same energy and never tried to "sell me". I'm aware of my preexisting dental issues and he was on top of them all. He gave me extra options to fixing them I hadn't been given by others. Most importantly, he never once made me feel less than for my situation. Nor did Jada. They both made me a little more confident in the health of my teeth while also stating the facts. And I'm not looking for sympathy but I hate when dentist come off as elitist. I was handed a complimentary goodie bag on my way back to the front desk. I paid my 49 dollar first time fee for what felt like 1000 dollars worth of work. The office manager also offered me an in house insurance program for 300 dollars a year which includes 2 future teeth cleanings amongst other perks as well as 20% off all services (no limit). The last thing I did on my way out was snag a complimentary cranberry La Croix sparkling water. All in all, I could have never expected a first time visit to a dental office turn into possibly the event of the week. (It is only Thursday but I don't have much planned this weekend.) Thank you "Breez" for restoring my trust in the dentistry field. You're my new home. :)

I have been through several cleaning and maintenance appointments and I start ortho in January. So we have received a good amount of services from them and attended many appointments with them. Everyone is always awesome! The front desk is always friendly and knowledgeable. They are always very on top of paper work and billing procedures. A human answers the phone every time I've ever called (during business hours)!! It amazing. This office gives me the feeling of dentists offices from the past where we weren't patient number blah blah blah.. They've always treated Brian and myself like family and give us the feeling they really care. They know our names and although we typically visit separately because of our schedules, everyone asks "how's Brian?" or "how was the wedding?" Signaling that they've taken the time to remember things about their patients and care about our lives outside of just billing our insurance. This is especially evident in long time employees like Nedra. This woman is amazing. She has a firm but loving way of letting you know what to focus on while not making you feel judged or put down. She relates with empathy while pushing for better from you in regard to your oral hygiene. I so enjoy going here and am very much looking forward to partnering with them on my ortho journey!!

I came in expecting a cleaning. I was advised that I needed to first get a x-ray and then I learned…read morethat they don't have time to do a cleaning today and I'll have to schedule to come back a second day. The dentist came in they gave me glasses because the light was advised to be bright, the dentist didn't spend more than 30 seconds looking at me before he said okay you're done, there were not any lights turned on I felt like how could he possibly have done a thorough assessment. I had to schedule a second appointment for a cleaning and I knew I had to take care of a cavity so they told me that if I come in for my cleaning the next day, I can't take care of my cavity because they're tend to work half days on Thursday which I don't know how they can expect that to work for anyone that has a day job. I can't take three consecutive days off just to accommodate the schedule of these dentists. When I explain this to the dentist he promptly said, fine you can go somewhere else. That did not come across as great service and I'm not satisfied with this dentist. I would not recommend going here. Secondly I asked for a quote on my son's wisdom teeth, they printed me a price that was over $3,000. We recalled getting a quote for the same thing 6 months ago and the cost had doubled. I had to ask about this specifically before they realized that they use a different billing code this time and unless I mentioned that the price was different I doubt they would have brought it up. Also if you have a credit with this dentist they will not tell you, unless you ask. This is not a good experience at this dentist. UPDATE: after a comment was made by the business about calling to correct my bad experience, the practice manager advised that she had not read my review and that's her marketing team and they don't have time to read reviews and they don't care about one-star reviews. I questioned everything in my review and there was not any accountability made or apologies for the experience. They said that they only staff one hygienist and if they don't have time, you don't get a cleaning. Don't expect quality service and don't expect accountability from this office for their bad service. UPDATE 2: if you call and give them feedback they will cancel your next appointment without even calling you. They do not want another opportunity to make things right. They ended up deciding they wanted to cancel the relationship with the entire family of three of us in the household that went to this dentist. They didn't care that my wife was halfway through her orthodontic Care. I wanted to give them an opportunity to earn my business back so I kept my appointment but they canceled it without any communication. And then after all of that they text me the same week to ask me about calling their office for scheduling my cleaning.
