Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full dinner, Rose Veg will please. Their Bombay chaat is a delicious tongue teaser and their extensive Indo-Chinese menu will be sure to please all those looking for something a little different. From their drinks menu, their super yummy chiku milk shake hits the spot and is a nice alternative to the standard sweet, salty or mango lassi. I've also had the ragra patties, aloo papri chaat and dahibhala chaat and they're all excellent and the best thing about all of them are the portion sizes. They're crazy huge and fit for a king! My absolute favourite things to order at this restaurant are their wide selection of paratas which you can have them make-to-measure by specifying what stuffing's you want added. The staff are attentive and the service is fast and efficient. We frequent this restaurant often and each time we've been we've noticed couples, large families and mostly Indian clientele. The 183 bus or Kingsbury station on the Jubilee Line will take you very close to this superb restaurant. Highly recommended and very affordable. Two people can easily have a full dinner or lunch for around £8 per head (including non-alcoholic drinks). Now that's what I call value for money!

Dont expect any fine dining here but do expect good good with excellent value for money. £15.00 to feed two people so how can you go wrong. Honestly for lunch i cannot think of any better place as you get options from a good menu selection as well as the buffet option which has a good selection of food including dessert and some of the best Gulab Jambo i have had bar Indian sub continent. Put it this way I left full and I personally did not need to have dinner after. All options tasted good. I would not say it was full of flavour and spice but it was still nice and fresh and well cooked and perfect for Lunch as anything more maybe too much. A perfect option for a quick and cheap meal that will satisfy. Worth a visit and with three other places next to each other you also have other options. Just parking is your only issue in this area.

Service is very friendly and fast. Waiting staff are extremely kind and attentive to the needs of babies and toddlers. High chairs are provided. The food is dominated by an extensive list of 44 different parathas, ranging from the humble aloo paratha to tomato paneer paratha, gobi palak paratha, muli paratha, green peas paratha and many other combinations to suit every taste. They're served hot, and spiced to the right level. The parathas are lovely and soft and come accompanied with at least two curries, usually daal makhni and chana/chola as well as spiced sweet yogurt. The portion sizes are generous and you can easily come away full with just a main course, forgoing any need for a starter. This establishment also serves south Indian, Chinese, Italian and Lebanese dishes. The Italian options include such hybrid offerings such as tikkah paneer pizza and Lebanese offers spicy hummus with pitta and falfel. We tried idli's to test out their ability cook up food from different regions of India. Idli's are notoriously hit and miss items at non-south Indian restaurants due to the need to prepare the mixture and ferment it in the right manner. Congratulations go out to the chefs at Only Parathas for making nice, light and fluffy idli's. The chutneys were fresh and decent but the sambar was some-what liking in fire and punch, although perfectly acceptable. Over-all, a great venue for Paratha's and a place we'll be frequenting quite often. Great prices, really delicious parathas and nice friendly staff.

I have passed the sign for the restaurant on numerous occasions when driving along Headstone Lane…read morewithout ever really thinking about looking up its' details. So tonight the Other Half said "let's go for something to eat. Where do you want to go?". Now this is a leading question because we eat predominantly Indian Vegetarian whenever we go out to eat. Now I hope you don't think this is cheating but I have a Tastecard so, during the week, we can get 50% off or 2 for 1 meals. So we called them (as sometimes you have to for certain restaurants participating in this scheme) and booked a table and jumped in the car ( we only live live 5 minutes away!). OK, so the signage that I passed was on Headstone Lane. It turns out it's actually tucked away down a side turning called Broadfields. Turning into, and driving down Broadfields, it seems unprepossessing, I mean it's at the end of a a cul-de-sac which doesn't look like it leads anywhere!!!! There was a large gate at the bottom, which was half open, with a large sign announcing Broadfields Country Club and Mumbai Gardens Restaurant. Once we drove through the gates, it was rather hard to work out where we were meant to go. There was a building immediately in front of us (very much the back of it) so we drove to the right only to find that THAT definitely wasn't the front of the building. Turned round and drove round the other side, which seemed equally devoid of life. We parked and walked along the patio and found a door that opened..... into a room the size of a football pitch (ok maybe I'm exaggerating just a little)! It was a really nice, huge room, modern glass-topped tables and pretty, high-backed chairs and three waitresses standing at the back and, er, waiting. We ordered drinks, starters and two curries together with jeera rice and peshwari naan. They ask if you want your food made mild or medium, which was quite welcome. The food was very nice, good portions although seemed all to have been cooked in the same sauce. In conclusion, the food is very nice, the staff attentive and caring. It's a nice venue although the ambience was sadly lacking as we were the only ones there until half an hour before we left. The main shortcoming was the lack of clear signage on the building with regard to parking and to indicate the restaurant entrance. If you didn't know it was there, you would never know the restaurant existed and I don't see how it will stay in business without attempting to advertise and get it noticed a lot more!
