Okay, so, being from out of town, the sparkling green paint job grabbed my attention immediately. I was in Charlottesville for a wedding, and we did a wine and brew tour and then used them later in the night.
Having heard the recommendation, I didn't know what we were in for. When the giant green thing showed up, I figured we were in for quite a time.
I found the driver, Brad, to be great. He knew the area, a little bit of history about the places we were going, and even got us a special private room at one of the wineries. On the way back to town at the end of the day, he hooked up my iphone to the radio system and we sang karaoke all the way back with the lights inside going crazy. I'm sure the hotel had no idea what was going on when we pulled up.
Later that night, after dinner and drinks, I called them again for our group. A different driver showed up promptly (was almost as cool as Brad!) and took our group of 12 back to the hotel for $3 per person. Where I'm from that would have taken several cabs that-may or may not- have shown up at the same time.
I had a great time, the other guests had a great time. When I'm back in Charlottesville I'll definitely use Wahooptie again. Having read some of the other reviews, I didn't experience anything negative at all. It's definitely a trip that I'll remember! read more
