    Homemade guava juice

Very nice lady! She let me try an exotic banana. There's fruit here, homemade macaroons, Fresh squeeze guava juice. Cute spot.

This little stand is so charming and special! There are wholesome tropical snacks available here that I haven't seen anywhere else, and the lady working there was so warm, friendly, and contagiously cheerful, it really made my day. There were homemade coconut macaroons in 3 flavors: original, peanut butter (that's what I got... amazing), and chocolate. A container-full was $5. I also got a bottle of fresh, icy cold guava juice for $2 (there was passion fruit juice, too). There were small cups of mac nuts, strips of freshly-cut coconut, cut guava halves... This place is worth the stop!

On the very long drive round-island going north on Kam Hwy, you'll spot many fruit stands with sandwich boards advertising fresh coconut or pineapple or papaya or mangos (if they're in season). we stopped by this name-less, address-less stand for a quick refreshment by coconut juice from a coconut. $3.50 is quite the tourist price, but I don't blame the old lady with missing teeth. Her name is Sandy and she informed us that the state board of health has made it illegal for fruit stand people to use their machetes to cut up the coconut after they have sold it for juice purposes, because a lot of places use rusty knives. i guess you'll have to eat fresh coconut meat some other way. i support old people supporting themselves and local businesses like these are definitely part of the local flavor. see pics!

We spotted this place on the side of the road while exploring the local area. There's tons of yummy looking fresh shaved ice and dried fruit snacks and souvenirs, and the lady who runs the shop is just darling! She was so friendly and welcoming! We had a great time chatting with her while enjoying fresh cold coconut water! It seemed like a pretty popular roadside gem as three more patrons pulled up shortly after us! It's the picturesque fruit stand you'd expect to find off of a highway in Hawaii! It's a great stop while traveling along the east side of the island!

Is this place still open for business? We stopped by during its supposedly open time and the place was closed. Also, haven't seen a recent Yelp review so just wondering.

From the beginning of our interaction, my dad just asked to make sure if they had coconuts as a joke and she was not pleased. The lady here also decided to choose like the worst coconut for us as if it was on purpose. Not sure how you run a coconut stand and can't tell what coconut is good??Ours was so hard and not enjoyable. She also didn't even fully open it and it's not like there was anyone else waiting -- it was just us and our family. I'd recommend to just keep driving on the highway and get your coconut fix elsewhere. The service here just wasn't great.

The coconuts were reasonably priced and had plenty of fresh coconut water. Once you finish the coconut water, they'll cut it open for you so you can enjoy the coconut meat. There are lots of chickens, roosters and geese on the property and they aren't aggressive. It was fun to feed them while we were there.

Want to buy local? This is where to go!…read more Kualoa Grown is a little grocery store within Kualoa Ranch that's free to access and has its own parking stalls. It's to your left when you drive into Kualoa Ranch. Open from 10am to 5pm daily. As the name says, the products are either from the ranch itself or locally produced. It includes raw beef and pork, shrimp, fish, and fruits and vegetables. Prices are definitely reasonable for buying local. Compared to Whole Foods and Foodland, I'd rather buy local. I got pork belly, ground pork, and Portuguese sausage. So good! Next time I want to try its beef, which they don't have often I was told. Also, grabbed some taro, which was very good! Cashier was super nice. There were a lot of local baked goods at the front too. Wished I didn't live so far. I'd come in for groceries every week!

Going to the country is really relaxing and the drive reminded me of how beautiful Oahu is and how lucky I am to be from such a wonderful place. Kualoa Ranch has done a great job of marketing itself and expanding to include a market, Kualoa Grown, featuring locally grown produce, products. And meats. The market opens at 10a, 7 days a week. While it's not huge per se, I think it's a good enough size and has a decent variety featuring locally produced items. I ended up buying local chocolate, ulu chips, macadamia poi cookies, miso sausages, beautiful choi sum greens, star fruit, li hing dried apple bananas, kulolo (my favorite), cold coffee drinks, and Kualoa ranch branded merchandise. Admittedly I went a little overboard shopping but I am happy to support local. Prices are a bit steep but that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays. The ladies working in the market were so sweet and helpful. The aloha was alive and well here! Parking is plentiful but it was full of cars. We did circle around a few times but found a spot. My Dad said this adventure to Kualoa Ranch was so fun and did not disappoint. We will be back! I ordered vanilla beans and a vanilla kit at the end of November. A day later I wanted to order a few more kits, so contacted LVC and owner, Saili, let me know that I could pay for them and they would include them in the original order. I received a notification that my original order was mailed out (the first order was the only one noted). I'm not sure why, but the postal person did not deliver them (it was storming on delivery day, unsure if he felt it was too wet to leave for me). I received a notification that it was returned to the post office and I immediately rescheduled delivery. It was labeled as such on the tracking that it was supposed to be redelivered. The redelivery date came and went. Since I was using these for Christmas gifts, I reached out to LVC just to make sure both of my orders were included in the same box since the tracking info only listed the first order products. I thought that maybe if not everything was in there, I could have LVC mail the second order in an effort to get some gifts on time. Saili let me know everything was in the box. Saili also tried to call the post office but they did not answer (thank you Saili for trying!). Just before Christmas I got an email that my delivery was received. I was so excited thinking my box was dropped off. To my surprise, the box was delivered back to LVC! I contacted Saili and asked what my options were. Unfortunately the holidays are so busy I could not make it out to Laie to pick up and that's when the most unexpected thing happened. Saili offered to drop it off at my house. Aloha spirit alive and well! Thank you again Laie Vanilla and Saili! I see other reviews noting a vanilla tour - would love to do this one day. Can't wait to get my vanilla beans marinating!
