    Bangin Wagu burger!

We come to Wagyu Ru EVERY Saturday! Every weekend they sell cooked tasty double burgers with cheese, special sauce and pickles. You can get soda and chips to go with it. It's really just a Wagyuru meat market during the week so they dont have a sit down inside spot BUT they do have a tent and tables set outside that we always sit at and enjoy out burgers. They are always so friendly and get you your burger in no time! A must visit of youre a burger guy!

This review is solely based off of the Waygu smash burgers they well on weekends. I highly recommend getting there early since they tend to sell out. For about $15 you can get a burger, chips, and soft drink of your choice. As someone who doesn't typically reach for burgers, this one was amazing! I could definitely tell the two patties were made with quality beef with how tender and flavorful they were. I got mine with cheese, and it already comes with pickles, a house-made sauce, and potato buns. Keep in mind this place is not a restaurant, so don't expect a dining experience. They do have a small set up of tables and chairs with a tent outside their door if you'd want to sit and eat. Service was friendly and accommodating and I can see myself recommending this place!

Herbert's Specialty Meats on Richmond near the Galleria instantly took me back home. The moment you walk in, the number of items from Louisiana is delightful Their boudin, seasonings, and prepared items reminded me so much of my grandmother's gumbo, boudin, and rich, slow-cooked stews--comfort food that warms your soul. You can taste the authenticity and love in everything they make. This is the kind of place that understands balance, spice, and tradition. Customer service was excellent--friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help you find exactly what you're craving. There are tons of choices, whether you're stocking up for a cookout or just grabbing something to satisfy that Cajun craving. For anyone missing Louisiana flavors or wanting the real deal in Houston, Herbert's is a must-stop. It feels like a little piece of "The Boot"

The seafood manager told us it would be over $60 and we said that was fine. He picked one for us and handed it to a worker to clean/prep. While we were picking blue crabs nearby, we saw the worker struggling. My mom politely tried to explain how to clean it properly (she wasn't being rude -- she was trying to help because the worker looked lost). The worker responded with a nasty attitude, brushed her off, and kept ignoring her while chatting with a coworker. Then the worker handed us the bag and said, "Next time I'm not even going to clean it for you -- get out of here!" I've never had an employee speak to my family like that in a grocery store. We were so upset we didn't even take the bag and walked away to finish shopping. At checkout, the seafood manager came over with the same worker and asked why we left it. We explained what happened. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve it, the manager got rude and accused us of leaving it because we can't afford it. That's not only unprofessional -- it's insulting, especially because we agreed to the price from the start and were prepared to pay. And to make things worse, while the worker was chatting with his coworker during the prep, I overheard him saying words like "chinos" and "pinches." I'm not fluent, but I know enough Spanish to recognize when someone is talking about customers in a disrespectful way. It's disturbing to hear that in a store where a lot of customers are Asian. This wasn't a "bad day" situation. It was outright hostility from an employee and a manager who escalated things instead of doing his job. We only took the turtle after demanding an apology, but the experience was already ruined. I won't be returning. If management cares, they need to retrain or replace staff in seafood -- because nobody should be spoken to like that while spending money in your store.

I don't eat meat, but I NEEDED a grilled cheese and an order of onion rings just sounded like the right thing to do, so I did it. My oh my! What I got was the largest grilled cheese sandwich I've ever seen on what I think was brioche bread? It was very much the texture of a croissant and whoa....so tasty! The onion rings were very nice with thick sliced onions so the ratio of onion to batter was perfect. JLB obviously takes changing out the oil in their fryers seriously (as many places don't) because they were fresh and didn't taste like anything that had been deep-fried in the oil previously. This is a real issue for me. I don't want tortilla chips that smell and taste rancid, nor do I want churros that taste like tortilla chips that have been previously fried in the same rancid oil. I have an extremely sensitive olfactory sense, but it lends itself nicely to eating out at establishments that take the care and concern for cleanliness and their patrons. Speaking of cleanliness, JLB is spotless, although to the point the cleaning products smell overwhelm the entire small establishment. I immediately knew when I walked in that I couldn't eat there, but I'm sure glad I ordered to-go! My order was prepped and ready swiftly and too big to eat for just one person so I shared with my neighbor who is recovering from an injury. Literally, don't order a large onion rings if you don't have several people to share it with. Tee hee! Great Job JLB!
