Mom's Kitchen is a nice small restaurant tucked in Hartford, Alabama! The place is rather small, and gets rather packed around lunch but it does have a drive thru! The service was ideal, with any wait being due to the making the food fresh. As for the food itself my sandwich was delicious and the fries were good! I went to this place for first time. The food was good but the waiter made a big mistake on my ticket. I had to wait very long so I can pay for my food and resolve the issue, but the waiter brought a lot of food and never attended our table the way she supposed to do. When I saw there was something wrong, I repeated my order to her for third time, only to make sure. She ignored us and at the end I went to the cashier to explain what I order for finally paying, and the manager treated us (my family and I) very rude arguing and complaining about how much I tipped her. The manager was very problematic and violent. I don't recommend this place really bad service read more

A from the outside it looks very dineresque in the 1970s kind of way but the food is outstanding...every side item every fried fish item the burgers everything was excellent! Yum. Went here for the first time today. I wanted to take pictures of the food but it was too good I just dug in. I got the house omelet with hashbrowns and upgraded to biscuits and gravy for the side. 10/10 all of it. They had homemade salsa too with a little kick and it was perfect. My boyfriend got eggs, bacon, home fries and upgraded to French toast. The bacon was great quality, the potatoes were smashed real potatoes and delicious. We stopped here for lunch today. Very nice home cooking restaurant. Good southern food with a good variety. They even have liver and onions which is a rarity these days. The staff was friendly and served fairly quickly. Prices were reasonable. I order a "senior" meal of fried fish and fries and hush puppies. Ample quantity and pretty good. The restroom was clean and tidy. I'll be returning and trying the liver or maybe breakfast which they serve all day. read more

Mom n pop diner with a drive through. Had the grilled grouper with green beans & sweet potato which was really tasty. The fried grouper was ok but recommend the grilled. The squash was super and service was top notch ... our waitress didn't let us sit with an empty glass for 30 seconds. She had great attitude and made the place even more pleasant. I was traveling through on my way home from Panama City. I love trying mom & pop places. So I was so excited for some home cooked breakfast. Biggest mistake. There is bad service and then there is service I experience here at moms kitchen. We sat down, waited 14 minutes to even get drinks. Than after our drinks, a different server who was not our original server was supposed to take our order. 30 minutes goes by and then the original server comes over and said "oh I thought she took your order" so naturally I'm already frustrated. If that wasn't enough, we waited 45 minutes for our food. It FINNALLY comes, and it is wrong. And on top of it being wrong, A HAIR was in my pancakes. A HAIR. and the coffee was not offered to be refilled until we got our food. There was no apology, just an eye roll. We left without eating and I definitely wasn't paying for a repulsive experience. So bad I finally had to just go to Hardee's a crossed the street just to get some sustenance. read more

We became so very hungry and when we saw Mom's Kitchen in the distance, it was like a beautiful mirage in the desert. Truly a gift from the Lord. We made a sharp u turn to arrive. The lemon slices in the water and tea were generous, juicy, and lush. We got the chicken and dressing special and split it. It came with a thigh, leg, dressing, gravy, two cranberry sauce cups, two rolls, and two sides. We got zipper peas and green beans. For only $6.99 it was plenty of food for the both of us, and we like to eat. Everything was delicious! The waitresses were kind and showed southern charm and hospitality. We spent our day in PAnama City Beach and left hungry, When we stumbled upon this gem in Hartford, Al. and were pleasantly surprised, the menu looked very appetizing and we chose ribeyes w baked potatoes. My only complaint is that vegetables should be vegetables-no meat cooked with them. This makes it very hard on us vegetarians who still enjoy little country spots.
