I must say this was the best breakfast I have had all year outside of my own kitchen. Anna's is now my go to spot for breakfast. The prices were fair, customer service was awesome, and the food would satisfy the toughest critic. I enjoyed the pork chop breakfast. It was tender, well seasoned and a portion big enough for two. My Beau enjoyed the meatless breakfast with a pancake. Don't forget to order the sweet tea. You can tell that the staff really enjoy serving everyone who walks through the door. My wife and I have been here three times know. First time my had country fried steak with grits and eggs. She absolutely loved it said it was some of the best She has had 9.2. I had steak and eggs with home fries absolutely delicious the steak could us a little seasoning. It was cooked perfectly 8.7 our second visit She had country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans loved it 9.2. I had the home made meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans very good. One of the best meatloaf it was a thick piece and very well cooked 8.6. Our third visit we both had country fried steak. Very unassuming but a solid diner. The staff was attentive to our wait and made sure we had full cups of coffee at all times. I liked that my son could order a burger at 9 am without any issue. I was easily able to get an egg white omelet and turn my grits into cheesy grits. It was very busy on a weekday even at 9 am. I love this little place. My husband and I have been a few times now - it reminds me of the (good) truck stops my grandparents used to take me to when I was little. Chicken fried steak is great, decent gravy, eggs always cooked properly. Chicken fried chicken portions are huge. The food isn't fancy. It's good 'home cooking'. We went here on our way home for breakfast and regretted it. We walked in and immediately wanted to walk out, the amount of excessive praise Jesus decor was off putting. We were hungry so we sat down and ordered. I got a basic breakfast, it came out as nothing special. My partner got the French toast. As we sat there eating someone in the back area started incessantly banging on something and it didn't stop. It was so annoying we both quit eating. My partner left almost all of the French toast because in his words it was "the worst French toast" he's ever had. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The breakfast item I had was a lot of food and could easily be shared with another person. It is called the " trash bowl." It consisted of a layer of home fries, 2 fried eyes, corn beef hash, smothered in sausage gravy. It arrives and you say to yourself "sh$t this is a lot food!" Lol! Take that first bite and you lose your mind because it is so damn good you cannot stop eating it! My god everything was cooked just right with great favors through and through! I had a Vegetables omelet with home fries and toasted. My brother had a Steak and eggs with home fries and toasted. Both meals are excellent especially my brother's Steak is perfectly cooked. The food is good. The owner/waiter/cooker/cleaner is just lovely, she was by herself in that morning, and had timing to have a conversation with us, clean and serve coffee to the other tables, while the potatoes where in the grill. While on our honeymoon, my husband and I were traveling to Orlando and decided to stop for breakfast. Our very first impressions were that it was a cute hometown restaurant. As we sat down we continued to be more and more impressed with the place. It was so CLEAN. And not just a basic clean, a no speed of dust in sight clean. Don't judge a book by its cover. I peered through the front window to see baskets and baskets of field fresh tomatoes lining the counter and knew I was going in. Anna was friendly, funny and gracious. I asked about a BLT and if if those tomatoes were in it. They were. It was perfect. Lightly toasted bread, crispy bacon, crunchy lettuce and nice juicy slices of perfectly seasoned tomatoes with a good slathering of mayo. I didn't need to add anything. When any eating establishment takes the time and effort to use local fresh products I am all in for tasting their wares. I figure if they care that much about the source of their produce they'll treat it with the same love in making a meal even if it's a simple as a BLT. Arriving here wasn't by happenstance we love to experience the local venues, especially for breakfast it the safest of the three it seems, after sitting in the truck staring at what was before us, we were somewhat hesitant to walk into this small storefront diner located off a mostly empty parking lot. As others have stated it's dated, it's a little homely looking but it is a little cozy also with the old booths, breakfast bar and a few battered tables scattered throughout. We weren't the only customers here, there was a older grim looking gentleman sitting at the bar most likely a local who patrons Anna's on a regular basis, his weathered features seemed almost statue like as he sipped his coffee expressionless likely the way he's starts every morning. Rita's the proprietor it seems, wearing a tattered apron and a smile that's so inviting even though it's oblivious this small café has its challenges, although from her persona one would think things are much better than they probably are. She finally greets us like an old friend would, taking our drink order and making sure we understood the offerings here are only limited to our imagination. The coffee is freshly brewed but stout the half and half struggled to change its color and barely knocks off the bitterness I'm thinking this is what gets the old man moving each morning. Rita returns without a pad in hand to take our orders, I'm sure ours wasn't much different than the ones she's prepared a thousand mornings before we arrived. As I sipped my coffee I could hear the flattop sizzle as the ham and eggs cooked, the crumb filled toaster popped and I knew I was moments away from something special - no it's wasn't the best I've eaten but it was pretty special.
