I have been here 3 times this week I guess I am a glutton for punishment. My order was incorrect each time but the staff was really nice. The food was hot and tasted good. What concerns me more is the wearing of the masks underneath the nose (cooks especially) Come on now. Particles come from the nose as well. If you mention it they looked like you cursed them out.

Orange Juice, starting with that vitamin D!!!!!

Employees do not listen. They write down your order just to get it wrong. Second time this has happened at this location.

They are rude, they have trash all on the floor. I SEEN ROACHES. I wouldn't even give it 1 star.

If I could give this local favorite of six star review I would…read more Kevin, the owner and Mastermind behind the delicious array of flavors in all of their menu items. And house specials, is friendly and engaging. He makes the rounds and talks to the customers, makes them feel like home. All the staff seem to work together well and a very jovial. I sat at the counter cuz I was flying solo and had nice conversations with those next to me. The way the entire building is decorated is completely eye candy and as satisfying as the food. If you like crazy loopy, different kind of stuff. There's a specific coffee shop and small gift shop in the back with social & environmental conscious products. Even have a film development drop off that I guess locals take advantage of cuz where do you go for that anymore other than some kind of chain pharmacy?. I took pictures for my posting but also for myself to consider coming back and shopping another time. Several of the magnets and signs I would love to own. The food is plentiful and flavorful. I had the daily special of Georgia fresh shrimp sauteed on top of homemade sourdough that had a little bit of a French toast crispy to it, topped with roasted tomatoes and spinach and thin crispy onions that were well seasoned. Most the time for lunch you just hope for something that taste good and this was beyond my wildest dreams of what I was going to eat for lunch today. And it was only $10. The burgers, the fried chicken, the fried shrimp, everything was looking so yummy. I totally have to come back. The place is much bigger than it looks from the front because it extends around the corner behind the counter and they greet you when you come in.

A true hearty southern breakfast experience! Be prepared for a long wait. Put your name down and…read morewalk around the neighborhood or go to the connected coffee shop. There's some limited parking in the lot behind the restaurant, but there's otherwise street parking in the general neighborhood. Come hungry! Portion sizes are huge and food is heavy. The service was great. Southern hospitality at its finest and they came by frequently to refill waters and coffee. It's a little bit hole in the wall/greasy in there, but that's part of the charm. If you're trying to get in and out, I recommend coming with smaller groups, like 2-4 people. I think it'd be chaotic to try and deal with a big party in the basement dining area. Recommend any of the fried chicken dishes, biscuits, and fried okra.

GPS took us right to the restaurant. There are several parking spots on the street right in front…read moreof the building. I did not notice any specific handicapped spot but was able to park right next to the entrance. Be aware there is a bike lane between the street and the parking spots. Be courteous and aware as exiting your vehicle. We were greeted as we walked in. I think there is a QR code to be put on the waitlist to the right, but we were seated right away. Seating is mostly booths with some stools at the counter. There are a couple small tables at the front of the building looking out to the street. I think there is also seating on the other side of the main seating area. Our server brought us physical menus, but you can also scan a QR code to bring the menu up on your phone. She took our drink orders and returned with them quickly. She also pointed out the daily specials on the chalkboard behind us when she brought the menus, which was a nice touch. We placed our order and waited no more than 15 minutes for the food to be brought to the booth. The chorizo scramble special was outstanding. The chorizo was very flavorful, the other ingredients fresh and crisp, and there was enough cheese to add flavor without making the scramble heavy. The accompanying fried potatoes were cooked perfectly and the multigrain biscuit was exceptional. There were small containers of apple butter on the table that made the biscuit into a memorable experience. The pancake special comes with two eggs, bacon, and grits. The plate-sized pancakes are fluffy and seem to have a malt flavor, the eggs were cooked as ordered, and even the toast was notable. The grits were creamy without turning to jello as they cooled. The build your own plate of French toast, pancake, and bacon was also excellent. The French toast slice was thick and large. Added to the large pancake, this was a filling meal. The bacon is good and was cooked as ordered. They must have a code system, as the server who took the order was not the one who brought the food to our table. Without needing to ask, each plate was placed in front of the person who placed the order. No confusion, just a well-run service that adds to the overall experience. While the ambient noise can get a little high, it is all conversation and laughter. This is a lively diner with outstanding friendly service and amazingly good food. Two thumbs up for Thumbs Up!
