Here we go with another Covid19 review...Visiting a Waffle House is a pretty consistent experience. I've visited them in many different states and they are relatively the same. I wish there were more of them in Western Pennsylvania but... I had a quick Sunday breakfast with my wife. All employees were masked up and tables were closed with dividers for social distancing. Our waitress was very attentive. Our drink order was quickly taken and then we placed our food order. I had the All Star with eggs over medium, sausage, hash browns, toast and a waffle. My wife had the all star as well with bacon, scrambled eggs, and the remainder was the same. We were both stuffed and satisfied with our meals. My wife had a coffee and we both had onions mixed in our hash browns and our bill was 20.00. That's a lot of food for 20.00. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

If there were negative stars, I'd use them. POSITIVES~their grits are great Service~much less than acceptable. Meal was brought in plate by plate, we had to keep asking for parts of the meal;sausage,waffle,syrup, drink refills~the young man needs to find a new profession. all that after we sat at a dirty booth, the only one available, took the person 5 mins to acknowledge we were even there, then he wasn't going to wipe it off, AND THEN, he put the napkins on the soaking wet table LOL so we dried it with the tiny napkins they offer. My hashbrowns weren't cooked, and the added mushrooms were actually cold they must have just tossed them in and not run them over the grill. It was a large amount, but they didn't taste good. Went to check out, and it was our server checking us out... I said " you aren't going to charge me for those hashbrowns are you?" since I never ate them, he said "no". Then he charged me for those hashbrowns LOL, he said" oh did you want me to take them off?" I said never mind, We gave waffle house another try, and they failed once again, we won't be back. Sucks there's only two waffles houses near pittsburgh! I love there thin waffles. We make the drive here a few times a year. The location by the outlet mall is always busier then this one. This one is a-lot cleaner and seems more organized. The waitress we had wasn't the greatest. I think she might have been new because she took our order and the table next to us and then mixed them up when she brought it out. I also hate that they don't have an itemized bill. I swear I order the same thing but my bill is different every time. My husband asked for a itemized bill and they couldn't provide it to us. It's simple food made fast. I came in with my son because he wanted some breakfast. The place had 3 other customers already eating as we sat ourselves. Waited over 15 minutes unattended. 0 service. 4 employees working from what I could see. The one waiter was just talking to the 2 college guys seated at the counter. As we left after not being served or even acknowledged, the waitress that was just hanging out had the audacity to say have a good day guys. Never again. Waste of time. If I could give this location less than one star, it would be immediately rated as such. Terrible customer service, employees with attitudes (excuse me, you ARE an employee for a corporate business...calm your demeanor because there's people who are meaner), refuse to do takeout orders because in-house customers are priority..okay that's fine but when we THEN take a seat and still aren't waited on due to the fact we've already mentioned takeout, that's bullshit. I suspect a tad of closet racism from a selection of those employed here.. as a small business owner myself this is totally unacceptable. Your customers are the driving factor. Don't like it? Feel entitled? Don't want to work; yet want to collect a check? Find something else. Our team has contacted corporate over this issue and we will not stop until there's resolve. read more

Looooove this place! I've been going for years for breakfast when the need arises. They're breakfast is always good. They have a new breakfast bowl with their famously yummy hash browns. I get them smothered and covered, cheese and grilled onions. Comes with two scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon, I got sausage. So good, hash browns are crunchy, very tasty, never dry. Covered with melted cheese, onions. Eggs and sausage on top are on point, with a side of yummy, crunchy bacon, a delicious breakfast that hits the spot. read more

i saw the tables an it was atrocious, people were getting rejected service because of all the tables not being thoroughly cleaned. The service was also awful it took more than 20 minutes to get a seat clean an get our order taken. This is horrible! We walked in and every table was taken besides one. A whole bunch of people left and the workers didn't clean the tables. Multiple people walked in and they turned them down and said "We need to clean tables , it's gonna be a wait" and honestly they could've cleaned them because they were like that for the whole time we were there. We sat down and it took them 25-30 minutes to come take our order. by that time they had no customers because they turned them down. it took them like 45 minutes to bring out our food and they only had 2 other customers!!! Our drinks came out with our food. The dishes were dirty , my over medium eggs were SLIMY!! and had a weird film on them. besides that the food wasn't even that bad it was just everything else. The windows were dirty! There was a lowe's plastic bag just laying on the floor. THEY ADDED OUR CHECK WRONG!! everything was such a mess it was just horrible. There was a literal puddle of bacon greese on my bacon plate. i was so excited to go to waffle house for the first time , but this was just foul. Our car was the only one in the parking lot when we left because of them rejecting people service. By the time we left the tables were still filthy!! we didn't leave a tip it was that bad. Food tasted standard and came out pretty fast. Service left much to be desired...i sat down and it took a little longer than I thought it would to have a server come. I went up to the register to order the lady seemed to have an attitude and told me my server would be with me. I also had to wait to pay for my food. Staff seem like they don't want to be there, they talk very loudly about their own personal issues which the entire restaurant can hear. read more

Went with my boyfriend to have a late night dinner , it was kinda of busy and our waitress was wonderful . Her name was Cheryl she was attentive and very nice , the cook made our food so good the best I have ever had there . There was a younger girl there that really upset me , if it wasn't for my great service from the two employees I'd never go back. This young girl kept talking about sex and her nipple rings , she was talking to a group of guys and you could tell they were uncomfortable. I actually felt bad when she asked one of the customers to see onw of his rings , who does that ? They really need to think about getting someone else in there that has more of a filter. If this girl is there we will keep going , she ruined a few people's dinner that night. read more

Our family loves the Waffle House. I had a bad experience here a few years ago and had not been back since. We were meeting family and this was their choice. It was busy but the wait wasn't too long. We were able to get a booth and once we sat down things didn't go great. Our server and a trainee were working together so it was a bit disjointed. Our food came out in 3 separate runs. Sadly there were several hairs coming out of my hash browns, not what I wanted to see first thing in the morning. Sent them back and got a new one without the hair condiments. We had to ask for refills for all of our drinks. Once the bill was presented our servers disappeared. Had to go to the counter to get take out boxes. Staff relatively unfriendly and one was extremely loud. Not completely horrible but definitely room for improvements. read more

The only waffle houses I've ever been to were down south when I went to visit my cousin, so I was beyond excited to find one around here. We must have gotten there right as the shifts were changing because it seemed a little bit hectic when we went inside but we were seated and had our drinks quickly. After we placed our orders the waitress came back to tell us that the previous shift had forgotten to cut potatoes for the hash browns, she was very apologetic and even took some money off of our bill for it so no big deal at all. I have mixed feelings about the Waffle House. When we arrive there was only one booth left. The tables and counter were full. We received hot coffee, which was good, but the mugs could have been cleaner. I also notice that the floors under the booth hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I had the All-Star Special. I thought it was a good value at $7.99. I was happy I could switch out the grits for hashbrowns. The staff was working very hard. The waitress was friendly and we could easily see that the cook was working every minute. A few minutes after we arrive, the place was packed. There are chairs along the windows for those waiting for seats. They were full. My food was ok - basic breakfast food. My husband wasn't as happy with his meal. Service was fast. read more

Words can't explain how much I love the Waffle House. Service is fast, food is great and prices can't be beat! The waffles are amazing and the Texas bacon cheesesteak melt is my all time favorite menu item. The sweet tea is real southern style sweet, and my boyfriend loves the cheeseburger. He will eat two every time we come here. It can get a bit busy on the weekend, but that's to be expected. read more

I have avoided the WH for years, but no more. Proper quick diner open 24 hours, great prices, very edible, and the hash browns rock....scattered, covered and topped ( with chili!). A typical Waffle house setup. We reached at 10:30am and place was loaded. We waited for 10 min to get seated. Staff was courteous. Service was great. My daughters and I were out on a day trip to Luarel caverns, and stopped in for a late breakfast/early lunch. We sat for over 20 minutes and no one would wait on us, although 4 servers all made eye contact with us yet no one would even speak to us. 6 other customers came in after us and all of them were waited on, but still no one would speak to us. Wow. Today, I again made the horrific mistake of sitting down for a "meal" at the infamous waffle house. To start things off I received the worst coffee of my life, despite there being a sign that read "America's best coffee". I took one bite of my eggs and immediately wanted to throw them back up, absolute shit. About halfway through my meal, the worker decided to empty out the grease from the grill right in front of my table, wtf. The rest of the meal, excluding the eggs, was about a 3/5 but the service was very slow. Also when i tried paying they took about 5-10 mins just to take my money. Strike three, there out!!! For the last three Sundays I have gone for breakfast at this Waffle House because I am from GA snd am on a project in Wheeling, WV and its the closest one to where I stay. This place may say Waffle House on the sign but is anything but a true Waffle House. Service is terrible and cooks are incompetent. I ordered the same exact thing all three times and did not come close on any occasion to getting it correct, wait staff will re-do upon request, but really do not care. How hard is it to correctly serve chicken & eggs, over hard, triple plate, scattered, browned not crispy, smothered, chunked, shrooms, and lightly peppered, with rye toast, crispy. You would think it was brain surgery rather than a simple order. Waffle House corporate would be ashamed if they knew. Hopefully, now they do! Will not be back at this location again! read more

They asked us our song, and then played it plus other music for us AND the owner paid for our meal.
