On 5/6/2026 I went to Waffle house in Atmore, Al after leaving the casino to eat breakfast. I asked for a cup of coffee and when it got to me, it was cold . I asked the waitress if she could put it in the microwave for me, and she said, we don't have a microwave. She never offered another cup, or say I'll make another pot. She just took the cup I had, dumped it and never asked if I needed anything else. Horrible service, Wanda was her name. That was my last time going to that WH. read more

Look the bar is on the floor for Waffle House, but this was the WORST Waffle House I've ever been to. Our server had 2 tables, the one behind me (2 people) and my table (2 people). She didn't even acknowledge us for 30+ min and then took our drink and food orders. She never actually brought us drinks. Another worker asked what we were drinking and brought them to us like 10 minutes later. She only brought the food and we definitely didn't get our drinks refilled. We actually didn't talk to her again until we had to pay. We had to ask for the waffles we ordered after our food was delivered. Overall it took 2 hours. We just left with full tummy's and a smile on our faces. The place is very well kept. Bathrooms were clean. Our server was Mia, and she took great care of us. The food was perfectly cooked, and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. Definitely a great place to stop. read more

Yesterday was my second time at this place and the experience was much better this time. The lady who helped us (Ava or Eva) was fantastic in every way. Her service, attitude and personality was excellent. She was very helpful and right on time with her refreshing personality, especially since we had just come from a hospital visit from hell at Mobil Infirmary. The place in there is hectic but she kept everything at a nice pace. I only had hashbrowns and sausage but they were good. The only negative part was that the person paying for our party left a small tip. (We found out after we had left and were miles away. All four of us said that if we are ever in the area again we would dine there if we pull up and see her working. I'll make sure to leave the tip myself next time. read more

I was on I-65 on the way back to my hometown around midnight and started getting hungry, so starting looking for Waffle House sign, as it was one of the only places open that late and is a reliable stop for caffeine and good greasy food. I walked in and placed a to-go order for a Texas Chicken Bacon Melt, which has Grilled Chicken, Bacon, and Cheese on Texas Toast (I got it without the onions) and Hashbrowns with Cheese. While this item is no longer on the menu, all of the WH locations that I've been to and ordered it at have had no problem making it. There were only a handful of other customers dining in at the time, and seven employees behind the counter. The employees were friendly enough, but were focused their phones and chatting with one another than on the customers. This was evidenced by the fact that after my order had been finished, the employees let it sit on the counter for several minutes before I asked about if it was mine, which it was. While the food itself was good and standard to what I've had at other WH locations, the service and cleanliness of the restaurant could certainly be improved. read more

From reading the reviews I honestly expected it to be awful despite the 3.0 star rating, but honestly it was really good food and service. Just disappointed the restroom was out of order. Our server was super fast and everything came out perfect. Hot coffee, cold juice, yummy. read more

This is your prototypical Waffle House. Food is always delicious, service depends on the time of day/night. It's hit or miss when it comes to calling in orders. I can't say I blame them because it is located next to a casino. read more

Waffle House - Diners Near Me - Atmore, Alabama

I frequent this Waffle House location often as it's in an area I travel for work regularly. First the food is good, not amazing, but good and the restaurant is usually clean. What always stands out to me is the staff. They always seem to kinda be in they're own world. Carrying on internal conversations about one thing or another and generally ignoring everyone. Such potential here, just needs direction. This bunch could stand to see how the spanish fort location is ran, it'd benefit this location. read more

We walked in this place at 6:10 and it was 6:45 when we finally decided to walk out because the employees were just standing around not cleaning tables for us to sit at and they constantly walked past and watched us needing to get a table but refused to do so. read more

We arrived at 3:00 pm. 5 people working. Sat down. No one came to offer anything. No service for 10 minutes. We left. Store # 1969. I love Waffle House because of the service and the food. But no one ever came to offer anything. And there were few tables. They need to learn to at least greet and say something or offer apologies. We were totally ignored and we are nice people. They need to learn the manners of other Waffle House employees. read more

We just had the best breakfast at this Waffle House. It's run like a well-oiled machine. All breakfasts are made to order. Our food arrived in 5 minutes even though it was at capacity. Our server was efficient and personable. We highly recommend it and will be back. read more

Its a waffle house. I always get the same thing at all waffle houses. That big american breakfast. Waffle house is a franchise and they run all of them the same. So its pretty hard for them to screw up. Waffle, eggs, bacon and hashbrown and I forget grits. My only gripe about waffle house is they give u ou the waffle the same time with everything. Then my waffle gets cold. Outside of that.... seriously its waffle house and they get your breakfast or drunk hunger fix :) read more

Same number of employees as customers and it took 15 min to get a glass of water. We had to ask for it 3 times too. The food was okay, not hot but tasted all right. But for the love of god somebody please put up some fly paper. read more

hubby wanted his eggs over med. they looked like snot, the whites clear, and yellow completely runny, no refills on coffee or iced tea, told the waitress about the eggs and she said nothing to the cook who was also the manager she told us. My husband asked to speak to him and he came over as we were getting ready to leave, he asked my husband if he wanted another set of eggs fried and I said it was to late, duh. My husband told him he would be getting a bad review and the manager replied "yeah we usually do" and walked away.
