This location always, always takes care of my grandmother who is almost 97. Jason in particular, ensures she has a seat if we have to wait and then escorts to the table when ready. A hostess at a WH with a hostess... WOW!!! Impressed with clean exterior inside and out. Service at table immediately and friendly. All-Star breakfast ordered everything correct and delicious! Follows ups completed, little slow on coffee. Some items cleared as food eaten. Restroom used, clean and had the proper items such as soap and working and hand dryer. Getting off on the exit to locate this waffle house is a treat, you will see what I mean. You do have to loop around to get to access. If you did this at night I imagine it would be much more difficult task. Just be aware. Fast in and out. Great job! read more

Came in on the Saturday before Christmas. Waited 5 minutes for a table which was great considering this place was HOPPING! They had the whole place decorated and clean for how busy they were. Greeted friendly. Coffee was hot. Service was excellent. All the servers were friendly but we had Endy who ours was wonderful and sweet! Husband ordered T-bone and eggs with waffle. I had two egg plate. All came out hot and delicious. It's been awhile since hubs has had a steak cooked SO ON POINT at Waffle House. Seasoned perfect! My plate was perfect too. I have visited this Waffle House before, but I must say tonight I had the worst experience. While the customer service from 1 waitress was a 10 out of 10, the food was horrible. The bacon had to be sent back twice after that we just didn't eat it! The grill was up too high and needed to be cleaned! My son's sausage was burnt on one side and undercooked on the other. The waffles were flatter than pancakes and had absolutely NO flavor. The grits were cold, the only thing I could eat on my plate were the eggs. The highlight of the visit was our waitress Mary. She was very upbeat and positive despite the fact that the cook continuously called her to do other task While she was trying to provide customer service and apologize to Is because the food didn't meet our usual standards. If it weren't for Mary I wouldn't even leave one star! Before we could finish eating what was edible, a roach ran across the table! That was the last straw! We got up, payed for our meal and generously tipped Mary and left! This one star is for you Mary! I won't be eating here anytime soon! read more

Nearly all of the tables were not clean (either dishes or just not cleaned properly) but I counted 7 employees, which were all standing at the counter and one customer. Chose this place because it's open 24hours and we just want to fill our stomachs and stretch our legs for a bit after driving long hours from Florida. Service was good and food was filling. Ok, Second time in one month, here we go: Did not even acknowledge we were there to dine. Wait was more than 15 minutes, left.

If you come and see people waiting to be seated? Stay and wait. It's worth it. I would rather sit 15 to 20 minutes waiting on a table here than go to the one down the street. Same food same place you say? It's the crew! It's the atmosphere. Mostly repeat costumers. The crew knows your name and how you want your coffee, what you want to eat, You'll see CONVERSATIONS going on all over the place with the workers and they're customers! Yes we have our own waitresses, yes the others know and will let them take you even if you not in they section. The older people love these workers. I know I love them. The food comes out quick and tastes good, the manager/cook is outstanding! I order base on if he is cooking or not. I've been coming very regularly for almost 2 years. I'm starting to know the other regulars by name too. The difference is he lets them development relationships with the customers and we come in to eat and talk with a friend. I personally like seeing the different relationships all over the building and when someone comes in how they are greater by they name and when they leave the are told we will see you later of have a nice day. Today they have a trainee she is trying and working her but off. Still learning. None of them has made her fill she was in the way. read more

From our waitress greeting us with "I'm your waitress, if you catch an attitude with me, I'll make you leave. If you try and put your hands in my face, I'll make you leave. I'm your waitress. I am serving you." To the armed security working this Waffle House deciding where everyone sits. We witnessed the guards almost pull their guns on someone bc they wouldn't leave the restaurant. Not sure what was happening on a Friday Night but our experience was bad. The food was ok but the service unacceptable. We seated ourselves, my wife and daughter and me in one of the only clean booths available. No one where in the other booths but dirty dishes were still there. Our waiter arrived pretty fast and took our order but that was the last thing that was quick. I ordered water and coffee and my wife and daughter ordered soft drinks. We did get everything but my coffee pretty quick. After that in about 5 minutes we received waffles and that was good but still no coffee and the rest of my food from the big slam did not arrive. We ate our waffles and still no eggs, sausage, grits, nor toast. After about 15 minutes I asked again about the rest of our meal. We were then told, after investigating, they had given our food to take-out orders. I asked again for coffee and they said they were making some fresh. We finally got the eggs, toast, and Luke warm lumpy grits. I had to get my waiters attention again and ask where my sausages were. I then saw them discuss and the chief began to cook them. We finally got the rest of our food. We received no apology for such a poor experience. We may go again, but not if I see these employees running the show. Management appear to not be present. No sense of customer service was displayed. My suggestion is to travel another 1.5 miles and go to the Selma to their Waffle House. read more

Stopped in on a family road trip from Myrtle beach to NY with a group of 4 Adults And 3 kids. I got the all star breakfast with grits hash brown with grilled tomatoes pecan waffles, bacon and sunny side up eggs. My meal was as expected eggs were good grits were excellent bacon was a bit over cooked edges were burned. In there defense the picky guy with me (My Cousin John did order the bacon well done) he though the hash Browns tasted like Alpo dog food and that the waffle house in Smithfield was in his top 5 worst meals of his entire life. Big statement huh I thought so. Maybe I knew what to expect. Anyway back to the review my wife had the steak and eggs she says it was and quote ok but she ate all of the Steak and eggs so I'm assuming it was not so bad. One of the scariest parts, waitress was not so friendly but in her she did throw all over the men's bathroom right after she took our order. A bit scary so scary that I called after we left to check to see if she was sick and The manager confirmed that it was just morning sickness and she was pregnant. So in closing it is what it is if you want a quick decent 24 roadside breakfast style meal on a road trip down south this is a good option. If you're looking for a five star breakfast.
