Where else can you get a nice hot freshly cooked breakfast at 2:30 am? Not many places in my opinion. If northbound, after going under the overpass, turn right onto the access street as if you are going to the car wash. Then another right turn on another access street to get to the parking lot entrance. If southbound, turn right off the frontage road. First time at this location. Table and bench seat was filthy. Asked waitress to clean and she wiped table off with a dirty rag that left the table worse than before I asked. I actually had to use several napkins to wipe the table down. I placed my order. I get the same thing at every Waffle House. I don't change my order. I asked for (5) scrambled eggs with cheese, double hash browns, white toast and sweet tea with easy ice. When my order came to the table, the eggs had no cheese, I tole her and she said she didn't hear me. She sent it back and the cook added cheese and when she brought the plate back, the eggs looked horrible. I told her " this looks horrible and is definitely not Waffle House style and told her I'm not eating that. She took it to the manager and said they'd redo my order. By then I was so disappointed with everything that I canceled my order and left. My order was a simple order. Hire more competent people and you'll get less mistakes. Wish they had these cafes in Cali! I've been to 3 locations here in TX; They never miss, the customer service is always tops, the food is always served hot & to order, parking is set up for ample accommodations & overall, all their stores are thoroughly cleaned, including the kitchen area & restrooms. Waffle House is always a great late night pit stop or brunch place. The server we had was great and although one of our extra dishes was forgotten, they were quick to correct the mistake and get it out in a timely manner. The atmosphere is a little messy and not the cleanest, but for me food and value is top priority. The interior was also decorated for Halloween which was cute and had lots of UNT deco. I ordered the All Star Breakfast with the waffle, bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and toast. It's safe to say I could NOT finish it because the portion was huge. I love how this plate comes with every iconic breakfast food and is enough to fill up almost anyone. I also tried the Hash Brown Scramble and it was also good but I prefer the variety plate. This was my second time going to a Waffle House and it was even better than the first. The staff (Kate) and the manager were fantastic. Helpful, funny, attentive and kind. They made dining a real treat. Food was bomb. Fast and tasty as advertised. They were playing some sort of r&b playlist and I got my LIFE. Went in on Christmas Day. I know they didn't want to work but normally I tip very well. When I went in 5 other people were waiting for a table. It was about 3:30 pm and all the other people got a table. Several others left and no one cleaned the spaces that were empty. I waited 20 minutes for a space but they never cleaned up from the past customers. The employees talked between themselves but never cleaned a space for me. So finally I walked out and went to Denny's. I would have rather eaten at Waffle House but it wasn't going to happen that day. I appreciate the people working on Christmas but would have liked to be important enough to make room for me also! I will try again because I want a waffle and hash browns but would like to be important enough to make a sa pace for me. read more

Took my 2 yr old in for breakfast on Sunday 12/12/21 It was packed and we patiently waited fir over 35 minutes. Finally it was out turn. However the host (some guy named Tehran or something like that) took a couple that just walked in! This nice couple told him that me and my baby were first. He didn't care and seated them anyway! Claiming he was giving us a table piled with dirty dishes. THAT WAS ENOUGH!!! WE LEFT AND WENT TO CRACKER BARREL!!!! Emily was our server, she was good and for the most part WH friendly. If you're looking for that exceptional service WH is the wrong place to go. My husband and I joined some friends at the Denton Waffle House last night after attending a Good Friday Service. We all ordered breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! The grits were cooked perfectly, our eggs were done exactly as ordered, our pecan waffles were full of pecans, the coffee was brewed just right! We all sat at the bar so it was cool to see how the cooks worked so well together to prepare our meals. The service was also great! We will definitely pay Waffle House a visit again! read more

Once more customers arrived, they began opening tables that were supposed to be empty. When voicing concerns, I was told that they needed the space. At this point it's basically a cesspool for Covid. Not coming back at all. Not coming back at all. We ended up having to leave when the waitress spilled coffee on my friend and walked away as of it was nothing. went in for breakfast. It was extremely COLD in there. ordered coffee, after a long wait, received 1 cup of coffee (there was 2 of us waiting on 2 other people to come). They showed up. Unfriendly waitress that was obviously tired: brought two more cups of coffee. one had LIPSTICK on the cup. we refused the coffee, and said we were leaving. went to pay and she charged us for the cup of coffee with the lipstick. Okay, my big thing is rating things for what they are. Know what you are getting into. Is this place a greasy spoon with sticky menus? Yes, but it's a damn good greasy spoon and they are open 24 hours. That doesn't stop them from having outstanding diner service every time we come here. This morning alone at 6am we were greeted with Merry Christmas in the damn parking lot, they have great service and they have a lot of regulars and it's a shame more of them don't yelp on this place to make up for some poor reviews in the past. Peter was our server this morning, clearly still in training as we could hear the rest of the team training him and quizzing him behind the scenes- great team atmosphere! We each ordered the steak and eggs for $8.99. Considering it was so cheap and 6 oz I was just asking for no eggs on mine instead of a substitution but the immediately provided me with double hash browns. That's so great! Next I ordered a peanut butter waffle. Here's something you need to know about Waffle House. They don't do those "fluffy" Belgian waffles for $8 other diners can't pull off. They do thin, crisp waffles which is how *I* want them. They remind me of my hankering for eggo waffles as a kid but larger and better. They are good every single time, they are cheap and you have a variety of cheap toppings. I got peanut butter since that's like the best thing ever and you know what? They brought me a waffle with EXTRA peanut butter and I didn't even ask! It was a Christmas miracle!! The pic is before it starts melting which is pretty fast and sooo heavenly! The hash browns are never greasy. They are really good and crisp. My texas toast was excellent as was my husband's English muffin. Also, the cook on his eggs were correct which did not happen at the last 3 places he ordered eggs. Steak was a good portion for our appetites and they have 3 types of steak sauce. Bottom line, you can eat wherever you want. If you are in the mood for a waffle, this is definitely the place to go. If you aren't sure what you want (they serve the entire menu all day including burgers, a t bone and breakfast fare) but want cheap food with good service, this is still the place to go! Do you want breakfast at 1am? Come here, there's plenty of seating or you can call in an order and take it home, I see it all the time. If you want gourmet food and to be waited on hand and foot why are you looking at a diner anyway?? We stopped here on our way back from Winstar. It was about 4:30 in the am. Food was fresh, tasty and coffee could have taken it intraveniously, if they offered it that way, but alas, they didn't. Since we don't have a Waffle House in California I make it a point to visit one whenever I am in a state that there're in. The food was as expected, I mean how can you go wrong with breakfast? The waffles were good, the coffee was strong and hot. My only compliant was that they tried to fit 6 adults into a tiny 4 person booth. When I objected you would have thought the world was ending. The waiters said snide comments under their breath and blatantly out loud. Almost made us want to leave. I felt bad bringing 4 people there that had never been to a Waffle House. As a Minnesotan, I've always heard legends of this chain that blankets the Southern half of the country. This week while down in Denton, I was fortunate enough to give it a try. I came here once with my girlfriend for breakfast and once in the evening with some friends celebrating Halloween. Both expierences were great. When my gf and I went for breakfast, there was a new person being trained in that day who was helping us. She was very sweet, kind and attentive. The staff training her that also served us were kind as well. We both got hashbrowns and i got a pecan waffle in addition to my hasbrowns. I love the ordering method for the hasbrowns (sliced, diced, covered, smothered etc.), very creative and fun. The second time I came with friends for Halloween, we all had a blast. We were all dressed up and the staff seemed to really get a kick out of it. Harley was awesome. Both expierences here the food and service was great. I love the size of this small diner, a nice quaint feeling with an open kitchen. Definetly the ultimate bang for your buck diner chain I have ever been to! Will be sure to stop a Waffle House next time I'm in the south! read more
