Now my husband absolutely loves Waffle House. We were on the road and looking for some where to grab a bite. Turned into Waffle House in Plant City. He ordered his waffle and I wanted something different. Our waitress suggested their chicken sandwich which comes with bacon. I am one who likes to try recommendations from our waiter/waitress so I went with it. I tell you I am so glad I did. Now it may look simple but I tell you that it was a reeeally good sandwich. So don't sell Waffle House short, the prepare really good food without the long wait.

2 Pork Chops. TENDER and JUICY!

Excellent Pork Chops. Cooked just like I asked them to do. White on the inside, but still juicy and tender. Not dry and chewy like Chops can get when they are overdone. Good helpful service. Gave me 3 different options for a sauce to try. Typically I don't use sauce on meat. I tried A1, Tabasco and Heinz 57. The 57 won easily for Pork. Clean bathroom, but the hand dryer was broken. I informed the staff on the way out. 2, TASTY, WONDERFUL Pork Chops for $5. Can't beat that price! Their coffee ($2.50 with refills included) is always excellent as well.

Stopped in for a quick bite on my way from Tampa to Cocoa Beach with my mom. We sat at the counter and Kayla was our server she had great spunk and very personable! Her service was top-notch. The food was great as always we had the hashbrowns smothered with grilled onions and an over easy egg cooked to perfection.

There is something about making a road trip, Tampa to Orlando, that feels touristy and like you are on vacation. With me, all these trips seem to focus on getting started with one of those breakfasts that is just right. This time my choice was the Waffle House, which sometimes can be a crapshoot; however, this time when I rolled the dice, I came out a winner. Just like any other Waffle House, it is setup like a dinner with booths and chairs surrounded by windows with the kitchen being the center of attention. As I was travelling alone, I did not want to take up a booth so I started for the counter; then I realized, that being 5'4" my legs were going to get tired from setting a stool where my feet would not touch the ground. Fortunately, they had counter style seating with regular chairs that allowed me to sit comfortably. So far, I really liked my experience as there was; no waiting, fast service, and the tables were very clean. All the condiments were clean, not sticky, and filled ready for use. Even though the kitchen in these places is extremely busy appearing to be in chaos at times, the staff never once failed to offer a friendly hello and a smile. I was in the mood for basic breakfast, just eggs and bacon with a side of hash browns. The bacon really stood out with its crispy, savory, and salty flavor. However, it was not crispy where it broke apart and shattered into thousands of pieces. It was just crispy enough to let you crunch through to a chewy center filled with a wonderful savory bacon flavor. The eggs and hash browns were perfect nice, hot, and prepared as ordered. The hash browns were prepared with a crusty top with a tasty under layer of warm, soft potato shreds. With the buttered toast, this was exactly what I was expecting for breakfast. The only thing I would warn against is the sweet tea was so sweet that it would give you an immediate sugar high or potential sugar coma. I ordered my ice tea mixed, half-sweet and half-unsweet; and it was still overpowering.

This was my second visit to this location, and we'll definitely be back - love their breakfasts! Plus, quick, attentive service - perfect for road trip dining. Our server was friendly, kept our coffee mugs full, offered plenty of extra condiments, & gave us plenty of to-go supplies, including a large coffee. Super clean bathrooms, too, although only one of each.

Quick and great service. Plus it's not as ghetto as most Waffle House's. It does get busy on Sunday nights but it's just the usual rush

Their bacon was also cooked well (depending on how you like your bacon) and the hash browns were golden crisp on the top.

The place is big inside and cute. Negatives: food options seem a bit limited, especially if you don't eat pork or lots of carbs/sugar. No fancy coffee drinks. I was going to try their corned beef hash but learned it was from a can instead of homemade. I went for the veggie & cheese omelet (minus peppers). There was no option on type of cheese, just American. The omelet was filled, which was nice, but it seemed at least the mushrooms weren't fresh and were also canned. The grits were pretty good, not sure why mine came in a bowl (which I liked). But my partner's were on the plate with his omelet. He ordered one with sausage, which he said was ok, but he didn't love it due to the type of cheese. We didn't try the coffee as we prefer cold brew or cappuccino, so we stuck with water. Our server was very nice and came back often. This just isn't really our type of establishment, so I do not see us returning or recommending.
