I went with the Three Little Pigs omelette and it was very tasty. The homemade biscuits and grits were the perfect complement to the meal. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and honestly I wish I could have tried more dishes on the menu. They have plenty of indoor seating and it wasn't noisy at all, which made it easy to relax and enjoy brunch. There's also outdoor seating if you'd rather sit outside and enjoy the weather. Definitely a great spot to check out if you're in Pensacola and looking for a solid brunch.

The place hasn't changed a bit which I love, the bacon Bloody Mary is a must have and you can't go wrong with any of the food items. The Benedict combos are the absolute best so you can have a variety of great choices. I went for the biscuits and gravy to have something more light, but it's still a good size portion and packed with flavor. The staff is always very energetic and helpful which makes you feel right at home. Tons of seating and spots at the bar, with an outdoor patio which is nice when the weather is great. Cant wait to come back again and visit!

We arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning and we were wrong to think that the place would be empty after an early breakfast rush. We were seating upon entering by Brooke who also was our server. The menu is varied and we found out that you can order anything at anytime. We had ordered the Spicy Pulled Pork omelette and Shrimp and Grits. Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

I didn't care for the flavor in the shrimp batter and the fries were heavy coated with pepper. I generally like pepper, but it was a bit much. The grilled pork chop wasn't bad. I will say a $7 charge for a large chocolate milk that wasn't even that good of milk. Maybe we ordered poorly today. Our server was a 10/10.

Get the kale drink - it tastes just like a fruit smoothie but has some many good veggies. The omelette was full of meat and veggies and my daughter's pancake was TO DIE FOR! But that's not what this is about: this cozy corner spot surprised us in the best way. My biker buddy, "Secret Squirrel ~ Filter," had the Reuben and declared it one of his top five--looked and tasted fantastic. As for me (Rider name "1/2 Time") had the Steak and Cheese Benedict: two English muffin halves topped with seasoned steak strips, sautéed bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, pepper jack, two poached eggs, hollandaise, paprika, and herbs--it was delicious and fairly priced. They don't serve alcohol, so I missed a Screwdriver, but the iced tea was surprisingly good (and that's not always easy to pull off). Service was prompt and friendly. The cashier stood out--huge smile and wonderful attitude; I wish I'd gotten her name. Fun moment: she mentioned her dad was Navy and joked about names he told her for us Marines--Reply was yup us to we mostly called them Squids. But when push came to shove we always stood together. One Team One Fight! If you get a chance stop in and when you do tell them a Old marine on Yelp called "1/2 Time" told you. We don't get anything, but they will know that I was true to my word and did leave a review.

My first visit. After seeing all the fantastic pics on Facebook I drove from South Blue Angel…read morespecifically for a Burger. I chose the "Smokehouse Burger", Fries, and a small bowl of the Mushroom Gravy (For dipping Fries)..., A very wise move. The burger was hefty and delicious. It had 3 or 4 slices of perfectly cooked Pork Belly on top of the cheese and lettuce. The sauce was very good... so I didn't ask for Mayo. I always use Mayo... but not today. I used almost all the gravy dipping the "just right" fries. I used the last bite of the burger to sop up the last bit of gravy. Perfect. I will be going back very soon.... probably for breakfast... for Country Fried Steak.. or maybe the huge Enchilada breakfast. A picture of it is on FB today. WOW. Anyway, if you havent been yet..... GO... but be sure you bring an appetite. Lacey was so friendly and helpful. I felt like we were friends, instead of just meeting. I was there about 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. If you go in on Tuesday, Veteran's Day.... they may have a breakfast surprise for Marines ... since the 250th Marine Corps Birthday is Monday, 10 November... but "True Grit" is closed on Mondays. The place is very, very clean. there are several low sit-down table, 4-5 tall tables with comfortable stools, with backs.... and 4 or 5 seats at the counter with the old "tractor seats". Very comorable, no doubt. Okay... that is all. Thank you Lacey

Once greeted, we started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip, which was quit tasty. I had to try the Famous Fried Chicken (Dark) with Collards and Red Beans and Rice. The Fried Chicken was hot and delicious! The sides were way under seasoned, leaving me to doctor them with condiments. My wife really enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy with Mac n cheese and Fried Okra, which added to the comfort food enjoyment. My only wish would be, replacing the loud metal chair's on the concrete floors, which take away from the Blues Cafe Vibe. Glad we tried Five Sisters, but we will stick to our favorites in the future.
