Topock 66 is such a fun stop and definitely worth checking out! Between the bar, hotel, public pool, and the incredible views of the water, it's a great place to hang out and enjoy the Route 66 atmosphere. The staff was super friendly, the drinks were great, and the pancakes were absolutely delicious! The public pool and waterfront views make it an especially fun place to spend a few hours and relax. Prices are a little above average, but considering how remote the location is, it's completely understandable--and the atmosphere and views make up for it. Great drinks, great food, beautiful views, and friendly people. Definitely a memorable Route 66 stop! read more

We came to have lunch after boat ride. Had a wow beer and a garden salad with chicken. It's was refreshing and so good. Our party was 10 ppl but the restaurant was full so it was rightfully loud. The train noise is absolutely unbearable. The rooms face the railroad tracks directly, and freight trains blast through all night long. We were kept up for hours, jolted awake repeatedly. Good luck getting any decent sleep; earplugs won't cut it against this industrial racket. If you're sensitive to noise (or traveling with kids who need rest), this place is a nightmare. The pool and bar situation was even worse. Hundreds of locals and day-trippers who aren't even staying at the hotel swarm in to drink and party. The pool gets packed wall-to-wall with boozing adults, leaving zero room for our 6-year-old and 16-year-old to swim or play. I guess I should have anticipated this one. So my bad here. Then there's the ridiculous restaurant incident. I brought my empty insulated mug to breakfast to keep my coffee hot. The staff member outright lied to my face, claiming "Arizona law" forbids bringing in any cup--even an empty one. I checked: that's complete nonsense. Arizona's open container laws are about alcohol in vehicles and public places, not coffee mugs in a restaurant. If it's your petty house policy, just own it. Don't blame the government to sound official. The dishonesty left a sour taste. I tried to cancel my second night so I could go stay somewhere else and get some sleep. But they told me I can't cancel the second night because it's a holiday weekend. They said they can cancel my stay but there is no refund. I'm certain they could have rented the room out to somebody else tonight with ease. It's July 4th. It's primarily a party spot. So bring your party, but not your family, (or an empty insulated coffee mug). And absolutely DO NOT expect a good nights sleep at the hotel. I used to love stopping into this place. But after staying at the hotel and having this experience I won't be back again. read more

What a great location! You can see the dock for the boats with beautiful water and the train running behind. The campy decor is so funny. The wait staff is friendly and service is fast. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, the salmon salad and the black beans burger with onion rings. The black beans burger with onion rings were good, but the rest was so so. This restaurant & surrounding property has a cool vibe and is very unique! There is a hotel on site & a small gift shop for drinks, snacks, t-shirts. The restaurant is off the beaten path, it stands alone off of the I-40, it's right on the beautiful Colorado River. There are a good amount of tables inside & TONS of seating outside, the pool can be used while there & during the weekends there is entertainment...this place is BUSY during the summer so be prepared for little parking & a BUSY bar/restaurant...you can't complain if you've read this, lol. We had the French dip & the BBQ TriTip Sandwich, they were both really good, I love their BBQ sauce, I'm pretty picky about that. Our server was Teyla, she was great, so friendly, she reminded us of our daughter. We are from the area & had just never gotten around to stopping there to eat. We booked this place because we were on our way to NM and Vegas was fully booked for some event. What. A. Find!! Topock 66 is someone's realization of a dream place. It has to be that because there is no way this place would exist if it wasn't that. It is on the Colorado River and old Route 66 and the train line. What more could you want? Perhaps a BBQ restaurant? A pool with a swim up bar? A band playing on a big stage all day? A boat launch? A boat rental place? Jackpot to all that. And more. A smallish hotel fully wonderful. The rooms are meant to hold a family for a while. There is a decent sized kitchen, two beds, and a pull out sofa. This really is a great oasis. We loved it and have told everyone who will listen that they should look it up! read more

Stopped here on a road trip out west fun little route 66 stop it was mostly deserted as it was a cold December day you can tell that the place is much more suited to a summertime environment of the service and staff were very friendly and efficient. The ambience was fun party like atmosphere probably a little inappropriate for small children so consider that before going food was great. We had burgers and fries and beer, no complaints. Service was friendly, and our server was great, but unfortunately the kitchen was out of most of the items we tried to order. My steak came out raw in the center even though I ordered it medium, and my partner's chicken was also undercooked. When we raised the concern, the response from the person at the bar felt dismissive, you know those in charge who boss from the bar. It's not about comping a meal it's about making sure guests don't get sick. He had an attitude and really unprofessional. This spot has a lot of potential, but it would really benefit from stronger management and more attention to food safety. I have been here before nothing like this food is not the greatest but ok and cool spot to chill but this time smh and the slowness and them being out of most shit and non quality food at that. Went here during their off season, so it wasn't in full swing, yet it was still a fantastic experience. There was plenty of seating, a pool to hangout in, and tons of food options. Food was great for a quick stop off the road or break from the river. Service was attentive the entire meal helping us pick what to eat while quickly delivering food and bussing tables. We stopped in at Topock 66 during a trip in late September, riding in on our WaveRunner. The weather was about 88° with a bit of that monsoonal feel, perfect for hanging out by the water. We ordered the tri-tip nachos, which were excellent, definitely worth recommending. The bartender took great care of us, and the live band set the right vibe for the afternoon. It wasn't too crowded, which made the whole experience more relaxing and probably gave us better service and attention than you'd get in the middle of summer. We went on a Monday for lunch. It was very busy, but were able to get a table and the server attended to us promptly. It was a bit warm inside as the AC wasn't working and it was 105° outside. I had the Tri tip dip. It was very good. Loved the horse radish on it. I ordered it with Onion rings which were ok. We also had Cheeseburger which was very large, but overall mediocre. We stayed here off season. The price was great, the staff was helpful and friendly. The office wasn't open most of the time but we didn't really need them many times and the few times we did, the gift shop took care of it. The rooms are nice, large and have a fridge, sink, microwave and balcony. Not outfitted with any dishes or utensils was a bummer though. You get a free bag of ice with your stay. One downside is the frequent trains that pass by all night. The restaurant had a good breakfast. We weren't too impressed with our dinners, I had an over cooked, tough ribeye. We went for Thanksgiving dinner and it was solid. Good portions and price. Overall, a good value and cool.place. read more

There were a lot of inappropriate things, like the open-mouth urinals, cuss words on the menu and walls, and tons of giant pictures of girls wearing thongs, showing their booties in a long line. My middle aged boy felt super uncomfortable. We saw the bootie barstools, but the other stuff pushed it over the edge. I wish we had known about it all before we went there. read more

We're staying a singular night here and the hotel room is gorgeous, the pool is to die for, the view is amazing. The restaurant food is not. I got a cheese quesadilla because I read all the other reviews and nobody said anything bad about it so I thought screw it, if there's no reviews it should be good. It was incredibly oily, I couldn't even taste the tortilla or cheese just the oil. After two bites I pushed it aside. Also had the water just normal plain water and it made me gag which is a thing I didn't realize could happen. The other person who's roadtripping with me got the wedge salad with chicken and he also said it was just as disgusting. I'll get to the point. This establishment is a tourist trap. Though the server was attentive, the food is utter crap. Ordered the chili dog and the hot dog arrives looking and tasting like it sat in day or two old water. It was NOT severed fresh. The shredded cheese on top was not even melted. The texture of the bun is dry and crumbled to pieces when bit into. If one is going to f**k up a chill dog, then this place would be it! $18.00 for a scale chili dog- utter disappointment. As for our stay, the water pressure was a weak stream coming out of the shower. Given it's 30 degrees outside, one would expect an establishment within the hospitality industry would have plenty of hot water. Yet, we showered in cool temperature water. One last comment, the railroad track that runs along the establishment has freight trains running through it all night. So we decided to grab lunch while on the river. We decided to hit topock 66 for some food. We've had drinks there before but this time it was for lunch. We got the potato chip nachos and they were super good! We also got chicken strips and a chicken wrap. Both were good but the wrap was way above average. Lots of chicken in it and very tasty. This place is always clean and the servers are nice and attentive. We just wanna know how we can get a pic of us on the wall!
