Waffle House in Bonifay, FL. Right off I-10 in north Florida. The place is a little hidden behind some tall pines so we found it after searching online. Once there, there were quite a few people which I assume must be locals. The service was stellar. That server was so sweet and kind, she made our morning so much nicer. My over easy eggs were a little too runny but the bacon, grits and toast were just right. The rest of the food was good and the coffee was great. I was surprised at how inexpensive this place is. Not sure if it's this particular location or all WH, since I haven't been to one in many years. The open kitchen area and counter make this feel like an old timey diner. I liked it a lot. Highly recommend if you are traveling this area or even live in it. read more

I've been to many Waffle Houses and I was just passing through town, but this one is definitely the best. The food is nice and you get to sit at a table with pine trees around the building. The servers are ALL nice!! Very nice and caring. Charley was our server and she was sweet and funny. I would come back next time I drive by. read more

A hidden gem, this WH is located just north of I-10 at Bonifay, on the right, behind a cluster of trees. Charlotte our server and all the other staff were friendly, polite and appeared to really enjoy working together. Hubby ordered an omelette (no longer on menu but can still be ordered) while I order a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich plate. The food was tasty and hot. Charlotte and the crew checked in throughout the meal. I truly hope I have another chance to visit again. If you're in the area, definitely give them a try! read more

Had a great experience here! The food was great but the service is really what pushed it to 5 stars. Charlie is the best waitress I've had in years!!! So kind and courteous!! read more

The food tasted fresh and the service was so great. The kitchen works so well as a team and you can tell by how fast and how they don't miss any substitutions made. Now days is so hard to get what you order but this restaurant proved me wrong! Keep up the great work you guys! @IIVanGogh read more

Waffle House has become an iconic part of the landscape of the southeastern United States. These yellow neon lit buildings have fed countless road weary travelers, families with laughing children in tow, late night revelers and people from every walk of life. My go to choices are either the patty melt or one of their egg and meat breakfast options. But for me the big allure here has always been their hash browns. You can get the hash browns topped with a variety of toppings, you can't go wrong with chili and cheese, but really it is whatever items talk to your heart. I guess you might find it odd that I have never had the waffles at a business where waffle is in their very name of the business but I am just not into the sweet type breakfasts. Whether waffles are your thing or not, I would recommend visiting a Waffle House, this location or any of their locations. read more

How can you give Waffle House less than 5 stars. You know what it is and you know what you're gonna get. The food is Waffle House and if it's wrong they fix it. Sheesh. read more

Well.... it's a waffle house....wait staff is fine, food is okay. On the whole, it could be kept a bit cleaner.

If you pass 8 pm and looking for food in this area, Waffle House is your best chance. I would said 80% of the restaurant close after 8 pm. Waffle House is only 24 hours in this area. We were here at 10:30pm. I have order two pork chop with sunny side up eggs and hash browns. I always instruct them make the hash browns crispy and have the pork chop burn a bit. I like the chop here since they are thin and easy to plate grilled. The hash browns was prepared to my order. I like the crispy edge with slightly over cook with crispy touch. Try it some time. The egg still have the yolk in liquid stage. Break it over the hash browns is perfect. The service here is good. At least I have a happy tummy fill with food before go to bed. I was hungry and eat them all. read more

I have been to Waffle House locations across the southeast since 1990. We go because we know exactly what to expect. When I order my usual, a chicken melt plate with hash browns scattered and smothered that's what I get. The Waffle House in Bonifay, FL has gone rogue. The chicken melt has no melt!! No cheese!!! The hash browns are not scattered. They did offer to fix it, but I would have had to walk back down a busy 4 lane with no sidewalk to get there. Luckily, I'm sure there will be a more consistent Waffle House at another exit. Therefore, keep drive through Bonifay if you are looking for your usual Waffle House. read more

We've been on a west to east and back cross country roadtrip, and this is the first and only place that got my over medium eggs cooked perfectly! Service was great and so were the waffles. read more

Great place for a tasty breakfast. Service is courteous and efficient. Good coffee. Sure beats the fast food places. Not all Waffle House restaurants are the same. I place the Bonifay location in the top 5%. Can't wait to go back. read more

We went to Waffle House this evening and got Michael as a waiter. This guy is so polite and kind and was so interested in making sure we had a great experience. When you come in, you should always request him. He is the best. read more

Word to the wise for either their corporate office or the franchise owner, fill your management with those who have some semblance of common sense of which your assistant manager Jeff is totally lacking. His inflexibility and lack of critical thinking cost this location 7 meals today. I can assure you this wasn't the first time this has happened nor will it be the last. read more

Friendly and helpful staffs. Open on Christmas day when no other place is open. The waffle is good.

I came in and sat down and there were only 5 other customers when I entered. No one spoke a word to me for the first 5 min I sat at the counter and finally someone took my drink order another 5 min later and a waitress emerged from the back and my order was taken. I was rushed through ordering. This visit does not exemplify the standards displayed by other Waffle House locations. This is my first and last trip here. As a side note the staff is indifferent and unpleasant and only a handful had mask on. The manager didn't wear one and was at the grill over other's food. read more

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Attentive, but not overly bothersome. Had the chicken melt and enjoyed it very much, as usual. Not sure why Yelp says they don't have a proper address for this location as I submitted the correct information and a copy of my receipt showing address as proof??? read more

Waffle House - Exterior - Diners Near Me - Bonifay, Florida

My wife and I were on a trip back from Pensacola, FL and had to stop here because of our screaming baby in the car. The service wasn't too bad. It's a typical Waffle House. I ordered coffee and my waitress gave me plenty of creamer and coffee when I asked for it. Unfortunately I don't remember her name. I ordered the Texas Cheesesteak Patty melt with bacon and it was pretty decent. The bacon may have been slightly overcooked. I had hash browns and they were also pretty decent. My stepson ordered a waffle and then drenched the entire plate in syrup, so I can't honestly comment on his waffle. The food was decent. I would not really say anything bad about this location. read more

I usually only write reviews when I don't like a place but they were so amazing I felt the need to write a good one for them! This was not only the best Waffle House experience I have ever had but also the best customer experience ever! They were so sweet to us and even cooked our breakfast again when I accidentally spilled my tea. Ashley was an amazing waitress! 10/10 recommend!! 5 star experience! read more

We walked in and sat at the table for a full five minutes. No employee uttered a word to us although one waitress told another she had a customer. The waitress replied to her that "it was going to be a minute and they'd just have to wait." With that said, we got up and told her don't worry about it. That ISN'T how you act when you work in the service industry for tips. Won't be back here. read more

We stopped here for breakfast today on our way back from PC. It was clean and the staff were friendly. They were very busy it being after church and the end the bike week. It didn't take long for us to be seated. Our food was good. Overall everything was good. read more

I travel a lot. I stop at a waffle house every chance I get. This one in Bonifay is the worst one ever. I've eaten there a total of four times and all four times the grits had huge dry lumps that were bigger than a tablespoon. I took a chance and stopped by last Saturday night and decided to try the steak. It was like shoe leather. Lots of wait staff but they were too busy visiting with each other to work. Just when I decided to walk out they acknowledged we were there but still kept laughing and playing. read more

This wAs a great Waffle House-- the cleanest we have ever eaten at. They had a substitute cook today, but our food was great!

The food is good most of the time but the service is spotty depending on what waitress you get. Some are attentive and wonderful whole others would rather be in the back room on their phone. Not to mention the cook that dips snuff while cooking your food. Not quite a 5 star for me. read more

I usually order well done hash browns. Usually they turn out horrible! Today I took a chance an ordered well done hash browns! They were amazing! Thank you waffle house cook! I will always remember you! read more

Order exactly as ordered. Strangely the one by my house can't do it the first time. Cooked but not burned food seems to be a specialty item these days. Grilled onions are a must (not steamed). The waitress was attentive with out being bothersome. Clean place also and the juke was easy to hear with out being overwhelmingly loud like some. Will be back if I pass through here again. read more
