She took us to five fantastic and picturesque wineries that we absolutely loved. I have to say that Afton Mountain Winery was my favorite. We definitely knew we wanted to visit some wineries but just weren't sure of the best way to get around. We decided on Blue Ridge Wine Excursions due to the fact neither one of us were interested in driving. The booking was great--and we let our wine guide pick the locations. Our tour guide was excellent from start to finish. He offered advice (reminders for aficionados) at the start of the trip to help us novices benefit more from each wine tasting. We visited four places on the "Western Wine Trail." Each stop offered a unique experience as it was clear each winemaker loved their craft. Also, it was nice to hear the passion in their voices along with their own perspectives on the industry. All of the wineries provided a laid back atmosphere, not once did any of the hosts act pretentious. The Wine Tour was fun and educational--would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Charlottesville!

We were not sure how many people we would have, but Crozet Trolley has space for much more than the 14 guests that most of the wine tours in the area can accommodate. They were flexible with our schedule, transported us efficiently to our destinations, and helped to make the afternoon fun. I would highly recommend Crozet Trolley for visiting wineries in the Crozet area.

After freshening up and dropping our bags in the Arcand suite, we were welcomed with a wine and cheese happy hour to get to know the other visitors and learn about the area and what to expect for the weekend wine tour we selected. Each morning we were served a delicious made from scratch breakfast using local organic ingredients at our own personal breakfast table. Each evening we were left a couple of local chocolates to go with their own dessert wine in our room. The wine tour on Saturday was wonderful, I am very happy with the vineyards we went to (I hadn't been to any of them!) and how much time clearly went into creating the package for their guests. They even take pictures out at the vineyards to send you later! The property is gorgeous and I felt relaxed the second we got out of the car upon arrival. Then, all the little details Erika and Chris have put into the place really make it stand out. From the robe and slippers in the room, to the popcorn and cookies they leave out in the common area, to their sweet dogs they let me pet because I missed my own. I loved everything about this weekend. It could not have been more perfect!

Girls trip -we did the Crozet tour and went to King , Hazy Mtn, Veritas and Flying fox wineries…read more We enjoyed the first 3 stop especially the Stunning view at Hazy but had a hard time choosing the 4th stop as we felt that none of the choices were great. We had an hour at each stop which was ok but would have liked a little more time. Probably would have been better to have more time at the first 3 and eliminate the 4th one. We did the 151 tour previously and the choices were better imo but the drive to get there was longer. they do not assist with reservations at the wineries so you are on your own with that and there is no estimated time frame provided as to when you may be at each stop so making a reservation is pretty difficult. Wineries super busy in the fall so reservations are helpful but not necessary. Bus was super bumpy and curvy winding roads so if you are prone to car sickness you may wish to reconsider. Other than that we had a good time. Snacks (chips) and water provided. No live music at any of the wineries which was suprising.

We were fortunate enough to have Steven--the owner--drive us in a luxurious Cadillac Escalade. He was personable, fun, chatty, and a great driver. We made four winery stops plus a cidery on our six-hour tour. He opened doors, walked us in to locations, got us offers at most locations, carried any bags (wine), and offered us cold water. He also was always nearly driving up immediately upon exit. Awesome service! We were disappointed by our picnic lunch provided by our inn and at the next winery Steven had ordered us a cheese and meat plate + got us a resort credit . Seriously awesome service! None of us were familiar with the area so we needed a lot of help planning our tour. Stephen and Jenny were friendly, responsive and knowledgable about area wineries and restaurants. They helped us design the itinerary for our wine tour and select a restaurant for dinner, and then made reservations at each stop on our behalf. It was easy to communicate with them via phone and email, and they kept me updated on the status of reservations and relayed key info throughout the process. All communications with both Stephen and Jenny were very professional and made me feel confident that I selected a great tour company. On the day of our tour, CVWTT did not disappoint! Our group of 14 reserved the 18-passenger limo bus for the day. The bus was clean and came stocked with glassware and bottled water. It also had an auxiliary chord so we could play our own music. Our driver Tina arrived promptly and was incredibly polite and professional. She kept us on track the entire day and gave us friendly reminders when we needed to start wrapping up a tasting so we could make our next appointment. She was also kind enough to get out at one stop and take some photos of us so that no one in our group had to be left out of group pictures. She really went above and beyond to make our experience great. I would definitely book with CVWTT again in the future!

Visiting from California and the vibes were right the whole day, between the bus, host, and wine. We've done a good amount of tours in the past but I really enjoyed the inclusiveness of Tipsy's package. Usually you get dropped off and then have to go wait and pay at each place, but not so here. The price included the tastings (not tipping though, but why would it) which made it feel easier and just a smoother process overall. We had great conversations with the other guests, but also didn't feel like we had to hang out with them if we didn't want to. The host/owner was very entertaining and her attitude kept the vibes right the whole trip! Definitely would do some other wineries with this company again if ever back in VA!
