Again with the half stars... I feel everyone wants one, or is it just me? I get this Waffle House 2.5 stars. My waitress was actually a 5 but the overall experience was very Waffle House. I came here because I was waiting on my new tires from the shop across the street so I figured I could grab a coffee and a waffle while I waited. The place had a few both with customer and it was pretty quiet when I came in. I grabbed a seat and I was quickly greeted by my server and offered drinks. I gave her my ordered and she quickly did her thing. I looked around some and then started to write. The food came very quickly or I write slow, I didn't even finished 2 pages and she was coming in with my food, ha! The food was not the best honestly. I told the server to add cheese to the eggs and I think the cook didn't want to forget to add the cheese that he forgot to add the eggs and he forgot to add the cheese on my hashbrowns. I also requested them extra crispy. I asked for medium bacon and the server wrote it and called it (heard her) and I got extra crispy bacon. The waffle was burnt once so it didn't come with the food and the second one was a bit undercooked. I think the cook was a little confused on the "extra-ness" of my order . Also, one employee really needs to remember that the back of the house is also the front of the house. I'm all for having fun at work, but when you are louder than all the customers that are present, maybe the volume should be at least the same. It was very Bon Qui Qui to say the least . $11.25 for this meal is really not worth it. So overall I give this place a "I only come here if I must" category. Visit with caution.

I agree with my fellow yelper that the service is fast and good! Always friendly and not one complaint from me yet about the food. The fact that's is close by just adds to the enjoyment....it dies get packed fast, the earlier you go the better ! Will keep returning..

Our food was delicious. The French onion soup was incredible with plenty of onion and cheese. My husband ordered the pork chop which he said was flavorful. I had the crispy salmon which was also very good. The rice that came with it was bland and had no flavor. The asparagus was good. We had a darling server named Katie! Her personality and attention to us was excellent. My reason for only 4 stars is due to the fact that my husband made a reservation about two weeks prior. We had a "reserved" table in the back of the restaurant by the bathrooms. Very disappointing as there were plenty of other nicer seats. I was also disappointed as two entire tables near us were taken up by several employees who were rolling silverware and napkins and talking about their hours and other people. This should not be done while guests were dining. While the food was decent, we do not plan to go back.

I'm so sad that I didn't take a picture but I have to leave a review anyway. However, in the same breath I've never been mad at a meal there. The black and blue steak pasta, the meat could be a higher grade for the price. However the sauce carries the dish! The whipped feta dip, with the hot honey you'll never miss. Best part about this place is they have bottles of Amstel Light, and can make an awesome old fashioned! Our experience was awesome!…read more Our server ( sorry, I cant remember her name, but she had blond hair). She was the sweetest server and always kept checking on us. I had the Trout plate which was actually salmon (the server explained everything before I decided on my order). This was a perfect size, perfectly cooked piece of salmon that I can honestly say was the best I have had at a restraunt!! It was layed on top of a bed of yellow and green squash and halfed green olives all cooked in the perfect season for this plate. My husband had the pork chop which Im not a pork fan, but I can say it was very tasty and moist. It was served with homemade kettle chips and a bowl of baked beans that my husband and I agreed could be made into its own meal if the bowl was bigger because tge baked beans were out of this world. We will be back 1000% to try some more options and if they are tasty as these Farm House will be added to our top 5 restraunts in Nashville and we will be bringing company that visits us in TN to this restaurant!! My bad…read more Etch sits on the corner of Demonbreun (demon brewin' LOL) and Almond Street (between 3rd and 4th). A fairly small, upscale restaurant led by chef Deb Paquette. Prior to the tax hike, they had one of the best happy hours in the area. Still some good things on the menu, but my favorites, like the duck tart, are gone. Very small bar in the front, unlike Brick Tops across the street. This means there is not a lot of room to wait for a table, so definitely consider a reservation. The main dining room is through a doorway to the right. This space is roomier with ample glass to give it a nice open feel. The food? One of the best meals in Nashville. I have been here numerous times and the food never disappoints. The wait staff will detail the chef's special of the day and these are often the best way to go when you visit. The grilled Filet is excellent, but they also have osso bucco, a proscuitto chicken roulade, and Venison on the menu. For appetizers, the roasted cauliflowere or mezze are great for a lighter start. Labm meatballs are esquisite and, outside of the duck tart (now gone), the smoke carpaccio is my go to. For dessert, I am torn. The Chocolate Mousse bar is decadent, but I have had a thing for New Zealand Pavlova since I first tried it in California. For happy hour, they have 3 cocktails for $9. The tempura mushrooms, fried brussels sprouts, and roasted cauliflower are all good, but I miss the duck tart. I did mention the duck tart, right Deb?

The restaurant was already half full, creating an energetic buzz throughout the room. What struck me was how lively the atmosphere felt without being overly loud. While other restaurants might have felt noisy with that many diners, this one simply felt alive. They've clearly figured out how to create a vibrant atmosphere while keeping the noise level comfortable enough for conversation. Our server, Reagan, was friendly, courteous, and attentive. She took our drink order and promptly returned with two waters and two mimosas, made with freshly squeezed orange juice. What a delightful way to begin brunch! Mom ordered the steak and lobster Benedict and loved every bite. I opted for the classic eggs Benedict, and both dishes were served with roasted potatoes. Afterward, we treated ourselves to the donut rings, accompanied by three delicious dipping sauces: chocolate, raspberry, and vanilla. Yum! I'm a frequent diner here, and this restaurant never disappoints. The food and service are consistently top-notch, and that's something I truly appreciate. There's a certain comfort in knowing that every visit will be just as good as, if not better than, the last. Comes with jalapeno hot sauce - don't be shy, it's more slightly tangy than spicy and it perfects the delicious deviled eggs. Appreciate that they're generous with the glazed bacon. It must have been a carry over from the previous evening is all I can imagine. Anyway, if it's on the daily specials, order as soon as you see it! The front of the building was elegant and well lit. The hostesses greeted us warmly, and with our reservation we were seated within five minutes. The crowd was dressed in business casual, which set a nice tone. The one drawback was the noise: the main dining room was louder than I'd expect from a fine dining spot. Then again, it's downtown Nashville on a Friday night. The Staff Every staff member we encountered was polished and professional, exactly what you'd hope for at a restaurant like this. Our server, Yay, was exceptional, an absolute joy. She was kind and knowledgeable, and her balance of professionalism and playfulness was spot on. The Food and Drinks Nearly everything we ate was delicious. The smoked old fashioned was one of the smoothest, most refined I've had in a long while. The Tomahawk was cooked to perfection, and the sides were excellent across the board, with one small exception: the potatoes that came with the Tomahawk were on the bland side and could have used some salt. That's a pretty easy fix, and it was the only miss of the night. Otherwise, the chef and kitchen were right on the mark. The Verdict Would I come back? In a heartbeat, just maybe not on a Friday night. Three thumbs up, and thanks to the staff for a memorable evening. Chef's miss? Not even close. This one's a Chef's Kiss.
