We had an absolutely exceptional experience with Albermarle Limousine. My husband and I had planned a winery / brewery tour for our anniversary - after another vendor cancelled last minute, I reached out to this company for transportation and they could not have been more accommodating. The booking was seamless and our driver, Bill, made our day incredible. He truly went above and beyond, making reservations for us, taking photos, sharing interesting facts about the wineries and breweries we were visiting, and kept us on schedule! So many thanks to this company and Bill specifically. Highly recommend. read more

We had the BEST time using one of the vintage cars for our elopement. The driver was extremely professional and wonderful to chat with. The car itself was a show stopper! We definitely turned heads heading to our elopement venue, and got the coolest photos with the car. The whole process was incredibly smooth, and we had a blast. Would definitely use them again! read more

Used them for our wedding and everything went off without a hitch (except for... of course, the wedding)! Would recommend to other folks planning their wedding. They were waiting at the ceremony as we poured out, got all of our 100 guests to the reception, and then dropped us back off with no issues at all. Thanks for helping make our big day as seamless as possible! read more

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Albemarle Limousine for our five-hour Virginia wine tour. Our tour guide/driver, Kevin, was superb -- extremely professional, friendly, a great driver and he really made the day so much more fun for us. The company was also really easy to work with, and exceptionally prompt in their responses. All of this in light of COVID, no less! We will definitely be using this company's services (and requesting Kevin!) on our next trip. read more

Albemarle Limousine recently handled the transportation to our wedding. After sending me a photo of what I thought I was reserving (a 24 passenger limo), a 32 passenger coach bus shows up on our wedding day. No one let me know that the bus I was reserving was in fact not what they had sent me in the pictures because no pictures were sent after I asked about a different bus. I assumed this one would look the same, wouldn't you? This was very disappointing because it thoroughly changed the vibe of what we wanted the bus up to Sharp Top Mountain to be. Subsequently, the driver of this bus had no accurate directions to the stops that we had laid out for him to make over a month ahead of time, came into the dinner venue and actually interrupted dinner, and the ac in the bus was not functioning correctly. An employee even tried to charge us for the bus twice. We actually had to send the receipt for the payment back to prove we had paid for the bus. Also the day prior to the ceremony and the reservation, we received numerous text messages and phone calls with questions about what we had taken the time to complete on their schedule (they request a form to be filled out with your itinerary 30 days in advance). The operation of this business is not only unprofessional, but management was defensive when we wrote an email inquiring about poor service instead of accommodating. Note: this review is from the bride and groom who actually took the time to review this company on their honeymoon. We are, in fact, that upset about this experience with this company. No refund has happened at this point after 2 emails exchanged. Be advised. read more

We had the pleasure of experiencing some amazing vineyards and wineries with the most lovely man, Gillie Jenkins! He made our annual girls trip just perfect! He was well versed in the local history and just a true joy to spend the day with! Highly recommend this company, and specifically Gillie! read more

Do not use for weddings. I was getting ready to be married and 20 minutes prior I find out the guests were not picked up. Had to stop getting ready and Albemarle went to the wrong address. Drive argued that he is at the right one even though I had multiple emails from them confirming. Wedding got pushed back 30 min, multiple guests had to find their own transportation, and our photo session and reception got squeezed. Ended up only transporting less than 1/2 our estimate in the end. read more

Everything would have been fine for my wedding except: 1. There was an issue with the itinerary and the driver did not call me which led to my wedding time being delayed. 2. They cannot reuse your credit card to make the multiple payments required, so you receive multiple hard to decipher emails demanding your credit card number over email... Irritating... read more

Ontime. Clean vehicle. Professional and friendly driver. Priced fairly. Nothing to criticize.

Exceptional Experience! I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the expert guided wine tour with Blue Ridge Wine Excursions, and I must say this is truly the best way to tour the vineyards of Central Virginia. The expert was experienced, courteous, and knowledgeable about the wine trail and my friends and I had the most wonderful afternoon as we toured vineyards in the Cadillac Escalade. We also were treated to a ride in one of the 1940's Fleetwood Cadillac limousines for a night on the town. This service, offered by Albemarle Vintage Limousine, is well worth the price, and the owners go above and beyond to customize the perfect outing! read more

I used Albemarle Limousine last year for a wine tour in Charlottesville, and couldn't have been more pleased with how the day went. That being said, I quickly booked them for our wedding day transportation this past April. We rented both an antique Packard limousine for my husband and I and a 24-passenger coach for our wedding party and families. Both drivers were on time, courteous and professional. Additionally, the vehicles were spotless. The driver of our antique Packard was a true gentleman. He stocked our champagne bucket with extra ice while we were inside the UVA Chapel getting married, so that it would be ice cold for us upon our return. Andrea (who fielded my many calls / questions / requests) is such a delight to work with. She makes you feel taken care of, and genuinely cares how your service was. Whether you need a casual ride to and from breweries, or formal transportation for your big event, Albemarle Limousine is who you should call. They're the best! read more

We used a 24 person "party limo" type shuttle for our wedding in Orange, VA. We had two guests staying at two different locations and Albemarle was excellent about making sure that all guests arrived on time. My friends also let me know that the driver, Gillie was a lot of fun, made an extra stop for refreshments and let them play whatever music they wanted. It was a great way to help our friends get the party started early, and keep it going once the reception was over. There were a few extra fees associated with a pick up outside of Charlottesville, but in the end, the service and safety of our guests were worth the price. read more

If you have to be at an appointment at certain time . I would look for another service. They did not know how to get to a major landmark. They double billed me and still have not been credited. I don't like to give bad reviews for locally owned businesses but I also want other travelers to know what happened to me. read more

These guys were awesome! I just spent a day touring wineries in Charlottesville and our driver (we got a Mercedes) was early, very polite and new his way around to all the wineries we wanted to go to. Very polite, very nice, made the day very enjoyable. The price was great for a day of wine touring! I would use them again! read more

Used them for a 3 person, 5-hour wine tour for my mom and her friends. Mom and her friends loved their driver (Kate) and I couldn't have been happier with the customer service. Friendly, personable and they confirm the pick-up time and location multiple times. Also, their prices were the cheapest when I compared a few other places for the same service read more

We recently hired Albemarle Limo to provide driving service for a winery tour east of Charlottesville. The driver (J.C.) arrived a little early, so we did not have to wait. He was friendly and courteous and was knowledgeable about most of the area's wineries. The SUV we chose was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We would use this service again and would recommend them to our friends. read more

I hired the company for a 5 hour winery/brewery excursion for my boyfriend's birthday. It was fantastic. Their pricing was competitive for the area. The driver, Jay, was exceptionally knowledgable of the area -- had interesting stories of each brewery/winery and its history, he was courteous, arrived on time, and added to the experience. Moreover, as the day progressed, we changed our minds a bit on which wineries we wanted to tour -- no only was he flexible in changing the plan but had great advice to help make the best decisions. Not only would I recommend them to others, but I will absolutely use them again. read more

We did a brewery tour with 29 people on their largest bus. We had an INCREDIBLE time! The driver showed up on time, and she was wonderful throughout the entire trip. We were worried about not having enough time, and she worked with us to purchase an extra hour while on the trip. Both the driver and the company were outstanding. I would 100% recommend them to my friends and will definitely be using them again! We had a blast. Cannot wait to do it again! read more

Extremely disappointed. My UVa student returning to school arrives at airport in Virginia and the limo transport service does not show up. This is after sending us a 24 Hour Reminder and a 2 Hour Reminder confirmation emails of pickup. This is not client service. And on top of that, they have no recourse or remedy for us. Horrible client service. read more

Rented one of the new 24-passenger mini-buses and overall a terrific experience. This new bus was very clean and comfortable. Our group planned our own winery tour and needed a driving service to move us around to a number of different locations. Our drive, Mike, showed up early so there was no stress about that. Always felt safe on the road. Our planned second winery bailed on us and Mike came up with a fantastic alternative. Our final drop-off plans a number of times in route and Mike was very accommodating. Overall this worked out great. And the price was pretty much in line with what I thought it should be. read more

If you have to get picked up from a major airport like Dulles, National or even Richmond to get back to UVA, do not use this service. They will lie through their teeth that there was a "system" error on their end and that's why the driver wasn't there to pick you up at 10 pm at night at the airport to take you back to C'Villle. The drivers I've had are all fine but the administration and dispatch take no responsibility nor do they have any phone manners -- just a shameful display of customer service. You can call the phone number listed but it either sends you to a voicemail telling you to leave a detailed message and they will call you back (usually 24 hours later - which is unhelpful when you just landed at the airport) or it goes to their answering service and the operator says they can only take a message. They may send you an automated email 24 hours in advance as well with your driver's name and cell number -- but again, all smoke and mirrors; you call the driver's cell and no one picks up and the voicemail box is either full or is "not set up at this time to accept messages". So sad since this is a locally owned female business owner but as the saying goes "fool me once...". As I tell all the other grad students, just use Uber and Lyft, they all have GPS anyways. It really irks me too because UVA supports this company by listing them on the student and alum websites as a preferred car service and offers a 10% off code to us, but that 10% discount is no way worth their abysmal service. read more

Had a great day with our driver, "Gillie", he was very knowledgeable on where to go for wineries and breweries. At every stop he was there setting up photos with background views. It made everything so easy to enjoy a 40th birthday event for my wife. Thanks again we will definitely use your services again. read more

We used this service for a winery tour for my sister's bachelorette party. We are all from out of town and don't know the area very well. Not only was Andrea nice and helpful on the phone, but our driver was very knowledgable about the area and wine! Our driver had to put up with 6 girls gabbing the whole car ride and he took our pictures for us at every winery stop! It was truly a memorable experience and one that I would recommended for anyone touring the area. Highly, highly recommend, can't say enough good things about them! read more

DO NOT USE!!!! My friend hired them for her to ensure we all got to the wedding venue just fine. We arrived at the meeting location 15 minutes before the departure time (we arrived at 3:45 and departure was at 4). We waited there until 4:30pm and the bus NEVER SHOWED!!!! More people had arrived at the meeting location for this bus in the meantime. After waiting for 45 minutes we all had to figure out how we were going to get to the venue so we didn't miss the wedding. We couldn't wait any longer!!! All the people who were planning on using this service were ALL out of town guests and we had NO IDEA where we were and the cell service was a bit touch and go so we were all a little nervous about driving to the venue ourselves. Luckily we all made it, but with no help from this company. When the bride and groom contacted the company, they claimed their bus was there, waiting and no one showed up (LIES). They did not apologize or try to compensate them at all. It is interesting that 50 guests, who do not know each other, were all able to find the location fine but the bus didn't. A quote from the bride "I am so furious and so sad that on the happiest day of my life I had to have my guests shuttle themselves while paying for this service." AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

We used this company for my mother's 70th birthday. They recommended a great restaurant and then provided two vintage cars for the evening. It was such a treat for my mom. All her kids and grand kids attended and it was a great memory. Highly recommend this company. Service was first class. Cars were gorgeous and the chauffeur was excellent. read more

My friends and I hired Albemarle Limo for a girls' out day of wine tasting in the Charlottesville area and we were simply blown away by the service, the expertise, and the friendliness of our driver Bit. Yes, that's his name, Bit. And he is absolutely the best. Arrived early to pick us up, introduced us to the lovely black Mercedes "Pearll" that he drove us around in, told us all about the area we were visiting, took fabulous care of us at each of the wineries, and totally made our day a delightful experience. The company has a fleet of luxury and historic cars--several different Mercedes and a stable full of Packards (!) and I highly recommend calling Albemarle for your next transportation need in the Charlottesville area. read more

We had the great fortune of having Andrea (company owner) take us on a winery tour and had a WONDERFUL experience. We used Albermarle Vintage Limo for our getaway car from our wedding in Charlottesville. They were incredibly prompt and incredibly easy to work with. Our pictures turned out wonderful and I highly recommend Albermarle Vintage Limo for any occasion. read more

We used Albemarle Limousine company for our wine tour. The company was easy to work with and prompt to respond. J.C. was a our driver for the afternoon. My fiancé and I at the time booked this company for our wedding transportation. Jennifer was a delight to deal with and always responded to my emails. When I booked the bus to transport our guests from the hotel to the vineyard I booked the 47 passenger bus being that a larger bus would not be able to make it across the bridge leading from the main road to the vineyard. My wedding coordinator had also called them twice to confirm that a larger bus could not be sent due to it not being able to make it across the bridge. She was assured the bus we booked would be the one sent. Last minute we decided to also rent a 15 passenger van to take the guests from the vineyard up the hill to our ceremony site once they arrived. We had inquired about renting a van from them for the day for that as well but with the "multi-vehicle " discount it still came to $300-$400 dollars just for the van on top of the $1300 we had paid for the bus, not a big deal we found another company. Best decision we made looking back now. At the ceremony I was getting ready to walk down the aisle with my bridesmaids when my fiancé shows up and informs us that the bus had broken down with the guests. Ok there's hiccups with anyone's big day, it's bound to happen. I assumed they were going to do he right thing and rush to the rescue to get my guests to my wedding...wrong. That's when I was informed by our wedding coordinator that a 55 passenger bus had been sent instead and oh my gosh, shock face, it couldn't make it across the bridge to get to the vineyard as they were already told. One of my wedding guests had to take the van from the vineyard down the road to where the bus was sitting with the rest of my guests and transport 15 people at a time up to the ceremony site. 45 minutes later, and almost an hour late into my reception we were finally able to start the reception. Being that we were only able to book our reception for 5 hours my wedding was unfortunately cut short by an hour. We got back from our wedding the following week and contacted them asking to speak to the CEO Eric. We were told he was in a conference for the week and would get back to us on the following Monday. On Tuesday of the following week we didn't hear from Eric but were contacted by Jennifer, the sales employee, who had talked to our wedding coordinator and had been told what happened. Jennifer explained that they had tried to do us a favor because the 55 passenger bus was nicer then the 47 passenger bus and that communication had not been made to the dispatcher on that day stating a larger bus could not be sent. She was very nice and apologetic and called us to see what could be done to fix the situation not even knowing we had had called and were waiting for Eric to call us back. She offered us a wine tour that they offer as compensation which after looking at finances would not work out being that we would have to pay for hotel, gas and boarding for our dogs once again. We appreciated the offer though but stated we were waiting to hear back from Eric and would talk to him to see what else could be done. My husband was finally contacted on Wednesday by Eric after calling him twice and explained to him what had happened. Eric made no other offers, suggestions, or asked what could be done but stated he would be putting a check in the mail to compensate us which we received on Saturday for $150. It was a slap in the face after all the extra running that had to be done due to their mistake. Not to mention the fact that if we hadn't rented the passenger van my guests would have been walking about a mile to the ceremony from where the bus was stuck. I will never do business with them again and my coordinator will never recommend them. They should probably stick to wine tours and leave the important events to the pros. Dealing with Jennifer was the only good experience we had with this company, so thank you Jennifer keep up the good work! read more
