John & Tristan just left after providing a reasonable repair to our bathroom sink that had been heavily leaking. Called Sunday & these guys arrived first thing Monday morning. Worked quickly, professionally and with a reasonable price. This is the 2nd plumbing issue we've had in the past 2 months and Ethical Plumbing staff have saved the day each time. We highly recommend them! Jeff & Lynn S read more

I live in California, and I recently hired Ethical Plumbing to install a water main and sewer lateral line to a house in Taylors. This project was particularly stressful since I was having to arrange everything from several thousand miles away, but they took away all of the stress related to the water and sewer lines. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. From start to finish, Alisa communicated exceptionally well, responding quickly to my phone calls and emails and keeping me informed about each step of the process. Brandon was great as well. He went the extra mile, took initiative and requested that the sewer utility allow us to tie into an existing lateral line near the street. I had no idea that this was even a possibility, but this extra effort on his part saved me around $10k. Dominick and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to get this project finished in spite of the hot weather. The job went smoothly, quickly, and they left our property neat and clean. All three of them were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the entire process. On top of all this, Ethical Plumbing was less expensive than the other quote that I received for this project. I can't thank them enough, and I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs in the Greenville area. read more

Ethical plumbing should change their name to Jesse James plumbing. "We will rob you but we don't use a gun". I needed a new faucet installed and it seemed like a straightforward job that should not cost an arm and a leg, but, I was charged $630 for 45 minutes of work to install a faucet that I already had purchased. Maybe I shouldn't be blaming the company. Maybe I should blame myself for being ignorant. read more

I don't think a $90 service charge should be included when work is over $500! That's how long it took to flush the system so he was here an hour, but the work was minimal and the price was outrageous. read more

If you want to overpay by a long shot, go with them. They quoted me $8,000 for a tankless water heater for my home. $1500 to fix a leak on my water heater -which they added a bunch of other things to. I got another quote from a different company $4000 tankless water heater and $300 for the same thing ethical quoted $1500 for. The guy that came out kept going into massive detail of useless things that I didn't need nor did I call about. . If I call you for a leak, just tell me what's causing it and how to fix it. People beware!!! Oh and they charge a useless $89 fee just to come out!! read more

Our waterline of about 31 years started leaking so I called a few places, Ethical was able to have somebody come out very quickly, assess the situation and provide quotes for either repairing the leak or replacing the entire line. After weighing the options I decided to go with replacing the entire line since their quote for the job seemed to be very reasonable. When the crew came out to do the work, they were very polite and professional and even though it took two days total to complete, they did ensure that the water service was back on prior to leaving the first day. After completion of running the line, they back-filled in the trench they had to dig, spread grass seed on it and put straw down. Overall I was very pleased with the work they did and the price they charged for the repair, I would definitely recommend them. read more

We've been having problems with the shark bites along our water line failing, we have had 3 replaced before today. Our regular (LICENSED) plumber charged us $400 each time, but couldn't make it out today, so we called Ethical. They wouldn't give a quote over the phone, charged $89 to come out and quote us $1300 for the same exact repair. We were definitely not paying that, so we called another (LICENSED) plumber who not only did not charge a trip fee, but did the repair for $285. I find it very ironic that they call themselves Ethical Plumbing, because they are surely overcharging for routine repairs. Call anyone else before you consider them. read more

I had one of their plumbers come out to UNLOCK my disposal, which took 5 minutes to do. He was a very nice man, the lady who takes the calls was super nice, and then I asked what do I owe you?...the answer blew me away...$89 for the service fee ( which is reasonable) and then wanted to charge me $260 to UNLOCK a simple disposal. I told them NO! I paid the service fee and offer to pay an additional $20 for the guy's little time, but he didnt take it. They got their fee to more than cover gas, labor and sill have profit...so why RIP people off? How is that ethical and affordable which is what they advertise. Warning. Please ask BEFORE you accept work from the so called ethical plumbing company. I will choose differently next time. They lost big time by over charging...too bad. read more

Called on Ethical Plumbing for a leak under our crawlspace. Tristan &Colin arrived and after explaining our situation, they proceeded to get to work. Working in an area that is only 2 ft. high, they determined the cause of the leak. That was the first day...on the second day they replaced all water lines under and in the house as well as installing a new hot water tank outside. Not only was it a very large job, they had to endure the rain for the two days. They found the problem, came up with a solid solution and had us up and running . We would also like to thank Stefanie who was very helpful and understanding of our situation. Thank you Ethical Plumbing for your help and professional team. read more

We contacted Ethical Plumbing late in the work day on a Tuesday. Service call appointment set for the very next morning. Scott and Michael were very communicative regarding their arrival time. They diagnosed our sink plumbing issue and gave us 2 options for fixing. They were respectful of our choice and completed the service in a timely and very economical way. We will certainly call on Ethical plumbing for future plumbing needs. read more

I wasnt happy with this company initially because they charged me for coming out and gave me pricey estimates but didnt fix anything. However, I did receive a refund for the service charge. Thank you! I think it says a lot when someone follows up with customers, values their feed back, and then does something about it. That does show integrity. read more

We needed a pressure relief valve on a water heater replaced. Called Ethical based on reviews. They came out that afternoon because they were already in the area. They fixed the problem by replacing the leaking valve. It took about an hour including half an hour sitting in the truck waiting for the glue to dry. I just think $478 ( $388 plus $89.99 service fee) for the repair was very pricy. They don't include the service fee in the repair and if you say no to the repair you still pay the 90 buck service fee. I think I may start taking some plumbing classes. read more

Misunderstanding. My wife informs me that if I request a service call I should not complain if my expectations aren't always what they should be; that it costs a company money to come out, regardless of the outcome. Bottom line? I called them again to come out and replace a commode. A five-star job was done as is their usual & commode flushes just fine. read more

Problem with leaky toilet . Called ethical this morning and this afternoon got an email with photo and description of Scott the fellow who would be coming. Phone call followed. Scott was on his way in 15 minutes. He arrived, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in a few minutes. Also answered some plumbing questions. Very knowledgeable! Highly recommend this company!!!!! read more

Had a major leak behind a wall. I asked the scheduler if cutting into walls and repair was something they could do. Absolutely was the reply. Scott and a new trainee showed up, stood and looked at the area where the sound of running water emanated from and walked outside and placed extended phone calls. They came back and suggested a "restoration" company. I needed a plumber and was misled to believe that the second company could help. Made an appointment. They showed up 6 hours late with no warning or excuse and offered no help with the leak. Afterwards, "Ethical," as they call themselves, charged me almost $200 for doing absolutely nothing more than tossing a referral to a company that was no help, either. I don't approve of being charged for rendering no service whatsoever. I was eager to start and ready to pay. I was offered no solution yet I paid heavily for absolutely nothing. read more

We had an emergency water problem this week, broken water line, and Ethical was extremely responsive. They juggled appointments to fit us in. Our technician, Scott, was very thorough and professional in explaining the situation and options for fixing. They promptly scheduled the repair and Scott and Mark did an excellent job of fixing and leaving property in great shape. Will definitely use for any future plumbing issues. read more

We had Ethical come out after having had several plumbers out for diagnosis/quotes when our water heater went out. We were prepared to have to go tankless based on consistent feedback, but when the company we were using sent 2 technicians out who openly admitted they had been sent without the details of the job, and had never tapped into gas and done that type of install before, we had to send them packing and go back to the drawing board in our search. I will say that we originally contacted Ethical about quoting the gas tankless water heater install and were told they'd be happy to assess and quote it, however was told when they were at our home that they actually do not do tankless installs. The good news, however, is that they checked out the existing electric water heater that had gone out and let us know that A) the water heater was not nearly as old as we had been told by previous companies, it appeared somewhat new and in good condition and B) it appeared to have been a DIY install by previous owners and had a jacked up wiring job that wasn't to code. They felt it was very possible that it was simply the electrical that was the culprit and may have several more years of life if that was the case. They recommended an electrician who came out and -BINGO!- that was exactly the problem. I appreciate their honesty and that they looked for the simple solutions before jumping to the major ones. This saved us thousands of dollars! We will definitely use in the future for our plumbing needs. read more

The single shower faucet handle was turning on to the left and right; it should only turn one way on and turn back to off... not past stop/off and back on again. Ethical sent a couple of plumbers and... after 15 mins. they couldn't get the handle off. One little screw that holds it was stuck/worn. They said they might need to cut off the handle with a saw. I said no. I paid $39 service visit fee. I used my own (regular shaped) allen wrench set, a little gorilla glue and scotch tape. I glued the end of the allen wrench into the handle's screw. A few hours later, the screw loosened right up and the handle came right off. I called another plumber and after looking it over... it needed a new part (a part that has a handle stopper built in; old stopper part was broken). It will end up costing about 1/3 of what Ethical would have cost... if they had cut the handle off. read more

Good but cost twice as much as other plumbers in the area who are just as good. Literally. The service they provided me cost exactly 2 times the cost from a different plumber. Then I got a quote that was exactly twice as much another plumber I started using. Plus Ethical charges a $39 service fee right off the bat. So twice plus $39. read more

Very Professional! I was visiting my mom in Simpsonville and her water heater went on the fritz so I went on line and found Ethical Plumbing. What a good experience we both had with this company. They came right over and put a new water heater in and my mom was right back in business the same day. Their price was better that 2 other places I called and the technician that came was so kind to my mom he even moved a couch around the room for her. No worries with this company. read more
