Service 10/10 with Cassie and the crew Vibes = High Decent chicken sammie ngl, but the all-star combo seemed to be most popular. Dine in, 12:30 am, on August first celebrating a birthday and not disappointed.

Showed up at about 6pm, and the place was practically empty. (Dinner time is the best breakfast time.) James took care of us. Food was top notch, and service was stellar. Best waffles, cleanest restrooms, and best service of any Waffle House we've ever visited. (And we've visited some Waffle Houses.) Absolutely worth the 8hr drive from Ogden, UT.

What a great place to eat the service was fantastic. The order was up in just a matter of minutes probably the main reason why there was nobody else there.

If you have been to a Waffle House before, you know what to expect. This review is more about the service at the Fort Collins Waffle House. Adam, our waiter, was awesome. We arrived from a long drive and he greeted us with a friendly smile and helped us out with such positivity. He was very patient with us. We were tired from our drive, yet his personality helped energize us. The service was excellent Steven, the cook, was equally excellent. He was also very energetic. We spoke with him after we were done with our food, to compliment him. He was very positive as well. Both Adam and Steven make a good team. Like I mentioned before, you know what to expect when you go to a Waffle House, but the service at the Fort Collins location was beyond excellent.

Good place for a larger group as they have plenty of space to push tables together. The indoor decor and feeling is very relaxed and comfortable. On our last visit we had Derek as our server and he did a great job! The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. They seemed short handed as it took until 15 minutes later for us to be able to let someone know we were there for our reservation. We were then seated in a side room of sorts. Our server came and welcomed us and snagged our drink order while we looked over the menu. A while later he returned with our beverages and took our food order. I chose to enjoy a glass of Sparkling Rosé by Gruet out of New Mexico. Lovely. The decor is an interesting mix of things. Odds and ends that come together to be their vibe. They have lots of great plants throughout the building as well. Our food arrived and we enjoyed it thoroughly. I chose to get the shrimp and grits. I added on a side of their collard greens. Those were delicious. the shrimp was well seasoned and grilled on top of some lovely, cheesy poblano grits. Two basted eggs crowned grits with a crispy tortilla strip garnish. My friend gave me her slice of focaccia toast. That was hearty. Being that we were in a side room and no one else was seated at the immediate tables, it was easy to be forgotten. We had to flag down our server to get our check so we could head on our way. I do understand how hard it is when short staffed. Overall solid beverage choices and great food. The staff is very pleasant.

We have eaten twice at The Emporium now; last Thanksgiving (2025) and Christmas dinner (at noon)…read more My wife and I used to go to The Broadmoor for Sunday Brunch, but they lost us last year after an abysmal meal. Adding insult to injury, no one seemed to care when I spoke to management about it. The review for The Emporium is much better because 1) It's IN FORT COLLINS, and 2) The manager, "Michael", is somone who cares. On both occasions there were a few things "off" about the meal. On Christmas day, the sea bass was dry. I felt bad for the poor sea bass that gave its life for a meal, only to have it prepared and served without a white sauce. This is a small complaint though, because everything else, from the silver chafing dishes to the spotless tablecloths and napkins, was top notch! On Thanksgiving Day, the place was PACKED. This time around, the collection of locals was rather sparse. I suspect this was because of the way the meal was priced the first time. On Thanksgiving, I felt positively gouged. There was a 20% service charge added for the servers, and a 3% service charge for the unseen "people in the back". Keep in mind that this was a buffet, which, if a mandatory tip is required, usually garners 10%, mainly because the servers' job is minimal. I certainly would NOT be expected to pay the busboy's salary! As you might imagine, an unexpected, mandatory tip of 23% left a bitter taste in this ex-waiter's/business owner's mouth, especially since the dinner was $75 each. I believe that if management cannot pay their "back people" decent wages, the perhaps the situation should be reevaluated. Nonetheless, we went back for Christmas dinner. The carving station at the end of the chafing dishes was nice . . . the ham was tender and moist, and the filet mignon (this time) was, as well. On Thanksgiving, the filets more closely resembled shoe leather. I worked at a country club for at one time, and they had many more chefs, I would imagine, than The Emporium had. Plenty of professionals paying attention to details makes sure that sort of thing doesn't happen. There was plenty of food, though. The potatoes with onions (or, was it the mac and cheese?) was disappointing, as there was no onion flavor to be found. They were "OK", though. I just didn't have seconds. The manager, "Michael", came to our table on both counts, after I mentioned to our server (who asked "How is everything?"). I regretted saying anything the second time, because the sea bass was such a small part of our meal. As I told Michael though, "If you are not aware of a problem, you cannot fix it". He totally agreed, and as a good manger will do, took it in stride. One other bright spot was "Hannah", who assisted me by taking a photo of our party in front of their bee-yoo-ti-ful Christmas tree. I will include the photo, just you can see the tree and winding staircase. Hopefully, they will have another brunch soon, maybe at Easter, so we can enjoy another delicious meal served at a local restaurant!

We started with a beer for my husband and a mocktail for me. The mocktail (blueberry lemonade) was simply not worth the $7 price tag. Mostly ice - filled to the literal rim of the glass. So full when I took one of my first sips, ice fell to the floor. There was just a splash of ginger beer; it could've used more but, alas, no room with all that ice! When I mentioned it to the server, she explained that's how they make them. She offered to bring me another, but it seemed clear she meant I'd be paying for it. No thank you. Next, my food. I tried the salmon burger (new to the menu, I'm told) which is actually a salmon croquette on a bun with some lettuce and vinaigrette. It's HUGE and not in a good way. The first few bites were okay, and I thought the heavily breaded effect was due to biting into the edge. As I continued eating, though, most bites felt like a mouthful of bread. I can only hope there was minced salmon in it, but the ratio was so heavy on breadcrumbs that I couldn't detect it. Not the slightest hint of pink on the inside either. I ate about 1/2, my hungry hub finished it. The flaws of the salmon burger didn't seem worth pointing out to the server after the response I got with the drink. Later, as we walked around downtown, I felt like I had a lead sandwich in my stomach. My husband had a better experience than I. His bison burger came out great. No complaints. Unfortunately for me, I think I'll just have to order very specific things when coming here now. Austin's has sentimental value for me - it's the first place we dined after moving here 27 years ago. Because of that, I keep giving them second chances after they fall short. I just wish they'd return to the days of "you can't go wrong", everything is awesome.

The portions here are generous without sacrificing quality and taste. The food is always flavorful and prepared as ordered. The beignets are served hot and fresh and heavily dusted with powdered sugar. The beignets are a must! My favorite dish to order is the cajun omelette with potatoes. The omelette comes with spicy sausage and diced ham in creole sauce. You have a choice of grits or potatoes. Pro tip: Add their creole seasoning to your meal for an added flavor kick. It also comes with a buttermilk biscuit with their homemade jam. The restaurant is very quaint and has a homey vibe. You'll find Mardi Gras beads and Creole posters/memorabilia throughout the restaurant reminding you of its roots and culture. Of course, I'd love for the space to be a little bigger, but for the most part, it's manageable. The space is small and it does get busy so expect a wait. Service is great also.
