We drive by this hole-in-the-wall mom & pop restaurant every time we head to the coast, but this is our first time stopping. I'm glad we did! Hats off to our server, Drako, who took great care of us, from start to finish. We really appreciated his honest menu recommendations. The food was top-notch, the portions were perfect, & the prices were reasonable. read more

I went to moms kitchen on a Saturday night party of 6. Although it was a Saturday it wasn't busy. We sat down and the waitress came and threw menus on the table never introducing her self just asking for drink orders. We never received refills. The food is over priced and frozen to order. The fries were a soggy mess. They burnt my kids grilled cheese. The Mac and cheese is not edible and doesn't even taste like cheese. We ordered bacon and it came to the table black very overly burnt. After receiving our food our waitress never checked on us. Maybe she was having a bad night I understand that ,but truly an awful experience for us from service to food. read more

We tried this place and I've got to tell you it was very bad. Chicken tasted old. "Dressing" was a box of stovetop. Gravy no flavor. Mashed potatoes were instant. Also everything was filthy especially the air return vent and windows and bathroom. read more

Mom's Kitchen is a nice small restaurant tucked in Hartford, Alabama! The place is rather small, and gets rather packed around lunch but it does have a drive thru! The service was ideal, with any wait being due to the making the food fresh. As for the food itself my sandwich was delicious and the fries were good! If you're looking for a spot to eat in Hartford and don't mind a small space, this is a nice place to eat! read more

Love this place. Food is delicious and they serve plenty! Honestly feels like you are waiting for Mom's cooking! Homemade

I went to this place for first time. The food was good but the waiter made a big mistake on my ticket. I had to wait very long so I can pay for my food and resolve the issue, but the waiter brought a lot of food and never attended our table the way she supposed to do. When I saw there was something wrong, I repeated my order to her for third time, only to make sure. She ignored us and at the end I went to the cashier to explain what I order for finally paying, and the manager treated us (my family and I) very rude arguing and complaining about how much I tipped her. The manager was very problematic and violent. I don't recommend this place really bad service read more

A from the outside it looks very dineresque in the 1970s kind of way but the food is outstanding...every side item every fried fish item the burgers everything was excellent! So good we're coming back this way when going to Florida again just so we can eat here! And Jamie is an outstanding server! read more

Yum. Went here for the first time today. I wanted to take pictures of the food but it was too good I just dug in. I got the house omelet with hashbrowns and upgraded to biscuits and gravy for the side. 10/10 all of it. They had homemade salsa too with a little kick and it was perfect. My boyfriend got eggs, bacon, home fries and upgraded to French toast. The bacon was great quality, the potatoes were smashed real potatoes and delicious. Can't believe it's taken me a year to come here. Also the service was fantastic. My coffee and water was never low and the service was friendly and fast. Go here. Also don't mistake this with mom's restaurant in enterprise. This is Hartford read more

We stopped here for lunch today. Very nice home cooking restaurant. Good southern food with a good variety. They even have liver and onions which is a rarity these days. The staff was friendly and served fairly quickly. Prices were reasonable. I order a "senior" meal of fried fish and fries and hush puppies. Ample quantity and pretty good. The restroom was clean and tidy. I'll be returning and trying the liver or maybe breakfast which they serve all day. read more

GOOD COUNTRY COOKING!!! Blue collar meals , GREAT breakfasts. HUGE portions and reasonable price. Stopped for breakfast on the way through from PCB , had a lot of trucks around it so figured that it would have to be good since the locals like it. Come to find out that they are right. Small town home feel. Great service and good food. We WILL be back next time we come through. read more

I've always wanted to stop at this place on my trek to the Gulf. The place was packed for lunch, but somehow they squeeze everyone into a seat. The vegetables were good. The meatloaf was average at best. I should have ordered the baked chicken. Their cornbread is soft and buttery sweet. Lunch cost around $13 with tax. I tipped $3. The service was good. Their WiFi was down on this particular day so the cashier told me to go across the street to get money from an ATM. read more

Went for breakfast with my dad and family the food was great, nice small place, the service was great too. Would recommend this place

Food was excellent. Service good. Price was reasonable. Atmosphere good as well. Will definitely be back!

Mom n pop diner with a drive through. Had the grilled grouper with green beans & sweet potato which was really tasty. The fried grouper was ok but recommend the grilled. The squash was super and service was top notch ... our waitress didn't let us sit with an empty glass for 30 seconds. She had great attitude and made the place even more pleasant. Definitely recommend for a good meal. Oh and the options are impressive from the specials to the side options. Will stop in every time I'm through. read more

Excellent food and super friendly staff! This was the perfect pit stop between Nashville and central Florida.

Staff is so sweet and good is brought out in a timely manner! Will definitely be eating here again!

I was traveling through on my way home from Panama City. I love trying mom & pop places. So I was so excited for some home cooked breakfast. Biggest mistake. There is bad service and then there is service I experience here at moms kitchen. We sat down, waited 14 minutes to even get drinks. Than after our drinks, a different server who was not our original server was supposed to take our order. 30 minutes goes by and then the original server comes over and said "oh I thought she took your order" so naturally I'm already frustrated. If that wasn't enough, we waited 45 minutes for our food. It FINNALLY comes, and it is wrong. And on top of it being wrong, A HAIR was in my pancakes. A HAIR. and the coffee was not offered to be refilled until we got our food. There was no apology, just an eye roll. We left without eating and I definitely wasn't paying for a repulsive experience. So bad I finally had to just go to Hardee's a crossed the street just to get some sustenance. read more

What a great breakfast! Huge portions, well cooked, tasty! Service was excellent - even tried to give me coffee to go - how nice is that? Obviously not in the north anymore . Stopped by Mom's Kitchen during a road trip from Fort Walton to Dothan with my mom. We became so very hungry and when we saw Mom's Kitchen in the distance, it was like a beautiful mirage in the desert. Truly a gift from the Lord. We made a sharp u turn to arrive. The lemon slices in the water and tea were generous, juicy, and lush. We got the chicken and dressing special and split it. It came with a thigh, leg, dressing, gravy, two cranberry sauce cups, two rolls, and two sides. We got zipper peas and green beans. For only $6.99 it was plenty of food for the both of us, and we like to eat. Everything was delicious! The waitresses were kind and showed southern charm and hospitality. If I ever take another trip from Fort Walton to Dothan, I will definitely stop by this little miracle restaurant again!! read more

We spent our day in PAnama City Beach and left hungry, When we stumbled upon this gem in Hartford, Al. and were pleasantly surprised, the menu looked very appetizing and we chose ribeyes w baked potatoes. Service was excellent, food was excellent tons of options and very reasonable. I highly recommend you check this restaurant out. We will definitely be back. It was very quiet when we first arrived maybe two tables counting us but by the time we left all tables were full and there were customers waiting on tables. read more

Surprise... The last time I visited this place, it was nasty, smelled of smoke, and the food was nasty. Today, it was clean and smoke free! The food was 10 times better. The ONLY thing that prevents a five star rating...it is dated in the decor. But we WILL be back!!! read more

Ok i just cant go without reviewing any longer. This is MOMS Kitchen, you know, like good old home cookin?! So to the in-love-with his six pack reviewer, its NOT SUPPOSED to be California lean cuisine. You saw the name, did you REALLY think it would be light food fare and minuscule portions??!! Sheesh, nobody is shoveling the whole course in your foolish mouth! Go run a few more laps afterward dude!! and to the reviewer not giving a 5 star rating because of the dated decor, have you not heard of country cabin decor? Wth does the decor have to do with good food in the middle of nowheresville AL? And on to the review: Food is always great! Ive stopped for meals on packed house days and service is friendly and efficient! I LOVE the house omelet! Not greasy, not slathered in oil, butter, and just the right amount of yummy fillings! Hubby loves steak and eggs and the home fries. Oh, and the portions are decent, not buffet platter-weighted and not leaving you hungry minimalistic. If you cant eat it all, then get a to-go box! My adult son visits from WA and as soon as we pick him up from the airport he requests to eat at MOMS! So do NOT pass this place by, its worth the stop! read more

Good, fresh food and friendly service. Low prices too. We had breakfast and all four orders were perfect. We will stop here again!

Best breakfast in the Fort Rucker area. Worth the drive. The house omelet with smoked sausage was tasty.

Awesome service and Excellent food! As a very picky food snob from Colorado, I have found very few enjoyable restaurants in the surrounding area, until thankfully one day I came here:) Defiantly recommend the fried shrimp basket with fries with homemade ranch . Cooked to a perfect crispness! Food is actually cooked fresh and seasoned to order unlike other lazy business where everything microwaved and served hot and steamy at a very well timed pace. I Wish I came here A year ago! I would have saved me a load of wasted money that should have gone directly to them! loll Ps: ( You just cant beat an all day breakfast menu! read more

Good food and CHEAP prices... We aren't used to meat and threes with good quality and under$10 with drinks included. My only complaint is that vegetables should be vegetables-no meat cooked with them. This makes it very hard on us vegetarians who still enjoy little country spots. Husband had meatloaf, baked potato, slaw. I had Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, slaw, and salad. Homemade ranch is really good. Friendly, nice portions of food, not fancy, and very diverse menu. Breakfast lunch and dinner served all day! read more
