By far one of the best Waffle Houses. I come here multiple times a month. Great service and incredible food. Quick too.

Waffle House is always a hit or miss when it comes to both service and food, and this location was no different. We stopped in with family visiting from Brazil, and this was their very first Waffle House experience, so we were hoping for a smooth visit. After we were seated, the server let us know that the cook was going on break, so there would be no cooking for a while. That was a bit surprising, but we understood and asked for drinks while we waited. While waiting for the cook to return, we noticed other staff members going into the kitchen and cooking food for other customers, and one staff member was even making a beanie at the counter, which made the situation a little confusing and frustrating. Once the cook returned, our order was taken and, to be fair, the food came out good and tasted exactly how you expect Waffle House food to taste. Overall, it was an okay experience. The food did its job, but the service and communication could have been handled better--especially with it being someone's first time visiting. Like most Waffle House locations, it really depends on the day and the shift. Ambiance, it's Waffle House! read more

Waffle House - Diners Near Me - Ellenwood, Georgia

I am writing (typing) this review in my car here just after my late night dinner (4/3/14 @ 10pm) that I needed just after class and while here I ordered the pork chops, house salad and hot tea to drink. My server who didn't tell me her name, took my order and just didn't seem happy, but smiled after I joked about how cold it was. She brought me the hot tea and salad with two dressings, I gave her one back and she says nothing. Later the cook, who's name is John and is a older gentleman who seemed much more pleasant, was the one who gave me the food. While I was eating my server took care of some Togo orders and sits down on the other end. I'm eating and she drops off the check on the table without saying anything and sits back down. I look and she's just chilling and never comes back to check to see if everything was okay, she did not offer me more hot water for the tea, ask if I would like anything else, or even clear the table. I finished the salad and while I was eating the pork chops, the empty salad bowl sat there filled will rubbish. I wrote on the check a comment to "check on your guests more often" and left leaving cash on the table. The bill was $11.97 and I left her $5+ change, which she obvious didn't deserve this time, why give 42% as a tip? Hopefully she"ll be in a better mood the rest of the evening, or feel guilty enough to do a better job and be on her A game, but that all depends on if she is usually like that. I'm all about good karma and believe what goes around comes around. As of now, I'd never come here again. In all honesty, this was by far my worst service experience at a waffle house. Usually the staff at most places are friendly, ask if you need anything and have a good attitude. Clearly this server doesn't like her job. I had jobs that I didn't like, but still worked hard because I knew that was just what I was doing at the time and was not going to stay there. The cook guy here, named John was working hard and was preparing all the orders. There was only two servers at the time, mine and another one who was talking to a senior lady, she seemed very easy going and friendly. Cheers! read more

Waffle House - Bones and fat - Diners Near Me - Ellenwood, Georgia

Worst waffle house ever. Sunday evening. 8:45pm. I walk in, every one sees me. I sit. I look over menu. I return to social media and wait for server. I start looking around. I'm ignored. I stare harder. Next, a young lady told a guy to come tell me something. He comes over and tells me "the grill is off for the next, eeerrr, maybe, uh, 20? minutes". If they cook my food now, it will be contaminated, he says. Nothing else. How is this one in operation. I hope they figure life out before they go further. read more

I've never had a bad experience at this location before today. I pulled up the store and tried to call in a to-go order. I have recently been doing this because it is easier to communicate without a mask on. The man on the line stated that they were too busy to take an order over the phone and to come inside. I looked in the window and only saw 3 people. It was likely that he was too busy to take an order and didn't want to be bothered. So I went elsewhere and even though they were busier, they were able to accommodate my call. It will make me think twice about stopping there in the future. read more

I Just pulled up around 330 am employee outside smoking cigarettes and weed...... all 3 of them and the reefer smoker tells me it's going to be like 30 mins before we get to you. Don't worry I won't ever be back read more

Waffle House employees are usually cool but the light skin girl there with the crooked wig had the worse attitude ever. She said it was only to go when there were clearly people eating there. I asked for a coffee she gave me a to go cup with a straw ???? I asked for a coffee lid and she said she had to wash dishes before she could give me the lid. I felt bad for her cause honestly the tip I was gonna give her could've changed her whole day. Worse customer service I've experienced in a Waffle House period. read more

I am a truck driver and was laid over. Parked at the QT next door. Came over for some food. The second I walked in. Everyone was very friendly. My server got right to me. They made me fresh coffee and by the time I had my coffee mixed with my sugar my food came out. Hot fresh perfectly cooked. This is the best Experience I have ever had in ANY Waffle House. My server was awesome his name was Chris. read more

The food is standard Waffle House fare, but the staff on the Saturday that I visited was far more interested in interacting among themselves than providing service. An inattentive waitstaff is something I can handle, an obnoxiously loud inattentive waitstaff is something I'd rather avoid. My simple order (cheesey eggs, bacon, raisin toast, grits) came out in stages. Eggs/Bacon, then grits, then toast. I asked for the butter-like goop for my grits, and my server did not remember this on his next 3 visits. He finally did remember, after I had decided that I should eat the grits before they turned to mortar, and to his credit, he brought me a side dish of more grits so the faux-butter would at least melt. The restroom was servicable, the store was clean, and there were no unbussed tables. A little management oversight or secret shopper would probably help this restaurant. read more

I've been here a lot of times and this is the worst time ever. Serving people with bad attitude, the girl who took order didn't tight her hair up and even let it touch the plates. I came here to eat and paid for my food, not begging for it so please serve people with better service and attitude PLEASE !!!!!! read more

Horrible horrible service so I go in around 2 or 2:30pm on feb 18 2023 to get some food from this location 2835 Forest park pkwy in ellenwood ga plus took a friend who works @ this location 2 get her check and as I'm entering in the Resturant don't know 1 say anything 2 me @ all every 1 just looks @ me like I'm a fish in a bowl. So I'm literally standing @ the counter 4 10 mins as I'm watching this little roach crawl on the counter still no 1 says anything so finally this lady who has a bob or wig light skin black lady stares me down finally comes and ask me if I been helped and of course I have a little bit of annoyance 4 standing there that whole time and no 1 saying anything 2 me so I give her my order and when everything was done I paid for my meal no I didn't tip any 1 because of how I was treated and the long wait with no communication asked if I needed anything and I said yes the silverware she then tells me they have no silverware so I'm like ok so make a long story short my friend works there so I asked her to go get me some since she had 2 go get her check so when she comes back 2 get in the car I ask where's the silverware she said that they didn't give me any because I had an attitude!!! So I'm like really really y'all made me wait 4 over 10 mins with no saying hello or whatever the case was so I get penalized and dont get any SILVERWARE because I have an attitude ok then she tells me well they were doing a shift change!! They have it in the back but the lady didn't want 2 walk back there and get me any I guess since I had an attitude Well I'm so glad that I'm a paying customer and i get penalized 4 a shift change no 1 speaking 2 me or communicating what's going on I'm just standing there like Michael Jackson in thriller, so professional 2 treat a guest like that!! Resturant was nasty roaches crawling on the counter in plain site tables had food not wiped off floor was sticky and had food on it when u walk in so I had 2 step over that so I didn't slip or it stick 2 my shoe. I should've taken a pic of it and call the health dept!! Waffle House won't get another dime from me fr fr!! Ridiculous ridiculous read more

Food is economical, but the waitresses have some attitude! Today my mom and I went around noon on a rainy day, and there was not much clientele and the floors were filthy with trash like napkins and food. The waitresses were just around talking while we sat at a dirty table. When one young waitresses went over to clean, she did immediately take our order, and we didn't wait long for the food to come out but all the food, drinks, and utensils were placed in reaching distance from my 1yr old brother. Most waiters have some common sense to place it away from children. She never went to ask for refills or ask if we needed anything after delivering our food. Then she had the audacity to look over to see how much her tip was going to be. So rude. Much better service at the Waffle House of N.Henry! read more

If I could rate it a zero I would.... Unprofessional, rude, no southern hospitality, me kids and I waited for 10 min and not one waiter/waitress even acknowledged we were there... The workers act like they own the place, if you go here your customer service will be terrible trust me and go somewhere else. read more
