Placed large order online at store 1220 in Beaumont, Tx. Upon picking up the order and reviewing the order it was uncertain if all items were included. After returning to the office found order was missing 2 items that were charged to my credit card. When I tried calling the number received a voice recording without speaking to someone at the location. Infact after I searched to locate a different phone number, I was surprised to find no other was listed. Since this was food for a company function 2 employees did not receive what they requested. These restaurants need to clean up. Received a dirty menu, had food on it and I sat next to an open dirty trash can. After finishing my meal, I looked down and noticed a cockroach that appeared on the table next to me. Pushed it to the floor with my empty plate and that's when I noticed the dirty trash can. Food and service, subpar. Anyway, doesn't matter how the service and food were, the cockroach appearance made this review a one star!! Visited this Waffle House this morning and ordered food Togo. The staff was very pleasant, especially the young lady that took our order (I believe her name was Jesse). We ordered 2 All Star breakfast's and a breakfast sandwich. Rating as follows. Food; 5 stars food was hot, fresh and delicious! Service: 5 stars- staff was courteous and kept us informed on the status of our order. And we receive food approximately 10-12 mins after ordering and it was well package. Cleanliness: 3.5 stars. - women's restroom was decent, had soap and paper towels. The seating error was also decent. Maybe extra effort to devote more time to cleaning this area will help appearance. Food prep areas looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile with batter drippings around the waffle maker and fragments of food everywhere. I'm assuming this was because they were busy and didn't have the time. Would recommend someone take the time to clean the area as they go. We had an awesome experience here! From walking in and being greeted by everyone to being seated immediately and getting our drink orders taken. The sweet tea tasted a bit sour but our waitress Britt immediately poured out what was already made and made fresh tea with no complaining or attitude. She took our food orders and the food came back quickly. The manager Desidiro (not sure if I spelled that right) seems like an amazing person to work under. He came from the office area and made sure we were ok. He then jumped in to help the cook on the grill and wherever else he could assist. The waitresses seemed to be calm and stress free and I'm sure he has a big part in that. The manager came back by and asked if we needed refills or anything else, we didn't because Britt had been very attentive. While there, he made small conversation with us sharing a little bit about his sweet family as we shared a little bit about ours with him. I think this by far was the best experience we've had at a Waffle House, not because of the food but simply because of the exceptional service. If we were local, we'd definitely return. read more

I stopped in for breakfast early and placed my order. The main portion of my meal came to the table and the waitress said my waffle would follow in a few minutes. While preparing to start my meal I looked up and noticed the cook using broom and dust pan in table area. He the carried both items behind the counter, set them aside and began preparing my waffles without washing his hands. It may seem to some that this is minor, but I find it unhealthy and an improper food handling practice. A broom and dustpan are handled by multiple people to perform some of the dirtiest tasks in the restaurant and stored in the dirtiest area. There is no telling what dirt and germs are on the handles and now in the cooks hands. I have frequented Waffle Houses in different areas over the years, but I will not return to this one in Beaumont, TX. read more

Normally I am not a big fan of Waffle House but my experience here was different than the other times I have visited other locations. My family and I were greeted promptly by a sweet waitress name Keierah. I figured it would be difficult to get service because it is Christmas Day but this was not the case at all. We placed our order and received everything rather quickly. It was hot, fresh and made perfectly to our specifications. The eggs we perfectly firm yet with a subtle yolk that blended well with the crisp toast made of the finest white breads. The steak was nicely griddle seared with notes of bacon and hash brown that complimented the finely sliced t-bone cut. Served with aged Heinze 57 it was excellent. coffee was black and hot with profiles of pecan waffle and syrup. The orange juice de concentrate was blended perfectly with finest local water and offered a light acidity that complimented the meal well. When my boyfriend and I arrived for dinner we we traveling from Houston to Alabama on I-10. We stopped at a time where conveniently there weren't any other customers, and our waiter and waitress Ryan and Tristan were lots of fun. They were incredibly conversational. Ryan offered to dance to Beyonce on the jukebox, but by the time that song arrived the waffle house was much more crowded than when we arrived. Well the staff was very unprofessional I ordered hash browns and got grits the server did nothing to fix it. Then the server put on a cap the had marijuana leaves all of it ( not the place for that) and was asking customers if they liked his cap. Then he started joking around that he was Mexican and that El Chapo was his dad don't know if I should have been offended or was he just trying hard for attention. I grew up with them every couple of miles depending on what stretch of highway you were on and no matter which one you go to, it's always kind of the same. Other than that time I was at the one in D'Iberville and SWORE I was in Alabama...Firebirds, Camaraos and Mullets EVERYWHERE. This one was no different than the rest, other than being in Beaumont! It was everything I ever thought Beaumont would be. Let me fill you in! It was SUPER slow so most of the staff was just hanging around and shooting the breeze. I got to hear about all kinds of things like Cricket phones, 'scraping the rims' of some dudes car (not sure what that means but It may have been that the lady was 'large and in charge'?) THEN came the shift change! Oh man, I guess the new shift cook was talking mad smack to the other cooks and everyone else. I could've sat there laughing all night (think barbershop the movie) BUT I had to drive to MS. The food? It was typical Waffle House fair, it's all the same..except the time the cook decided smoking was more important than actually toasting my bread. This one was COLD AS HELL though. Another thing that was really irritating was that the waitress couldn't remember what we ordered to save her life. She just kept calling out what was ordered. Even for drinks, "Who got the orange juice?" Who got the waffles, who got bacon. Like come on now, you don't work as a server and then question everyone what they got even when you have written everything down from the beginning. I worked as a server.
