I had to leave this review for the Wagon Wheel Restaurant I visited on Thursday! The waitress was perfect, Great Service, and I asked her what sandwich she would recommend, she told me the Club Sandwich was very good! So I ordered the Club sandwich and the Homemade Potato Salad, I can't begin to tell you how delicious this sandwich & potato salad was, it has been a long time since I have actually had a lunch this Good!!! Great place to stop for a home cooked bite. This place is the mid point for me when traveling to Flagstaff AZ.

Great place for anytime food. It's right off the freeway between CA and AZ. Food was delicious and they give large portion. Serving time was quick for even large group of people. My steak and eggs was very nice but the steak was cooked medium rare instead of medium well I ordered. They also served the wrong side but they corrected it immediately after I requested. Watermelon was not sweet at all. Restroom was a bit tiny. One of them clogged. Spacious parking space. read more

This place sux! We were waiting quite some time to be greeted before even being acknowledged and seated. We asked for waters which never came until we had to stop someone else to even get them. The food (sampler, chicken salad and grilled cheese) are absolutely disgusting. Our server came two times throughout the service & one of those was due to me flagging him down asking about those waters we asked for from our original person (female). If you're passing through Needles, this is the place to stop and eat. The restaurant is very rustic with antics and Route 66 memorabilia. The service average. They were very busy so our drinks weren't refilled as quickly or as often as we'd like. I ordered the cornbeef hash with eggs, hash brown, and biscuits with gravy. The meal was super enjoyable! The gravy for the biscuits was very savory, my main critique was that I wish the biscuits were softer. It seemed that the outside of the biscuits had hardened. This little "dive" restaurant is popping. The pot roast is excellent along with their cheddar biscuits. The staff is extremely friendly and the ambiance is rustic. The rest of my family got salads and they said they were excellent. The place is known for their breakfast with hand cut steaks on the chicken fried steak and steak and eggs are the staff recommendation. The next time we pass through, we will definitely try the breakfast. Their menu is very extensive with pasta options, and good comfort food option. read more

Been coming to Needles 8 years now and finally stopped in here. I had taken a look at their Yelp reviews, saw some negative comments but still wanted to give them a shot because the pics looked so yummy. Lots of comfort food here, so many choices. I figured the top sirloin must be one of their specialties so I ordered that. What I got was a piece of crap. Compare this to some of the other pics on Yelp. Couldn't even make it look good. I only managed two bites. Our waiter was nice so I didn't want to complain, I just boxed it up and then threw it in the trash once I got to my hotel. Well, don't know how they got higher ratings? Was not impressed with the food!!! Ordered waffle combo with strawberries, waffle was a frozen waffle, strawberry's were not fresh, frozen!! Had to ask 3 times for more syrup!! The sausage links were a joke, smaller than my little finger!!! Would have thought from the hype of this place would have been much better food!!! The breading on the chicken fried chicken is perfect - not too hard or soft. It has a very good flavor. It surprisingly reminds me of Southern Kentucky chicken fried chicken - that's how good it was! The green beans that same with the chicken were cooked well. They are cooked with grilled onions, so it gave the green beans a nice flavor. The baked potato was baked just right. Stopped here on a recent trip while passing through Needles and I'm glad I did! I love these old Route 66 landmarks and this place had gotten good reviews so I decided to give it a try. Horrible customer service. Passing by the town on our family trip, we stopped by for lunch. Waitress didn't acknowledge us none of the employees greeted us. We were standing for a good minute. Waitress passed by but did not bother seating us down. We were actually greeted by customers there and seated by them. We sat down pregnant waitress finally approaches us and her demeanor was way off, just the everything about her customer service gave us an uncomfortable feeling. We ordered drinks this place made us feel very unwelcome. We didn't want to stay any longer we left and paid 15 dollars for drinks we didn't even touch. Absolutely the worst pork chop of our lives. The waitress was very nice and smiled a lot. When I complain she smiled and said she was down a cook. Is that my problem. I was considering it for breakfast but after this terrible experience I would go for McDonald's instead. You can fill up at McDonalds for 5 bucks and this place is $20.00. That's crazy. Food was amazing, beer was cold. Can get busy, the waitresses run their butts off but always get you taken care of. Had simple meatloaf...but had a hint of green chili mixed in...was unbelievably tasty!! Apparently it was just red bell pepper..we don't get bell peppers like that in my neck of the woods! Visited 10/26/2022 A nice Historic Eating establishment in a small town. Renowned by the locals to be the Best Restaurant in Needles. Lots of homemade food to choose from on the menu. We tried a Patty Melt sadly not great but ok. Had almost no onions so not what a Patty Melt is all about but the ground beef was very tasty. The French Fries we're Excellent. I had the homemade meatloaf dinner. A large serving but I've had better. All the same it's worth a stop if in the area and a nice place to grab a bite. read more

If you are on a road trip, this is the kind of restaurant that you take your family. Pot roast sandwich was good. Onion rings were on point. The southwest salad and pancakes were good but not better than other places. Ambiance was fitting of a route 66 joint...lots of license plates and curios. Not only was our waitress super friendly, but the food was really good- yes it's diner, but with breakfast and dinner served all day, I was able to order a pot roast sandwich at 7 am. I tried the waffle with strawberries, and while tasty, I am grateful I didn't order it myself.
