Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never having a waffle and a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try. read more

This is probably the best Waffle House on the planet. The food was perfectly cooked, and I can even say the grits were good. Our waiter was excellent- friendly, helpful, and checked on us several times. I will definitely stop here again as I pass through this area. read more

The food is good most of the time. They're new crew started answering the phone for orders so I've been really pleased with that.

I wish I could give 0 stars for customer service. After a long day of driving I decided to come to Waffle House on Magee ms. I called to make a to go order but no one answered for me. I went inside to make my order and was not helped. After a few minutes someone FINALLY told me they would be with me. I then tell her I want to order to go and she skipped me to go to the person behind me. She finally gets back to me and I order and ask if I can pay now, I was told "No I don't have time to ring that up, it's others in line." I turn and look behind me just to see that it was two people (who were together). I will not be coming back to this terribly unorganized place. read more

Yea never again Waffle House. At glance all the windows look like they haven't been cleaned in a couple years. Not only was everything raw and burnt out server had a mental breakdown in the middle of her shift and brought it out on a guest for sure do not recommend not even if it's the only place open at the time. read more

After midnight with this Waffle House is very much a gamble. Tonight 3 employees were working, all of which very young adults. However, they were old enough to know basic do and donts. My husbands order was completely wrong. My grits were frozen in the center. My biscuit was a hockey puck. I didn't receive any refills. And to top it all off, all of the employees left the inside of the restaurant, leaving my husband and I alone. He was very tempted to just get up and leave without paying. We waited awhile for them to come back in, paid, and left. I hate to leave negative reviews but if you're traveling, it's probably in your best interest to hit up the next Waffle House on the road. It's really a shame too because this WH was amazing at one point. Hopefully they can get it together again. read more

This place is disappointing. The staff will not even pick up the phone for an order. I called at least 4-5 times. However, when I ride up to the establishment it is fully staffed with very few patrons?? I will not try to order from this place again. read more

This place was really great with the food and the service is great for kids and the smell just fills the entire place with happiness and was a great way to wake in the morning. And a great way for the entire family to meet each other at it for a special event and what's good is that you can clearly see how they make their food so that they can't sneak any bad chemicals in it but it's not like they would even think about that. So that is it just a place to get great food just like Bob's burgers. read more

Absolutely never disappointed!! The lady on the grill is a master, shes running that joint like it's nobody's business.

Waiter didn't even hardly speak. When asked a question he just stood there looking at me. Place is unclean. Managers rude notes to employees are visable from booth. Ordered coffee and they had no creamer so I asked for milk and he literally brought me maybe a tablespoons of milk for me and my husband both. read more
