Update- been back twice now . Went to a yelp event and decided I needed to go back so I could actually buy something! Fiance gets butcherbox and i wanted to bring him here so he could compare it price wise and see the selection. He ended up buying 3 different things. Mea checked us out and was super nice and helpful. There was another young gentleman today there but i didn't catch his name(update- DAESHAWN was the guy). But he was super helpful too, we asked if he had any suggestions on how to cook/marinade/season venison and he took the time to explain how long/temp/oven vs stove cooking and also suggested a blueberry marinade. Really wish I had caught his name! I'll have to update this review whenever we go back if we happen to see him again. Store is so well organized, well stocked, great variety in regards to selection, super clean and well lit.

Wild fork is a must try if you like quality fish and meats. They also have some good veggies and side dishes. Like seasons couscous and quinoa. Staff is also super friendly and helpful. This is my go to every couple of weeks when I need some good salmon!

Can't wait to try some things here

Found this great new market from Yelp that opened recently in the Memorial area. Came early for their Grand Opening and found their customer service to be exemplary from Matthew who walked me around the market .He took time to tell me which meats were the best for a Philly cheesesteak that we planned to make later that day. Waited for my Yelpie to join me for the event and within 30 min. The market went from 3 to 100 customers. We met Ricardo from Key Biscayne Miami area corporate who spent a good amount of time with us to explain which cuts of meat were the best for what. We ended up buying items for smoothies, short rib meat, and frozen arrancini for later. They have a wide selection of entrees and even had some smoked salmon flavored with gin & tonic. Definitely worth a visit for their friendly, helpful service and items that would be helpful for your next backyard party . Thank you, Wild Fork, for the great experience and fun swag items went home with for 1st 50 who purchased items and gave email.

Welcome Wild Fork! Though the market is small, they have whatever you need to create a sumptuous meal. All the meats and seafood are packed with love and care, and they are displayed neatly. I love how organized the market is; it cuts down unnecessary pacing in front of the fridges. Wild Fork is definitely one of my staple markets for meat and seafood.

Went and checked out Wild Fork today (TikTok made me do it). Anyways, the store was well organized and they had a nice assortment of meats and seafood. Brandon helped us out and he was amazing! Will be back.

This is the one cowboy that I had to cut. Because it was was 4 inches think. Bigger than when you get Chaina beef in Tuscany!

It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.

Then he proceeded to help every other customer who walked up after me. When I finally asked what was going on, he suddenly told me I needed to get a number--something that was never mentioned when I first arrived. This was rude, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional. There was zero communication, zero courtesy, and no accountability. Watching someone intentionally skip you after you've been standing there waiting is beyond frustrating and disrespectful. Customer service like this is unacceptable. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in a customer-facing role. Management seriously needs to address this behavior because it reflects terribly on the business. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they enjoy being ignored and treated like they don't matter. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Ended up going to H-Mart down the street. Much more professional.

I am so glad that we did because the food was awesome! We tried the fried flounder(special of the day) and shrimp plates. All plates come with two sides and a complimentary tea or lemonade. The beverages are self served so I decided to mix them(delicious Arnold Palmer). We chose french fries, hush puppies, and a veggie eggroll as our sides. Also, we had the fried crab fingers and onion rings. Everything was extremely fresh and fried to golden perfection! Most notably the food wasn't greasy at all which says a lot about their frying technique! The flounder was light and crispy. The shrimp were the best that I have eaten in the city. The hush puppies were also the best that I have ever had. The crab fingers were awesome! The service was excellent! Food came out quickly even with there being a fair amount of people waiting to order. The staff were very nice and helpful. The lady at the front was incredibly friendly and patient with customers. The staff made sure that we had everything that we needed including condiments. Top notch service. The ambiance in the restaurant was very lively but in a peaceful way. The restaurant itself is very small like a dive which I love! It has about six tables which was fine with us because most people were getting togo orders. We enjoyed eating inside the restaurant! The market section has an assortment of fresh fish and seafood for customers who would prefer to cook at home. People from all walks of life were here which is a testament to the goodness of the food! Thank you Chef Chris for the recommendation! I have nothing bad to say about this place. They have been in business since 1972 and I can understand why! If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

Unfortunately there's only one in the city, but it's "centrally" located (get the pun?) off Westheimer and 610 near the Galleria. We frequent this grocery store a few times a month, and though the products are more expensive overall than your normal Kroger or HEB, the selection is amazing and worth the visit. Here's what I love about Central Market: the produce, salads, sandwiches, meats, seafood, wine, cereal, yogurts, bread, coffee, ice cream, spices - actually pretty much everything. Even their flowers are incredible. Now here are some pro tips; listen carefully: - if you want the real, full CM experience, go on a Saturday or Sunday. You'll feel like you're at Costco waiting in line for samples and trying to push your cart without running someone over. But if you want a quiet, peaceful experience, go on a weekday during the day. You have to work, you say? Take a few hours of vacation or personal time off and head to Central Market. It'll be better than your last few vacations. - they have an app and it's amazing! You can save 20-30% each shopping trip with their offers and coupons. Make sure you add the deals in your app before you go to check out. (This part is a little annoying.) - ice cream section: buy the Hellenika Ube coconut. Just do it. Taste it and you can thank me later. It will change your life. If you want to overpay for it, fly to Seattle and find it at Pike Place Market. - stop buying spices like peppercorn and coriander seeds in bulk that are stored in bottles and jars. Go to Central Market and just buy exactly what you need for your recipe. You'll spend 24 cents for this and 58 cents for that, etc. Not $5 for a jar of spices that will lose its flavor or expire after a year. And the big question everyone asks: Central Market or Whole Foods? Whole Foods has way more locations, but CM takes the cake. It's just amazing. Trust me.
