One of the benefits of having a small dog is that she can usually travel with me anywhere I go in…read morethe U.S. However, I was in a situation where I needed to find a place for her to stay for a couple of nights while I was at my best friend's wedding. While I could have probably found a hotel that would allow small dogs, I of course wanted to stay where the reception was being held. My best friend also has a dog, and she wanted to board him as well during the big night. She told me she had heard about this new doggie motel that had just opened. Since I live in D.C., obviously I had to make reservations sight unseen, but they were really friendly over the phone and told me all about the place. I do have to say I've never boarded my dog before (or since), but this is because she's my travel buddy. However, this is partly because it's so hard to find a place that I can afford, but don't feel like I'm leaving my baby in 1) an unattended prison cell or 2) in an open boarding situation where she'd be terrified.. At wags each of the dogs get their own room the size of a walk-in closet. My dog's room had a twin bed in it for her to sleep on, and plenty of floor space. I had the option for the dogs to share a room, but instead we put them next to each other since my dog likes people more than other dogs. When I went to pick them up, the owner gave me the report, and told me that my dog spent hours cuddling with the owners on their indoor hammock. That says it all to me - this isn't a place where dogs get 2-3 15 minute walks/interaction with people per day. No charge for playtime here. These people really love dogs, and I would not hesitate to bring my dog back here. Too bad it's 400 miles away.

They don't let you see where the dogs stay only the area that they want you to see. Our dog never barked until we went here. She chewed up her bed. Something is not right here.

Great Veteran Hospital…read more Friendly, helpful and caring staff. All wonderful from the receptionist to the Vets and everyone in between. We've been going to Stack's ever since we moved into the area and could not be happier with the quality of sincere care from day one. Yes, a total Friends and Family recommendations.

Then he developed a severe limp and they put him on gabapentin, again we called and repeatedly brought him in for exams and consistently called about him having a problem with the drug not helping him. At this point I insisted on xrays and ultrasound be done, they had us do bloodwork and told us if we paid an extra $89 for an official pancreatitis test that would be definitive diagnosis that would give us the result that we needed. They could not perform an ultrasound so we had to take him to the emergency vet on Bridge Street in a Syracuse. Come to find out our dog did not have pancreatitis as the vet said the blood test revealed but had full pledge lymphoma, (his neck and jaw presented with hard nodules by the ex vet) and we had to put him down. The emergency vet said the blood test that Stacks office gave us for pancreatitis was not a definitive test for that. So which is it? So disgusted with the lack of concern given toward our dog. It wasn't until i insisted on testing because I was concerned of cancer that a closer look was finally given by the Stack Vet. Extremely upset that we had to put our dog down. Think twice about going there. They gouge you for pricing and never addressed his health until i threatened legal action.
