This is our location for a late night hunger blast. I don't go in with high expectations but they always seem to do a good job. Food is always hot and fresh. Server is truly a hit and miss. Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never having a waffle and a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try. read more

This restaurant has a problem getting the tea & coffee brewed correctly. And then they mix it together. I know that is not how Waffle House coffee tastes. Yuck! The servers seem confused with how to make coffee. Just change locations as this one is not consistent with thier corporate standard. read more

Had to call the county's Health Department after eating here. They have water pouring out of the ceiling through the light fixture in the women's room and the manager couldn't be bothered to go look, there's obviously a burst pipe in the overhead crawl space. That tells me it's gone on for a very long time and they just don't care about a ceiling caving in on your grandmother. Now think about how filthy their kitchen probably is, when they don't care that they have a burst pipe in their ceiling raining down in the bathroom. The food was typical Waffle House. read more

Waffle House was dirty, mother and daughter working were arguing. We paid for our food. Then they turned around and gave us our money back. We drove 7 1/2 hours and stopped because we were hungry. They didn't even explain what was going on and why they decided not to take additional orders after we purchased our food. So unprofessional. Would not stop here again. read more

$12 for eggs that was half raw, undercooked hash browns and a gray lump of something they called meat. Service was so so but in their defense, the place was busy. Best Waffle House in all of the Montgomery/Prattville area. Waffle house is pretty much the same every where you go. What makes a difference, are the people that work there. As with almost all of Montgomery, customer service is an epidemic.... The further away you get, the better you can expect. In fact, there is another WH 1 exit closer to Montgomery that is terrible. My family and I go here ofter for a quick "sit-down" breakfast.... and the staff is CONSITENTLY friendly... every time. If you're feelin' WH.... its worth a few more minutes drive North to stop here. read more

This is one of the best Waffle Houses I've been to and it's largely due to the manager and staff. Great service, with a smile and the ladies worked hard and they still had time to make you feel welcome. The manager (I think) was changing the words to songs and substituting lines that were about Waffle House and serving you breakfast. It was great. The corporate office needs to get down to Prattville and send this staff to other locations and tighten up some of their laggard performers. This staff doesn't take any lip and they have fun in the process. Great job ladies. read more

It's a Waffle House, you get what you pay for & you know what to expect. The late night crew here is a hoot! They don't play around & I have witnessed firsthand the staff throwing out unruly patrons, so be nice or you are leaving without your waffle! The service is friendly, fast and the place is clean. Waited on as soon as you sit down. The waitress already had our drink order taken before we sat in our seats. Quick and very polite. The whole staff is friendly and the cooking was great. The absolute best Waffle House I've ever been to. The staff was awesome. Great service all the way around. The lady that cooked our food sang while she was cooking and just made it a fun experience for customers. And the food was no exception. We've eaten at this location off and on for YEARS. The service and food are either great or completely terrible. It seems dependent on whether or not they've had corporate in there recently! We'd like to give them our business, but when we have to beg for refills when it's not even busy and the servers seem clueless you may actually want a refill because they are busy gossiping among themselves, I figure we can spend our money elsewhere.
