I'm from the south, so I'm used to.... Hospitality. We have Waffle House, which I had hoped this place would be similar to. I walked in and waited five minutes to have the people behind me greeted. They politely let the host know I was there first. No apology just had me sit at the bar. My waitress said nothing to me besides "know what you want?" I ordered, thanked her. And the only other two things she said to me was "want ketchup? Need a box?" It was insane. The eggs were decent, the hashbrowns were pretty mushy, and the bacon was not crispy. I left it all on the plate, paid my tab, and the staff said nothing. Pretty sad experience when you're looking forward to a good breakfast. read more

Amazing cafe as the name suggests! The food is delicious and well prepared. Good service and a cozy ambience for a Sunday brunch or lunch. We had the cheesecake waffle half portion, biscuits and gravy with sausages and poached egg, Egg Florentine and Fajita Omelette. I generally never indulge myself in waffles or pancakes but I did here! And the cheesecake raspberry waffles were top notch! There is plenty of parking space available. We ended up in Lewiston and needed some breakfast grub. I jumped on the yelp and found this spot. I rolled up, and the parking lot was full. That was a sign of good food. No one packs a restaurant if the food sucks. We went in, and the place was dated and hasn't been upgraded in a while. The staff had a uniform, but they were busy folks. They were respectful and polite. The menu was large and gave you plenty of options. I ordered the meat lovers omelet, and it was so good. They stuffed it with 4 kinds of meat and jack cheese. Visited this last weekend and waited 45 minutes watching what seemed like regulars or family show up after us and get seated. When we finally got to the table I could you not it took another 25 minutes to order, and 45 to receive our food. When our food was done we watched staff just huddle and chit chat as there was stuff waiting for toppings etc and food getting cold. Once we got our food it was outstanding and worth the wait because we were starving. However, I was handed my food and the bill at the same time, is this standard here? Our last day in town came up from California for mutual aid to assist Avista gas outage and came here for breakfast, this is the spot for breakfast. I wish I knew about this place I would of came here every day everything on the menu was good but not enough time to try. We're out here in Lewiston on a fishing expedition with a few buddies. Heading home we wanted to find a breakfast place since we have a two hour drive ahead of us since we're flying out of Spokane. All I can say is all the reviews are true , this place is one of the best breakfast places I've been to. The food was amazing. We had the chicken fried steak with eggs, hashbrowns, and a short stack for the table. Service was amazing. Food was fantastic. This was one of the best breakfast places I've ever eaten at - and it was one of the best breakfast places I've ever eaten at twice and had just as good of an experience both times. The waffles were amazing, and we stuck with the basics. But you could have had all types of waffles and I'm sure they would have been good. Once nice menu option was the ability to order half a waffle. Get the stuff you want without feeling stuffed!!! Who does that? They do. First time in. I ordered a meat lovers skillet and a side of fruit. I was charge $24. The menu says the skillet is $9.29. I was GROSSLY over charged. This establishment is ran by children. My box was also smashed and j couldn't take my box out of the bag because it was leaking everywhere. This is the biggest disappointment I've had in awhile. Save your time and money! This place is a gem. We went there because my husband loves a good truck stop breakfast. I ordered the banana pecan waffle (half order) and he had the standard eggs, sausage, toast, hash browns, and all that comes with a waffle. Everything was EXCELLENT. Waffle batter is so yummy. But the waffles were killer. I had the country fried steak and eggs with hash browns and Toast. Mel had the Iron Maiden, Bacon/hash brown/Cheese omelette with a waffle. Yes the hash browns are inside the omelette. She also had a Red Bull Blast, it's Redbull, OJ, passion fruit and strawberry. It was a blast. I ordered a half Barvarain cream waffle to share, cause I'm a sucker for the Barvarain cream. Mel said the Omelette was bomb, stuffed with Bacon and hash browns. Almost too much bacon. I don't think it was fried enough. The gravy tasted like it was pre-made also. They tried to fix it with added sausage but that's a no go. The hash brown were some of the best I have had. Yum! I'm not a huge breakfast person, but this hit the spot. I got the waffle combo with huckleberry syrup. The syrup is the perfect balance of sweat with the waffle. The sausage had great flavor. Overall, it's a very simple meal with good flavor (much better than it looks plating-wise). The service was excellent and you couldn't get a better price at a fast food restaurant. Found this restaurant in a recent AAA Tourbook with a 2-diamond rating, so I checked it out. This MUST be the breakfast restaurant in Lewiston, as it was packed to the gills on a Friday morning with families, a sports team from Lapwai HS, and plenty of locals. This resulted in a 10 min. wait to get a table, at least, while they were cleaning tables that had just departed. Very friendly staff members. I ordered a plain Belgian waffle with blueberry topping for $5.89. I was surprised to see the size of the Belgian waffle...I figured it would be a few small Belgian waffles ala the Krusteaz ones I get at Grocery Outlet. Nope, one big Belgian waffle with what looked like a bowl of blueberries poured over it. Very good! My pet peeve is they only carry 2% or Chocolate milk. I prefer Whole milk any day of the week.
