Went there for a school visit with my son and we attended a football game at the same time. The school seems cozy and the staff is nice. The campus is a smaller campus, but has a homely feel where you have a more personal experience with your professors. The dorms are nice and so are the cafeteria's. You also get a beautiful view of Manhattan. There is a bus that takes you to the ferry and you can be in Manhattan in 35-40 mins, which makes it nice and a part of the student life. read more

My son goes here for theater classes, and I really love how the teachers are compassionate and really love the kids, and take a genuine interest in their education. The campus is lovely, clean, perfect for an evening spring stroll, complete with Starbucks in the cafeteria. Gorgeous views of the V-N bridge and the lower NY Harbor. read more

I graduated from Wagner in '09 and going to Wagner College is the best decision I've ever made. Coming from Cincinnati, making the 11 hour car ride from Wagner was a bit nerve wracking but when I arrived on campus, it just felt like home. You're always going to find something wrong with whatever college you go to. No where will be perfect. But I met amazing people here from all over the world, experienced things that I would have never had the chance to do anywhere else, and all in NYC. I got my job after I graduated because of my internship through the school and really had the chance to develop into who I am today. I would recommend checking it out in person. Wagner is not for everyone. BUT if you are someone who likes to be involved and not just go from your dorm to the dining hall to class and do it all over again, then Wagner can really be the place for you. read more

This college cares the least about their students. We're in the middle of a pandemic and they're forcing students to come back on campus just so that they can get housing money taking no consideration for the health of their students and faculty. Even if classes are all online students are required to take a leave of absence if they cannot afford to come back to school on their own dime. read more

I attend the film department here at Wagner. This school has already provided so many opportunities for me. I got an internship my freshman year and I worked around campus doing film jobs. The connections I made while taking these opportunities landed me even more jobs. I will never forget or regret my time here at Wagner. read more

Hm, let's see...graduated when the water polo team was the only winning team on campus...oh wait, still is. Graduated before the awning was a permanent fixture on main hall and the ivy was still plentiful. Had some great professors, had some quirky stuck-in-a-70s-acid-trip professors, and had some not so hot professors. Slept through most unnecessary fire alarms, I mean really...is pulling it 3 times a night during finals necessary? Ate far too many belgian waffles and visited George for a morning omelet more often than I'd like to admit. Friends and I enjoyed breaking up the monotony of "who sits where" based on the location of the salad bar...loved to confuse our not often bright football team. Stumbled around bars like H2, Van Duzer, Dock St. only underage, partied at the tennis courts, and celebrated oval days with trays of vodka jello made fresh courtesy of the Guild kitchen. Proudly spent three years in the climate controlled Harborview which up until this past year afforded me the best view out of any window ever. Majored in Arts Administration which instilled in it's students minds that we will never work anywhere but the nonprofit sector, here I am years out of school working in the nonprofit sector. You win Wagner, you win. read more

I used to think Wagner was adequate at best but then they took my weekly pancake suggestion into consideration and now I'm living the dream

Wagner College has some good qualities. The campus is absolutely gorgeous. The campus is very green, with a numbers of trees and colorful flower beds all of campus. The library staff is top of the line. They work very hard to make sure you have all of the research material you might need. There are a lot of great professors that really care about the students. The professors will exceed their duties to ensure that the students have a quality education (even though I saw first hand that a lot of the professors were not treated very well by members of the administration). As a student I was however, very disappointed with the integrity of the school. I graduated from Wagner with a greater understanding of capitalism. I mean to say, that in my time at Wagner it seemed that the school focused on covering things up to preserve the reputation and the cash flow of the school instead of really addressing the issues of health sanitation and student safety. Sometimes the financial aid office treats the students like they are the IRS, students must be very humble when going to the Register office, and they are masters at being rude. The dishes in the dinning hall were dirty, crusted food on the plates, also sometimes staff are not at the front desk to ensure the safety of students, when they are sometimes they do not request student id's, allegations of sexual assault are not taken serious enough. Wagner College only 'cracks down' when things get completely out of hand; this is when they can't cover up. This led me to believe that it was more about the money than ensuring the safety of the students. I would never send my children to this school. And to the commentator that said, " You will always find something wrong". Wagner College has many things wrong that can't just be overlooked because it involves people. Wagner College has the potential to be great, but until they treat their staff and students with a greater respect and adapt to a greater level of integrity instead of cover-ups, Wagner College will only be a 'theory of greatness'. But hey I am sure the facade of Wagner College is good enough for some parents and students... Forbes and other big companies who have never gone to the school seem to think the school is divine (in theory). read more
