This is the 2nd month of a $300+ water bill and no response to any inquiries about finishing the work I've already paid (over $4k) have fallen on dead ears. They don't answer the phone, they don't respond to texts or emails, I'm pretty sure you end up an ignore list when they don't want to deal with you or they just don't pay to keep any office staff. My, even more terrible, warrant company, AHS sent these guys out to repair a leak under the house. they came out quick enough, said they need to wait for the crawlspace to dry a bit and would be out X date to get started. They come, get the bulk of it done, I have a pipe sticking out of my front yard leading to nowhere I don't really understand (still do) and I'm pretty sure its a hazard, but at this point, we're not done. I at least have water, and I've had other issues that needed repair that were apparently caused by a lack of a particular pressure valve. I'm like, cool, let's get one then so this does not happen anymore. It would be 3 more visits before this was done. I've been in the house five years and don't understand how it passed inspection if this was a rule then. So, there was to be a follow up visit to finish and tidy, Y date came and I get a notification they are "on the way" and they just... don't show? Up to this point, I was more worried than irritated. The main guy, Jarvon is the one I've been dealing with, and when I touch base there is confusion about what I would be contacting them about. Um? Finish the job? He's come out, still without the pressure regulator and gets more of the list of stuff that has been broken because of it. He is quick to fix anything tested and still an issue and promises to return to install the pressure regulator. He does, it gets done and from the first major visit on when he had a crew out and under the house, my AC is diminishing... but its slow. Then the heatwave arrives. So while I pay someone to come out and look at the AC, they find some of the ductwork has been knocked off the vent, its supercool under there, and one of my brand new pipes is just leaking its little heart out. I've called, I've texted and I'm just getting blown off. So...now I feel like sending this to the various licensing boards is my only recourse left. Bottom line, find someone else. And if you're warranty company tries to send them, switch warranty companies. read more

As a vendor for American Home Shield, They came to check on my water heater that was not heating and told me I needed to get a new one. Was charged $500 on top of what AHS covered for "water line modifications" Turns out, the gas was turned off the unit, that is why it did not heat. They either did not check that or ignored it. The experience that we have encountered with this company is ridiculous! We used them through our extended warranty American Home shield which is TRASH for a water heater repair because we was not getting any hot water. They sent someone out and he was in such a rush that he didn't complete the job and we still have no hot water and we are on day 3. The plumbing company does not answer calls, voicemails or emails. We have to go throughout the weekend with no hot water!! American Home Shield could not help and there has been no contact with Wades plumbing... I contacted my home warranty company AHS (yeah I know) for a issue I was having with low water pressure. They dispatched Wade's..after looking at their reviews I was at first very skeptical. I actually spoke with a honest and very professional person name Kayla. I expressed my concerns with using them as a vendor for my repair. After talking with her I felt good about using them so I did. Long short made short, the technician showed up on time and was a great very skilled young man. This is a complete scam company!!! They charged a $125 service fee upfront without even coming to the house. When they finally came to inspect, they promised to come back for repairs that same Friday afternoon or on Monday. But on Monday, no one answered the phone when we called. We tried calling every day and still couldn't get through. Finally, on Thursday, we managed to reach someone, and they claimed they were coming to do the repair and just needed to go to Home Depot to get materials. Literally they steal money from you. I had $120 in $20 bills sitting on the kitchen counter for my wife to go to the grocery store and somehow $80 of that was missing while the technician was working in the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen. I've left a message for them more than once but No one will call me back and I don't know if it's worth going to the police over that amount. To add insult to injury they didn't even fix the bathroom. The technician wrapped duct tape on the inside of the handle inside the tank to keep it from being loose and claimed he replaced it. My wife didn't know to check the quality of their work. UPDATE: they have three five star reviews. Two from California residents and 1 from New Jersey. Here to give this company another 1 star review. Same complaints as everyone else. Assigned this contractor through American Home Shield. They have ton a terrible job the entire way. Not answering phone calls, showed up to the first appointment 5 hours late with no calls, then took photos and left. 2nd appointment, did not show up with a new garbage disposal to fix the leaking one, showed up an hour late, and replaced my pressure regulator valve which led me to have no water pressure inside my house. American Home Shield sent this company out to unclog a stoppage with a kitchen sink. They sent someone out 4 times and they still did not fix the problem. I was told from this company that they had no idea what the problem was but they needed to dig up my yard for a price of $3500.00. Nothing was clogged but the kitchen sink, so I fronted them with the idea that if everything was running freely, it could not be in the yard. Another plumber came in and unstopped the sink in less than 10 minutes. In my opinion, Wades Plumbing is extremely incompetent or wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount of money when it was not needed. read more

Daniel said $500 for 2 brass fittings and 1ft of pex pipe is the going rate on a hot Friday at 4pm. He said good luck finding a company to fix it as he threw objects to the ground in anger while attempting to back me in a corner and grossly over charge. He called it a 2hr job while constantly going to his truck to smoke a cigarettes. Ethical values are not in his interest. I did find an ethical plumber that evening. They are terrible. Their work has caused more problems in my house than I had before they came due to poor installation. After multiple burst pipes due and other subsequent problems, I hired another company to come repair their repairs. The company pointed out a handful of clear violations of code as well as a number of best practices that were not followed. In addition to all of the problems at occurred at installation, a year later, my water heater is now leaking gas. We have used Wades previously (through home insurance) and while they were never great, service has gotten progressively worse. There's also always an up-charge that doesn't quite make sense, or an attempt to upsell. What began as shoddy but sufficient work has, over time, become completely unacceptable. I suggest you avoid them whenever possible. read more

To install new water heater, water line modifications, Expansion Tank Code, T& P drain modification 80.00, PRV!!!!! I am a single parent and my kids and I been without hot water since than!!!!!!!!! This company doesn't GAF about nobody. This dishonest, non-communicative company doesn't return emails, phone calls, screen calls, don't answer phone calls. I had two scheduled appointments and was stood up No Call No Show twice. I called multiple times, sent multiple emails and this company don't give a F****. I requested my full money back in cash 1035.00 since we are without hot water this company don't know how to stand on it works and treat people how they want to be treated. I was contacted by the water company stating I had a continuous water leak. Had three other plumbing companies here to help me find the leak, couldn't e found. They recommended I have a leak locating guy come out. Called Wades plumbing, he found the problem. Simple! The downstairs flapper. Wow! Corry was so helpful & kind. They don't deserve a star they deserve a damn trash symbol we have been without hot water since Saturday the guy came placed the hot water heater in when he scraped one side of the wall and knocked a nice size hole in the wall didn't even mention it while taking the $230 for service fee I guess he thought no one wouldnt notice it so called all that weekend no answer finally got someone Monday the lady sent some guy out he said he checked everything and it was the pressure from the gas so we need to contact Piedmont Natural Gas.I contacted Gas company the technician came out che everything and said this pan is to little why did they install it and didn't get a bigger pan so I called Wades and yes the lady answered the technician explained to her that the pan needs to replaced so the water heater can breathe so she said ok we will send someone out Wednesday so Wednesday came no tech they called x2 stating running late we will have to come Thursday well guess what no answer when I called or no show who the hell did American Home Shield refer us too this is bad business I recommend anyone do your research before going with Wades Plumbing in Greer SC I wouldn't let them take on dog shit so another day without hot water thats ok you keep on with this shit your business will fold be blessed read more

I had a leak in the upstairs bathroom. This company was sent out by the warranty company AHS. They made 4-5 trips to my house, each time lit was a different set of plumbers. Each time I had to explain the issue in full. The 3rd or 4th set of plumbers cut 2 holes in my ceiling to look at the pipes under the tub. The 2 holes are at my front door as you enter my house. One hole is maybe 6 inches square. The other hole is 16x8 inches. This was done in March. They have not returned to repair the hole. The warranty company has not been able to make contact with them to get the resolved. Horrible customer service. read more

Our water heater went out on Wednesday afternoon. American Home Shield assigned Wade's to access and repair. The service tech showed up the next day 4 hours late, spent 60 seconds looking at the water heater and said it needed to be replaced. He was to put the work order in that day. Did not happen. Noone answers the phone or returns calls. We paid out of pocket on Sunday for a new water heater and had it installed. Less than a hour and a half job. It's Tuesday of the next week and we still have not heard back from Wade's Plumbing. Very unreliable. read more

Recently had my water heater go out. Called in my AHS warranty on Sunday and by Tuesday a technician was scheduled Adrian diagnosed the issue and reported back to AHS who agreed to replace the water heater. I got my email agreeing to replacement/repair price. Once that was established Wades was working on getting a new water heater in place. With luck everything was approved in a couple days but I was aware AHS could have delays.. but everything feel into place and Wade's was able to get me scheduled for a Saturday install. Daniel was very professional and was able to replace my water heater even with it being in a tricky spot. He made sure to clean up behind him and gave me the warranty paperwork for our new and water heater and I was able to pay the invoice on the spot as agreed. I did read reviews posted and I felt concerned but after talking with everyone at Wade's they were very professional and managed to get my AHS warranty replacement taken care of in 6 days of reporting my claim. read more

I had an appointment with your company between 2-6 today. As of 8:10 pm I was told someone was on the way and no show! I am so upset with the service I have received from your company. A few weeks ago a tech came out to check my Rheem water heater due to water not getting hot in faucets throughout the house. Three men arrived. When they left our issue was "fixed." By the next day our problem had returned. I received a text from one of the techs and was told that Rheem was sending a door sensor. They came out a couple of days later and installed it. One of the techs told me that this would not solve our problem. He told me that he would get in touch with Rheem, AHS and get this resolved. I have all of this info in texts. After a few days he stopped responding to me. I called your office last Thursday and was promised a call back within 30 mins by Kesha. She never called me back. I called the office the next day and spoke with Megan who assured me that she would get back to me. She never did. I left 3 more messages that day and no return call. Yesterday I called HSA again. I then received a text message saying a tech would arrive between 2-6 today. I called the office around 3:30 and was told "oh I should have called you, we're running behind but they will be there today." I reached out to the tech I spoke with previously and he told me that his supervisor who has been doing this for 30 years would be coming to my house to get to the problem this evening. He stopped responding to me at 8:10 pm and there is no answer at the office. The office number that has texted me isn't responding either. You advertise professional, guaranteed service on your website and I'm getting neither. Honestly, I've never had such poor service from a company. Wades Plumbing in Greer, SC is horrible!!!! I would never call them for anything!! They are crooked!!! I needed a replacement water heater and the home warranty people sent Wades to me. Wades Plumbing told me that in order for them to install the replacement water heater they had to bring it up to code. They gave me a quote of $775 just to bring it to code, the water heater was covered by the warranty. I questioned 2 things on the quote and they removed them. That brought the quote down to $625. They installed the water heater and I had it inspected by a professional after because I was suspicious after they removed the 2 things that I questioned them on. The professional discovered that Wades charged me $150 for a disconnect box that they never put in!!!! They also didn't do a few other things that they said they did and charged me for!! After almost 2 weeks Wades decided to finally return my call only after the home warranty people kept calling them. I'm sure they realized that they would lose business with the warrant people and that's probably the only business they can get!! I would never call them for anything!!!! They lied to me and when I questioned the disconnect box was told "I saw it in our office with the receipt but didn't know why it was there". Really?!?!?!
