Me and some friends came here after working a 12 hour Night Shift. Sometimes waffle house just hits different. This is exactly what we all needed. Most of us have Waffle House memories of when we go drinking and then you go there after, well a new memory all of us have now is Jenny. This was a nice Waffle House. I went just before dinnertime, and there were two people working. My food came out quickly and correctly, and the workers were hospitable. The cook checked to make sure my food was right. I like to order the chocolate chip waffle because the chocolate chips melt into the warm waffle. The hash browns and eggs were just right. The food was very good, though slightly greasy. The greeter was nice when we came in, but when we left he closed the door in our face!! We were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere we would like.  This is a diner style place with counter seating and plenty of booths in a brightly lit red and white dining area.  The waitress was quick and competent.  I like how they short hand read the order to the cook.  Our food came out fast.  My Texas Cheesesteak Melt had plenty of meat and the hash browns were prepared perfectly.  This is the place for late night eats! read more

This was my first time at a waffle house and I thought it was going to be a smaller version of an IHOP. I love that it is not. Waffle house is a chain company (and that is obvious by the looks of the colorful menu) but it has the theme of an old, small dinner where the cooks and servers salute you with a happy but loud Good Morning when you enter the door and offer you coffee as you sit. The place is super friendly and even though is a chain, this place is full of locals. Is that type of place that people go in the morning with their to-be-at-home clothes.....super comfy!! I love it. I went for breakfast so I will do the review based on the breakfast menu. The menu is small and do not have the variety as the one in IHOP....don't come here with expectations of different waffle flavors because there aren't many. We tried the regular waffle and it is good but not extraordinary. I loved the cheesy eggs with the raising toasts (comes with the butter) and a side of tomatoes and bacon. The bacon was fried at the moment and it came hot and crispy (surprisingly this is not the case in many places I visit) so I was so happy to eat my crunchy bacon!! Based on the other things I saw in the menu, I think I will stick to this same order every time I go. It was so delicious! read more

Not the best experience. Cheesy eggs just had a slice of American cheese laid on top. Not melted in. Just lazy. Galveston location is much better! This is my fourth visit in 3 months to the Webster location. My experience is based on different crews working most of the time. Nothing has been consistent and excellent my order EXCEPT the friendliness of the crew. They have no problem redoing an order. I just should not have to make them do it right. I've been coming to this Waffle House for years, whenever I'm in Oklahoma. The food is always good 24/7 (true of the whole franchise, not just this store). It's fresh-cooked to order, and the ambience has real character. There've been a lot of real characters working here over the years--people of every temperament from cranky to giddily friendly. I've enjoyed them all. Tip big. They earn it. Also, pay attention to the special language they use to give orders to the cook. It is a brilliant lesson in useful jargon. One of my favorite places for breakfast. You gotta get there at the right time to beat the rush. There is always a line for this place and they have limited seating. This isn't the kind of place where you sit and sip on your coffee for awhile after your meal. The service is super fast and they have a quick turn around. The staff works like a well oiled machine, from the person cleaning tables, to the wait staff, to the cooks, to the dishwashers. They are a well oiled machine. I enjoy sitting at the bar and watching the whole process. The restaurant is super clean and not what I've come to expect at this kind of restaurant. They almost always have someone to open the doors for you and someone to greet you and show you to an open table. The service is just top notch all round. They have the best coffee. I never liked coffee until I had theirs and now I'm hooked. They make great waffles, but I think the biscuits and gravy are the best. They slice the biscuits in half and put them on the griddle and then drown them in sausage gravy. The griddle gives it a great texture which holds up well under all the gravy. For $3 you get 2 biscuits halved and covered in gravy. I don't think I've ever actually finished an order they are so big. I have to mention that the last time we were there we received not so great service. We sat down at the bar and a few minutes later a man sat down near us also at the bar. The waitress came up and told us she'd be with us in a minute and then proceeded to serve the other customer. I said something to my husband about it and I'm not sure if anyone heard me, but another helpful young waitress promptly came up to take our drink order. The original waitress who was helping the other customer scolded this helpful waitress and said she would be right there to help us. The helpful waitress whispered something to the first waitress and which prompted her to apologize to us for not helping us first. It was all a bit awkward and I felt bad for the young waitress who was just trying to help and displayed great customer service. Then our waitress messed up our food order a bit. I ordered a side of sausage well done because I like it crispy. My husband's meal came with bacon and it came well done instead and my sausage had no crisp to it. His bacon was almost inedible and I usually like bacon crispy. It was so crisp it crumbled in your hand. Hopefully next time we can sit in the section of the young helpful waitress. read more

I'm not sure if I have ever been to a Waffle House, if I did it was too many years ago to remember. I was very impressed with just about everything. Their All-star special was a great value for the money, the food was cooked quickly and just the way I like it! I asked for crispy bacon and this is the first place that all 3 pieces were done perfectly. I think I will make this a regular stop on my breakfast days out! My husband and I ate there on Sunday night--hadn't been there for a long time and now won't go back. The meal was awful. The ham and cheese omelet was cold and look like a blob on the plate. The hashbrowns were burned and supposed to have cheese and onions. No onions and a slice of american cheese was just thrown on the top. Grits were nothing but lumps. Waiter never came back to the table and besides us, only 1 family of 3 in there. Wasn't like it was busy. It wasn't. Had to go to the counter and ask for a coffee refill and another jelly because he never came back to the table. Husband's steak wasn't cooked the way it was ordered and was cold and tough. We love the food here. We eat here several times a month at least. A lot of the waitresses are wonderful here and so sweet! But some of them could really use an attitude adjustment. All the food is great! read more

The staff and especially management in this store need to be done away with. They are always out of something (poor stocking). There is hardly ever a manager on site and when there is they are not available. My daughter worked here and they refused to pay her properly by denying to fill out her tip sheets on each shift and making her clean up without getting paid for that time. read more
