Honestly, I've never seen a cleaner Waffle House. My heart breaks when I think that I lived in KY for 9 years without eating at a Waffle House even once. Now that I live away, it is a MUST anytime I'm in town. This trip I was able to enjoy breakfast here twice. My order? Hot coffee with cream, plain waffle with hashbrowns scattered and capped. My reviews are full of waffle, and so is Waffle House. Match made in heaven, am I right. Waffle House is usually really good four star food unless you get food poisoning, which I've never gotten from this location, but several others - in which case it can be one or two or three, and I usually downgrade just because it's a massive chain. But way out in the middle of Kentucky there's pretty much not a lot of good stuff to eat in this area - especially at 2 in the morning - and this place is 24 hours and is pretty good, reliable AF, and there's a reason it has good ratings. It's definitely a four-star location of Waffle House. It would be 5 if it wasn't such a corporate chain. But unlike most chain diners, and chains in general, it still feels like home cooking every single time, and you kinda never get the same meal twice. read more

Store Unit #873! By far, Hands Down, THE CLEANEST WAFFLE HOUSE IN THE U.S. that I've ever been to. Not 1 ounce of waffle batter around the irons! The pans were shiny and at the ready for use. The floors, behind the counter and in the dining room were damn near spotless! The griddle was clean and the staff was awesome and engaging! Stacy, Susan, Terre, April & Larry the cook. First timer in a waffle house. Brad T. warned me about people who works in a waffle house, but upon entering our hostess/server was very perky and sweet. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and it was one of my favorite chocolate chip pancakes I have tasted (4 stars) The service was great. The people who works there seems like they are a very tight knit family and would always watch each others back if something were to ever happen. Everyone seemed very genuine and incredibly friendly. However, the ONLY reason why Im giving it a 3-star (I was even thinking about giving it a 2-star, but then the food & service was great) -- because we were seated where there was a person who was smoking right in front of us. The AC was even blowing right at us and he was even right next to the AC area. I smelled like smoke after leaving the restaurant. Also, I wish the server/hostess asked if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking area. SInce, I had NO idea that smoking in a restaurant was still legal in this state. read more

Stopped while passing through town - great meal and service. Mark was great - good talker and great service. Food was very good.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Hash browns were good. Server credited our bill for complaint of food quality. Cons: Parts of the bacon were not cooked and other part tasted old. Cook had gloves on but touched everything while they were on then removed them and continued to cook. read more

Great southern hospitality at this location even though Kentucky isn't that far south. They even had a table that they remembered the guests from the prior year and made sure that they would be coming back for the same event and coming to the restaurant again next year!
