Very tasty and filling after eating both of these tacos. total cost came to 12.58 with the surcharge (3%) for using plastic. Again many places and areas to sit and dine at, even an outside area. We came right when the food court was open and were on a roadtrip so we were hungry and wanted something fast. The hubs ordered 2 pork tamale ala carte (there is a platter if you want) and then he got some breakfast tacos. He specified no cheese or dairy and was told they would not put cheese in. 10 min later his buzzer went off and he opened up his box to find there was cheese in his breakfast taco. He brought it back to ask if there was cheese and the worker said no, there is no cheese. I took a look and saw there was shredded cheese in the taco and brought it back to the counter and brought it to the owners attention. The owner asked the worker if there is cheese in the taco, the worker said no. Then I literally pulled the cheese out of the taco and it was stringy, definitely cheese. Then they took back the box and said they would remake the breakfast taco with no cheese. So the two tamales were small tamales and a little dry. It's good with a dipping sauce. These are a nice concept and this one gives family run food businesses a store front and all of us hungry customers plenty of options. While passing thru town we decided to stop for a geocache. This place is right at GZ, so we got food and something to drink. Union hall has lots of different food and drink spots inside. We ended up getting tacos. Staff was very friendly. The food was so delicious. Loved the tacos. Also got a purple margarita that went perfectly with the tacos. It was strong also. If I lived in Waco, I'd be at this place all the time. Great spot to hang with a group of friends who all want something different to eat. read more

I ate here on Wednesday Dec. 11th. I ordered The Big Tex (Southern Fried Chicken, Potatoes, BACON JAM, Queso Blanco and Ranch served on Home-Made Flour Tortilla w/ Salsa Rojo) and The Elote. Found this place driving through town on the way to somewhere else. The urban food court is quaint. The tacos at Wacool were pretty good. The big Tex one was close to being my favorite. Wacool Tacos and Tamales Korean Taco - Bulgogi Taco was excellent, good size and generous amount of bulgogi. Would definitely order this item again and recommend to all. Wacool Taco - Carna Asado was good, did not meet expectations, would prefer to order a second bulgogi taco but wanted to try a variety. Will know next time. Tamale would definitely pass on the tamale, probably the least favorite of the three items ordered. Really need to improve on the tamale if that is part of the title name of your restaurant. Also, there are no salsas or spicy sauces to dress your tacos. Not worth the money. $5 for a single taco, Portion for the walking taco is significantly smaller than before and cost over $10, asked the older guy that's always there if they changed it and he just shook his head no and didn't look at me. Been here a few times and it's usually pretty tasty. However, this morning was a rough one. Went over at 9:15 A.M. and stood for a few minutes before one of the ladies very rudely said, "We're not open." We asked when they opened and they said 9:00. We both looked at our watches confused. We stood there for about 15 minutes, and they finished counting the register and took our order. We ordered 3 breakfast tacos to go. It took another 15 minutes for them to figure out how to take our cash. We got our tacos, which were not prepared for take out. We took them back to our office right around the corner and they were loaded to the max which was great, but they were super greasy. All in all, not worth the 40 minute experience. Very poor customer service, running a restaurant is alot more than just cooking. Food is mediocre at best.

There were 2 of us, we each ordered 2 different tacos, 4 in all. They were all so bad, that we could not finish them. Korean bbq taco, Wacool taco, BBQ carnitas and Big Tex. The tortillas weren't homemade, the meat in each tacos were not fresh. It actually looked and tasted like they were reheated up from a couple of days ago. BBQ carnitas was nauseatingly greasy mixed with bbq sauce. I can't even begin to describe each taco without feeling like they're gong to come back up from my stomach. They were just so bad. I would not recommend this place at all. There are better authentic taco places than this. read more

They haven't got things figured out yet. I ordered a Baja Fish taco and Hatch Green Chile Taco. I saw them put the tortillas on a warmer, but then there was some delay and by the time I got my food, the tortillas were actually cold, and the contents barely warm.
