We came to Wahweap swimming area so that we could go for a swim on a hot September day. The water was beautiful and refreshing but not too cold. It was a lovely place to swim and has a great view of the dessert rock formations. It costs $30 per personal vehicle to enter the park area. There is plenty of parking, and it is a short walk down to the beach.

This was me and my family's first time to Lake Powell in Page, AZ and we were super impressed and loved the RV campsite! We had a spot underneath a tree for some added shade. It helped a lot with the temperatures reaching 109 degrees in July. Campsite has full hookups (electricity, water, sewer) and it made our stay more comfortable. The campsites have enough room in between each and are very close to the Lake shoreline. We took a canopy and chairs because it was so hot the day we went and I'm glad we did! Take a wagon if you are able to because the walk back up to the parking lot is pretty steep and can get tiresome carrying chairs and other stuff. The employees were very nice when we checked in. We found our new place to visit every year and explore the many other activities Page, AZ has to offer.

It's within driving distance to Antelope Canyon and trails we needed to get to like Spencer in (Marble Canyon) and Horseshoe Bend. There's Lake Powell within walking distance as well. There's a laundry mat available located next to the check-in office. Very convenient after many days on the road. What made it even better was that our site had full hookups. I believe there are sites that aren't equipped with a sewer, but there's a dump station available. While on a walk with one of my dogs a man screamed from a distance warning me of Bob Cats. Not that I seen one, but did not chance it by unleashing or leaving them unattended. I'm already missing this campground. I honestly could live here for a few months if I had the opportunity. Someone please help me! LOL.

Perfect spot for a perfect weekend!! Bring a pop up canopy because there is NO SHADE. Other than that - perfect campsite. So many tips to share- read on for more! The bathrooms were in great shape for all of our needs and the store has a 24/7 set of showers! Can't beat it. Just make sure you have a few bucks cash to get shower tokens. We booked a spot in the tent only loop and loved how isolated it still felt from all of the camp vans. The days get hot fast - so prep to go the beach or on the boat early. ***Before you leave for the day- make sure your tent and other stuff is staked down and secure!! One time we showed back up and a neighbors tent had blown totally upside down into a pole. *** The walk from the parking lot to the waterfront is prettttttty long. Surprisingly long. Pack plenty of beverages (and water) to be sure the way up is a breeze. Wahweap Marina is massive and has tons of rental options but we ended up renting from Antelope Point Marina because everything was sold out at Wahweap. We were a group of 7, with four tents. Our spot had space for all of us to set up and relax. Everything was easy and felt nice and secure while we were out and about. Thanks Wahweap staff for the great weekend.

Great campsite in the page, az. So many great views only minutes drive from this campsite! Campsite was really beautiful and clean. They have a store at the site where you can buy last minute items and souvenirs. The bathrooms were super clean which is sometimes a hit or miss at other camp sites. The campsites are a great size and definitely recommend this campsite !

Great place! Definitely need to check it out if visiting Lake Powell. Campsites of all sorts, hookups and no hookups. Sites are flat and well marked. Laundry, even a hotel if you prefer, plus at least 2 marinas for boat watching.

The campground is not shaded and there are barely any trees. In the summertime camping is brutal for tent users. It's nice to have flush bathrooms nearby and it's definitely nice to have shower options for the entire group. The lake and beach was nearby, so it's nice! I definitely would stay here again but during the cooler months.

This campground is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Center and a separate entrance fee is charged. I used the America The Beautiful annual National Park Pass. Great amenities including a well stocked store, token showers, free wifi, laundry room, dish washing sink. Shade trees were planted, but these sites are really full exposed. Very hot in mid-September. Bring something for shade. Easy shoreline access. Bathrooms were clean.

Spot was clean and beautiful. The grounds are kept nice and very convenient to have a store on site even though a bag of ice was over $5. Pretty long walk to the lake.

On top of that, the "amenities" that you are paying for with their high prices are not even available during the winter. No hot tub. No pool, (understandably of course). This review is basically only about their tent spots and their fees for them. I do not recommend this place for tent campers nor for van people. Especially during the winter months. I reserved a dry tent site for $50 after taxes. It had no picnic table so I had to steal the one from the very close by neighbor campsite because there is nothing between sites. I tried the faucet and realized why the website said dry. The restrooms and showers were well kept and very clean as others have said. I'll give them that. They have a laundry room, but 75% of the machines were not working. The basic tent campsites are next to a parking lot with very bright lights as well as by the road where you hear every vehicle. They have "glamping tent" spots that are nothing to brag about with no privacy between the adjacent lots. They need to charge a lot less for the tent spots. Both the "glamping" and the $40 basic. Especially during the winter months!! They don't even have a veteran's discount at this location. I should have just slept in my van by the side of the road and paid $10 for a shower here. Only good part is that I found a great Italian deli in town that made this stop worth it.

Horseshoe Bend was our first stop after checking into our hotel. The nice thing is it's not that tough to pull off. When you arrive, you have to pay $10 to park, and then a short hike on a most paved road (10-15 minutes) will take you to Horseshoe Bend. You'll be able to see this incredible beauty of nature from a cliff that overlooks it. The main area has a railing but there are also open areas off the cliff where you can see it, too. Be careful as your pursuit to get an amazing pic may get you in trouble if you're too close to the cliff's edge. A picture isn't worth risking your life. Take a couple of pictures, enjoy the beauty, and make your way back. You can easily visit Horseshoe bend in 30 minutes to an hour. Given it's popularity, it has gotten quite popular and was busy when I went. That took away from enjoying being out in nature a bit, but still well worth it. When you leave, they have restrooms available near the exit. A must visit when in Page!

The attraction itself is free, but parking costs $10 per vehicle. After parking, there's a short walk to the overlook. The walk is pretty easy, but it can get hot and windy depending on the weather, so bring water and wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach the viewpoint, the scenery is absolutely unreal. Seeing the Colorado River curve around the canyon in person is so much more impressive than photos online. The overlook is very high, which makes the views even more dramatic. If you're planning to take photos or videos, try walking around a bit because some areas get crowded. We found one of the higher spots for better views and it was totally worth it for pictures. Also, don't forget to stop by the "Page, Arizona" sign nearby before leaving! Overall, such a beautiful and easy stop to add to any Arizona or Southwest road trip itinerary.

The day before our tour, Julia called to let us know strong headwinds were expected and asked if we wanted to adjust our time. We already had a different morning tour scheduled, and they were incredibly accommodating with our plans. At the launch site, we met our guide Logan, and we were lucky that it was just our family of four on this tour. Husband and I wore aqua shoes and my daughters opted to wear their Birkenstock sandals and go barefoot, which was fine if you're okay with getting red mud on them. Logan was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous since I'm a beginner kayaker, but he let us move at our own pace. It ended up being a great workout while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The canyon was quiet, beautiful, and not crowded at all. We paddled across Lake Powell and into the canyon, and the cool lake water felt amazing in the warm end-of-March weather (mid-80s). They provided life jackets, offered bottled water, and Logan even took photos of us both on the water and at the end of the canyon, which we really appreciated. He also shared helpful paddling tips along the way. The entire tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours and was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Highly recommend for families and beginners looking for a scenic and well-guided kayaking experience!

Our group completed the kayak and hike which were very much worth it! We needed slight accommodations and Sid and John were reassuring and supportive for both my mom and I. This tour is really for everyone and I can't recommend this tour company and John enough. Because we traveled during off season, we had the entire lake and trail to ourselves. John left much time for us to take cool pictures and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure to engage with each person in the group and was successful in getting the more shy individuals to step out of their comfort zones. John and Sid (the other employee) made this tour worth it. They provided awesome recommendations for things in the area and also future outdoor related activities in the U.S. Be sure to pack enough water. Remember you are in a kayak and your items will likely get soaked. Luckily they provide one water proof bag per kayak which can hold your phone and camera. If you feel the need to pack more, I recommend that you bring your own waterproof back pack. I opted to go barefoot in the kayak and wear shoes on the hike. You will have to walk through water to get on and off of the boat. Do not let your size and fitness level deter you from this tour. The team is incredibly accommodating and reassuring, making this the perfect tour for all. Highly recommend this tour and either Sid or John!

A friend and I booked this event for her 40th birthday and it was the absolute highlight of our trip! We were thinking of renting kayaks and doing it ourselves but are both so grateful that we didn't because our tour guide, Ryan, was fantastic-- extremely knowledgeable, helpful, witty, and patient with us, as we were both beginners. She said yes but the benefit of using them was they carried the boards down and up a steep hill. We were there on Saturday April 25th. So we rented two paddle boards and she warned us about the winds. It was like $155. She was nice so we went for it. We get to the site and are waiting around. They haven't even taken the boards off the truck, but we were fine waiting. Layla finally made it up the HILL and had 2 boards taken off the truck and laid on the ground. I asked if any of the MANY men who were there and carrying kayaks down, was going to carry them down. She said no, you carry them. And that hill was STEEP. I figured meh, okay. I was annoyed since we were told they'd be ready for us at the bottom. Layla carried my paddle. Once I saw the hill, I was even more annoyed but I already paid $155 plus $30 entry to the lake. When we got to the bottom, she mentioned when we got back I had to carry it back up. I said I'm not doing that. lol. She held my leash so I could climb on my board. Not an easy task where we were. The paddle boarding was rough but we knew that, the girls at the office warned us. 5 miles later we returned. I STRUGGLED getting off the board and trying to haul it up by myself, my body was shaking and I was visibly exhausted. A young man who worked for this place, WATCHED me struggle. Asked how it was, I said it sucked. He mentioned me carrying the board up that steep hill, while I was shaking from exhaustion and out of breath, and I said "I'm not doing that" and he replied with "why is it heavy?" I did carry my life jacket and paddle...but after that comment I REALLY didn't want to. Layla gave me a water at the top and said to take a breath, I was breathing very heavy. I'd say don't rent paddle boards. You will have to carry them up and down the hill and will get no assistance getting off the board either. But they did carry the kayaks and help those people who also paid like we did, in and out of the kayaks. So maybe rent those and not the paddle boards.

Check-in felt a bit like standing in a slow car rental line. We waited about 15 minutes while a line formed behind us, and there was a form with disclaimers to sign before getting the room key. Our room was in Building 7. The rooms feel dated, and housekeeping seemed inconsistent. We had 2 bath towels, 2 makeup towels, and 1 hand towel, but no washcloths and no pool towels. The front desk said pool towels should be in the room, but there are none available at the pool itself. Our bathtub drain was clogged, so water pooled during showers, and one of the bed frames had something unpleasant on the fabric that clearly should have been cleaned. Amenities were also disappointing for a property charging a nightly resort fee. The hot tub jets were broken, the water wasn't warm, and it looked pretty dirty. The pools are not heated, so they were ice cold in April. Ironically, the hot tub appeared to finally start working the morning we checked out. Food options on site include the Driftwood Lounge, a breakfast deli, and the Rainbow Room for buffet and dinner (reservations required for dinner). The buffet was just okay -- next time I'd skip it and order an entrée instead. The hot & spicy wings at the lounge were decent. Overall, I gave it 3 stars because the staff were very kind and the views are fantastic. If we stayed again, we'd come with the expectation of enjoying the scenery rather than the amenities.
